@@Fousyrdous I never saw Chloes
@WorldofWayneUK my mistake must of been the grills did u realise she has an engine upgrade thinking of buying but haven't really seen anyone putting up on youtube maybe something u could do ? Just to see what it looks like 👍
I’m going to enjoy watching this build. Can’t justify £1400+ on it so will happily watch Wayne create this iconic vehicle
I hear ya! I like these older DB5’s but waiting to see what they produce for the Goldfinger edition, then make up my mind then as to which one I pick to build. No way of affording to build 2 of these, let alone pissing off the wife lmao 🤣
Nearly $3000 Australian....becomes very expensive..
Getting mine on Friday.
Wow! There is No Way I would have the patience to do the spokes on the wheel rims! Great job Wayne!
Ditto for me too.
Ok, you wore me down, I’ve ordered and received my first set of DB5 parts.
They look amazing. I’m going to build the regular wheel first. Looks very challenging, but with the help of your video, I feel good about it.
Hi Wayne.mines being delivered tomorrow, can’t wait to build this with you
Oh the joys of those wheels. Hope agora continue this kit into next year as I can’t afford to do it till then 😱
Best dressed Agora model maker on RUclips.. looking forward to enjoying watching this build
bet he's sitting there in his boxer's too lmao
Good show Wayne, lacing those wire rims is very cool!
Shaken AND stirred, Wayne 😀👍
DUDE ! Thanks for saving me $900+ and allowing me to vicariously build this model through you !
Do you get this cheaper through Wayne?
It looks like you were having a bloody good time there agent Wayne! 🍸one martini shaken not stirred!😊
Most definitely the regular/harder way looks sooo much better! 👍🏻
Didn't think Wayne would make a verbal slip-up in this build, clearly I ' spoke ' too soon.
I could totally see Wayne as James Bond or another secret agent.
Well my 1st issue came today........Took me 3 1/2 hours 1st wheel lol. But I tackled it TY Wayne for the tips (My 1st ever build)
It will get easier the more time tou do the spokes
Hi Wayne your looking snazzy 👍👍👍👍excellent car
Wow! This is gonna be huge!
How many candles tomorrow, birthday brother? 64 for me. 🎉🍻🎉
A great car, looking forward to seeing all the stages. of coarse being James Bond you had to get to pack 007
My pack 1 is coming tomorrow. 😀
Individual spokes on all the wheels !!!! I couldn't deal with that. It would drive me nuts in seconds.
I'll wait for DB10 ❤ Awesome build and video!
High quality work as always!!! Bravo!!!! This Aston Martin will be better in the end than the other from Eaglemoss you did? Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷✌️✌️✌️✌️🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍
So far appart from the wire wheel it is the Eaglemoss kit.._.Just think it a re jigged copy .Gonna wait for the Esprit
@@longtimelurker3591 Thanks for your answer,I appreciate it.I expect Esprit me too and I want to be.... full loaded!!!!!! ✌️✌️✌️✌️🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Good video thanks lee
hi wayne cant wait for my pack to arrive butgonna try the regular wheel but might have trouble being partially sighted still gonna try looks grand
I went ahead and ordered this. Darn you! Great video! Anyway, I was a third the way through the eaglemoss DB5 and this seems better engineered. The last thing I got from the other build was the case so I don't have to pay for the premium version as I already have the case. I can add my own light strips if I want. I would have liked to have built this for my dad before he passed. He was a big Bond fan, especially of Sean Connery and the DB5.
Looks like the Tribbles are taking over the workshop! Nice build, so far. but omg I could never manage to do all the spokes on the wheels, 1 and half hours just for one!
Re door cards.. I can almost hear Mike Lane already designing an upgrade :)
You need to film yourself for the intro walking then turning to shoot. That would be hilarious.
I am planning to subscribe early next year for this. I do wish they redo the Goldfinger version of the DB5. I have slowly been collecting the parts for that.
I don't think the parts for the agora DB5 would be compatible with the old EM one.
Love the outfit Mr 009 great vid 🍺💞🇦🇺😂
Ooohh.. spoked wheels.... THAT explains why the video is 31 minutes! :)
You should do the hachette king tiger
Hi wayne those metal pins I think they are splined at one end and smooth at the other
cannot see many people with the skills to lace those spokes' i had a hell of a time trying to replace spokes on my bike years ago .......
Well, this is starting better than the Aston Martin build. Looking back on that, of the first 7 stages, I think you only actually did stuff for, like, 3 of them. Everything else was "Look at the parts, set them aside, stage done". Lol.
General rule of thumb on most things (unless directed otherwise), is to only tighten until you get your first bit of real resistance.
(Not a comment to Wayne, just the general audience.)
looking forword to build this one my self special since they are still deliver to denmark and its going to be my first agora model
The regular wheels are the same ones from the e type jaguar ( done 5 of those already) fiddly as f.
The regular wheel looks better - maybe next time on a plain background as the grid on the cutting mat wasn't helping visibility!
Nice start, but I'm yet to be convinced about that L.E.D number plate
Jason Stevenson over Mr Fusions will do an electrical mod/upgrade for that
@bedfordshiremodeller4491 I've only seen the film once at the cinema, and I can't recall it being an electronic numberplate on the car?
So why on earth would they make this gorgeous car look so tacky...
Cheers for putting my mind at ease 👍
@@MartinFutter70 I hav no idea 🤷♂️
Pack 1 just arrived. Never did one before so I think I will go with the easy build wheels. As you get both, I will give the hard wheel a try but not confident about it. This is what put me off buying E type. Love your videos Wayne. Only bought this because you show what to do so clearly
The wire wheel regular build is a direct copy of the DeAgostini Jaguar E-Type 1:8 wire wheel build except... DeAg recommended a 3 spoke crossover when criss-crossing the spokes for long enough and then stepped down to say a 2 spoke crossover would do. Wisely Agora have only gone for the 2 spoke crossover. 3 spoke is extremely difficult to achieve.
..yep, I expected and understand that.. they spent a lot of efforts to deliver such a skillfull piece of work and they will lull and hug it as long as they can!
Going back to the dimensions issue, don't you think that the Agorà wheels are more correct (dimensionally speaking) than the Eaglemoss one? Thanks for your time and keep going👍🏻👍🏻
Definitely
So the harder version of the wheel is... 'be-spoke'? ;)
lol. Very good
Wayne the A spokes inserted into grooves easy but the B spokes don't reach the grooves. Could they have mixed my spokes up? I haven't mixed them up. Am I overlooking something? Be gutted if have yo take them all out. Regards Les
wow how hard was that wheel to do took me a few goes and was going to go the easy route glad i stuck with it and did it the second way
I.managed to get it down to an hour now lol
Are those tribbles on your wrk desk?
Yep. Loads of them
Where is the Martini???
Awesome video, can't wait to get mine. Do you get both easy and hard versions of the wheels in the pack?
Yep
Wayne, which version of the spokes are you going to do from this point on? The detail on the one you have to place the spokes individually is amazing to look at.
The regular one. It's takes over an hour each one but it's worth it
I've gone for a two year build on this car as it is your first from Agora.
I have the Goldfinger version in 1:8, so having this next side will be a nice comparison.
The only thing I do not like is the digital number plate. There was not on the db5 in the last film so why this one. I do hope as we get near to the stage we fit it that they will consider a standard version as seen in the film openjng
They do a static version too I believe
Maybe instead of wearing a full tuxedo you should just get one of those tuxedo T-shirts?
It's james bond..of course it has to be tuxedo
Wonder why they didn't go with the Goldfinger version? A little strange. I mean, it's beautiful, but a little strange!
Probably because it was done by EM and alot of people got burnt.
The individual spoked wheels look far better than the plastic cheat wheel
Did you notice that the instructions tell you to put the hinge on backwards so when it goes on the car it won't open. Needs to be mounted the other way up.
No but it will be an easy switch
Great Build! Unusual to have so much to do in Pack 1. I'm surprised the doors don't have leather / carpet accents. (Mike Lane?) So, what did you end up doing with the Eaglemoss version? I think you ended at around Stage 80 or so?
I completed it but I was building it for someone else so it's now in its new home
'Cue forward..' unintentional pun? Q forward? *lol*
What I admire about just about every one of these piecework kits is how they are designed to be relatively idiot proof. It's so weird, though, that the Enterprise seems to invite idiots.
Wayne, when I attached the window to the door there remained a gap between the door and window. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? Nevermind: There was a rogue piece of casting on the post preventing the window from sitting properly. I shaved it off and now it's fine.
I need to check.mine. I will revisit the door in stage 2 as we are ganna have yo spin the hinge around as I put it in the wrong way
I read that comment about the hinge being backwards as I was assembling mine. So I flipped it over and found it won’t move at all that way. I think I’ll hold off on finishing the door until we know more.
Great car for a great movie.Do they sent to the Netherlands to?
Yep
I'll have a Kraken poured and not shakend 🥃
Did you know that the number plate BMT216A was the original one that aston martin gave the car before giving it to the film makers, but Q branch didn't think it through when they put onthe revolving number plates but still have a GB sticker on the boot. BTW it is a brute of a car to drive, as it doesn't have power steering and I had to really force the car to steer when I drove it.
I'd love to give it a test drive
Am I seeing two marks on the hood along the edge on both sides across from each other??
Nope. They are fingerprints
Hi Mr Wayne! 1st of all thx for the great help your videos give us! Then 2 questions: is the Agorà db5 model more dimensionally accurate than the Eaglemoss? You think that Agorà will give Hachette the licence to sell the Db5 weekly, like as they did with the T800 terminator? Thx for your attention and best regards
I'm thinking this is Agora baby. It ships worldwide so I can't seenit going to.other distributors
Looks fantastic so far! What scale is this at?
1:8
@@WorldofWayneUK Cool, makes me wish we could get a kit like this at this scale for FAB 1 from Thunderbirds. Just imagine all the little extending cannons and the hydrofoils and skis XD
Where can you get this fit from. I'm currently building the Dodge Charger RT Fast and Furious and the Batman Tumbler. I'm having them from WH Smiths
Agora models
Wayne, is this an evolution of the DB5 you built some time ago? I noticed some similarities with that like the dual sets of wheel rims...
No. The original db5 didn't have that.
Hi John great channel... my question is where can I get a padded cushion from ...
Who is John lol. www.partworkupgrades.com
Hi John do you know when the next pack is coming out
Wayne out of curiosity are you planning to continue the Enterprise D build now that a new company has taken over?
Yep. I already started it again
Well Wayne it looks nice...
It would of been nice to have a working window for the price... plus I guess "Bond" was making too many long distance calls because they took away his phone in the door...lolol 🤣
Another thing is the digital license plates look so out of place and size...but supposedly they give you the original style instead which doesn't turn... which is fine because in the movie if you look at the front plate it doesn't turn anyways...
Now people are saying that Agora Models is doing the Gold Finger version again...is that true... because I didn't think so since the other DB5 was out shortly ago...
And Agora Models were just continuing other Bond cars...am I correct...?
Take care Wayne...best regards always across the pond...
No this is completely.different fro. The DB5 we did before. Yep , this is the first of many
@@WorldofWayneUK Hi Wayne...have you done a Friday build yet ...just wondering...the DB5 was I think Thursday early then you had your Thursday chat right...
Just wondering about Friday...lolol
I'm up because of my cancer... it's keeping me awake and when I'm up I watch your videos...best mate..
@robinaroundtown...2194 no I'm off this weekend to London so the next vid will be Monday
@@WorldofWayneUK no problem mate... I'll watch some of your old videos...lolol
You have a great time in London Town...
I miss it... some day I'll make it back... God willing..
Bless you and your wife...
Hi Wayne I managed to get first row of spokes in and 8 of the second row in and then disaster. How on Earth do you manage it? Regards Leslie
A real steady hand. Normally once a few spokes are in on the second row it becomes more stable. The first row.is normally the hardest.
@@WorldofWayneUK I won't give up. At least there is the easy build wheel, which I did no bother
I think if I tried to do the Regular wheel, it would drive me to the point of insanity and beyond. Is there a price differential between the two?
Also, having just finished watching the Eaglemoss DB5 build playlist, the differences between the two are already evident. And not just because Wayne is seven stages into this one and hasn’t had a “we don’t do anything with these parts yet” stage…
You get both wheels in the pack so you get to decided. It's the same price
The easy wheel looks better than the E Type ones
🫨
The DB5 wheel spokes are pre done for you by the model manufacturers
Don't suppose the later parts would be compatible with the Eaglemoss one?
I doubt it
This is a completely new design and model agora completely started from fresh 3D scanning the car from the last film.
Moss Bross must be making a fortune out of you Wayne?
A short sleeved shirt is NOT the correct dress code with a Tux. Long sleeves with double cuffs and cufflinks is the right way!
Lol. I actually own this one
No 'Stage 007' reference? Missed a trick there pal!
I certainly did lol
£119 a month! no way
are you doing this over 12 months or 24 months another nice poster I see
12 months
The wheel seemed like a filler issue 😢
Stunning apart from the obvious paint defect as he turned the bonnet over.
A lot of peeps are saying that. I will have to show a real close up on the next video. The paint is fine
To much plastic for the price but fantastic video loved the wheel build shame the door card was plastic anyway I'll stay tuned 😉
Too bad it isnt based on thunderball or goldfinger. So called new bond is total garbage made for women
Had the Lego version once it was a blast to build
I've got a Lego one it's a very clever build
Should be a fantastic model when completed. Couldn't help but notice the defect on the bonnet, rear left corner area. Looks like "silicone fisheye "in the paint . I think it will play havoc with your OCD. Can't you get a replacement? You are paying a premium price and would expect perfection. All the best from OZ🦘🦘🦘
Lol. That's a fingerprint
God that wheel was fiddley
