    #travelvlog #capetownfood #capetownsouthafrica
Enjoy this Cape Town, South Africa travel vlog. I’m in Cape Town, South Africa for my birthday and anniversary and thought I should share my travel itinerary and plans with you. If you ever go to Cape Town, South Africa, you can steal my itinerary and do these top things while there. In my first video I shared my things to do while in Cape Town, in this second video I’m showing you where to go to eat and what to eat while in South Africa. I’m tasting South Africa’s best food and wine around Cape Town.
Use this as your travel guide after you’ve already booked your trip through Expedia or whatever site you use. My husband and I stayed near the V&A Waterfront in the de Waterkant area of Cape Town, South Africa at an AirBnb. This is a trip review of our stay with recommendations of things to do while in South Africa. We wanted to visit the aerial cable car while at Table Mountain but it was closed due to wind. As usual, we did a food tour while traveling and you can catch that in this video. So here are my top things to do and places to eat while in Cape Town, South Africa.

Hhahahah the first intro of you at MOzambik was hilarious , why do we always want our mans plate🤣 ? I love a thick curry I noticed that Creole food and other curries that are not as thick in other cuisines remind me of a stew , so my mind cant reconcile the fact that its a curry and my cravings would never be satisfied no matter how delicious it is hence Jamaican and Indian curries have my heart. But when it comes to Soup and Stew that is when that New Orleans flavor comes to the front of the dancefloor.

Usually I’m good with my order but his food looked better and that rarely happens. Lol! I love me an Indian and Thai curry.

for a very authentic experience, get hold of some families in the city or town you want to visit, try and ask them if it will be ok if you can have a braai, so the main things is wood, wors (herb and spiced mince in a form of a sausage "but 1000x better). then you need some other proteins like a good steak or chop. there will be usually braai broodjies, potato salad, pap (pap is dried and finely crushed corn that gets cooked in water with a pinch of salt) and to to up the pap some home made tomato and onion sauce, restaurants is one thing but they cant beat authenticity like a Propper braai.

+Psycho_Rabbit_ZA Gaming I wish, but how am I supposed to ask a stranger to invite me to their house for a meal?

make friends, look i know the world is a bit on the not so nice side, but trust me you can find friends that will become like family at the end of the day. on your next visit start talking to locals, but in safe areas, or just have a braai of your own, come visit, buy some braai wood at the local garage, go to checkers or picknpay, grab yourself some wors, and please not the thin stuff. and o yeah before your braai that stuff, learn to make authentic pap, a nice braai relish, and you must not i repeat do not forget to make braai broodjies, not store bought please. and check out first how to correctly braai wors. trust me its heaven if done correctly. hope you have another visit soon. @@tiffanyjskitchenrx

@@tiffanyjskitchenrx I agree Tiffany you cant ask that from a stranger. A suggestion if you please , next time you're back you can go to a " Shisa Nyama " which directly translated means ' meat by fire ' and that is our version of a barbecue, expecting you to go to a braai with a strange family is like asking us to land in Texas and go to somebody's family cookout instead of just grabbing a good meal from a great restaurant that sells barbecue style food. and its best done in the Townships but not exclusive to the hood , this is South African culture not only in Cape Town but across the country, you can even order braai meat on ubereats. Kayelitsha in Cape Town is one of the best for this. One thing I know about travelling and eating out , you cat go everywhere all in one trip. Well done , this was lovely and Im a local. Ill try CHIng Ching that porkbelly looked amazing.
