    Because this vehicle is an old one that first came out years ago it is probably the reason why it is all over the place, When you start to get deliveries of the parts you are itching to get building and there wasn't much of that but it is a lovely motor

    Started building this lovely model when it was released in 2011, but only managed to get a few issues due to bad deliveries at the newsagents. Was so disappointed. Will certainly put my name down to do this model, along with my ecto 1.

    Hi Wayne.. Im doing the DB5 too up to issue 46 ... If you watch SKMR.. Steve has a download on his FB Paige for the screw chart.. And whats really wierd.. It at the last issue 85-86. You get the screw chart in the build booklet.. So if you download that PDF file will be more helpful during the build.. Joe . in the U. S... Ps: i do love all your builds on your channel too!

    Hi Wayne
    I'm going to have to drag mine out the loft and get it finished off, got a bit further than you and ended up shelving it as some of the issues were very delayed and in back order for ages.
    Got them all eventually though, together with a screw comparison chart which you might have in one of your later issues.
    Regards. John

    When I built this model ten years ago they sent out a screw identification chart later on because lots of people complained.. It was a 1to1 photo.. so it should be in one of the issues you have.
    By the way I have started building the Routemaster...fantastic model.

    Congratulations on reaching 50K! Well deserved & I'm sure it won't be long before you reach your next milestone. Very surprised with this build so far. It seems unusual to have so many issues & steps so early on with so little to actually do. I'm sure it'll pick up soon though & you're bound to have the opposite problem of having too much to do in a short space of time. lol

  • @rickgregory9616
    @rickgregory9616 2 года назад +3

    Hi Wayne. Congratulations on 50k viewers. Let's get you to 100k! Why does this build look familiar? (Ferrari F40 - parts you get but don't use - I'll never understand the logic for that). I am disappointed though. It looks like, at the start anyway, that there are more plastic parts over metal. For a high-class car, you would think the seats would be plush fabric, and the engine all metal.

    Hi Wayne I did this model when it first came out I did it week by week from the newsagent. There was a point when you built the passenger compartment you could not do anything for 5 weeks. It was a nice model at the end but a real pain to put together. If I was doing it again I would wait till I had it all and then do it all at once. When you get to the front wing there are indents with a bar across. On the real car these were holes. In the mag it said Aston Martin engineers passed the model even though the pictures inside the magazine shows the holes clearly. As a fellow partwork veteran I would say this was the worst one.

    Wayne, I have two of these Aston Martin DB5's and I built one though I'm missing three pieces so I haven't fully completed it yet and I bought one that was made except the steering wheel section had broken off so I don't know how the heck I'm going to fix it but once you make these you will definitely have to find the room to keep one because they are stunning.

    I wish somebody would have given a second thought to making the screw box black as it is the same color as the screws. why make it harder to see the screws when you can avoid it?
    Do you think you will get another set of instructions when it comes time to use the parts you couldn't this time? or will they say "refer back to issue 1"
    I can't imagine the frustration you'd feel if you were getting these once a month and you couldn't do anything but stare at the packaging

    I would love to build one of these models. The scale of the pieces, the detail, the mouldings, all look fantastic. I initially got interested in these kits when you began the Porsche 917k. (My favorite race car) I next took an interest in the Ferrari F40. But here's the thing...Your last post on the F40 was 4 weeks ago. Likewise for the 917k. Is this how long it takes to receive each new stage? I'd die of impatience. I notice that you have at least a dozen models in que. Is that to keep you from dieing of impatience? I don't think I could do it
