    I love the electrical system for 7dtD, i usually use motion sensors+speaker around my base to give me a heads up for incoming zombies.

    Howdy Saven. Just started playing last week. The game has a lot of mechanics that can take a while to figure out on your own. Your tutorials are incredibly helpful for noobs like me. Thanks for the effort and great job on these vids!

    The switches are really useful for my base defence, it allows me to separate traps and rely on smg turrets to carry me whilst I repair other things and restock etc. The biggest pain I ran into when I first started including traps into my base designs was that if you have them all running from the start you get an inconsistent damage output throughout the night. If you leave SMG turrets to just afk shoot they will burn through their 900 rounds within an hour which is great for surviving the first.

    Hi, the absolute maximum of blocks in between relays is 13 (from the first one, then 12 blocks later the next one) this is because the wire tool allows connection 3 blocks away from you. This way you will have a perfectly straight wire in between the relays as well.
    This is actually the case for all electrical items.

      Will the wire go through walls? say I want to tun a few different lights for different rooms from where the generator is. will it go through floor or walls to power those lights?

      Yes, you can run wires through walls and solid blocks. I have a video coming soon talking about wiring techniques.

    Great video! As far as the switches go, I wish there was a way to turn on the generator and/or battery bank with the switch instead of having to go directly to the banks. Any suggestions?

    Love your content buddy. How long does a generator run with no load and then how long does it run without a load? I can’t find it lol

    • @SavensWorld
      @SavensWorld  3 года назад +3

      I'm not sure exactly how long a full generator will last. It depends on the amount of power being drawn. Although, a maxed out generator seems to last for several hours. I've had a setup last the entire Horde night drawing almost max power the entire night and it still had plenty of fuel leftover once the Horde was done.

      @@SavensWorld I’m using two gennies at max power and was wondering how many nights all the traps would last on one fill up only running at night with a timer. Afraid to test it to thoroughly because as soon as I do it’ll run out hoard day lol

    • @SavensWorld
      @SavensWorld  3 года назад +2

      @@TheDNonn Totally understand. You should be good for a couple nights, no prob. I would suggest doing a simple test. See how much fuel is used over a single night and use that as your baseline.

    These videos are all really well done! There are just a bit too many cuts to save a second or two.
    I still had a lot of fun watching and trying out these items in the game!
    Thumbs up from me :-)

    Oh, does running electronics increase the heatmap?

    • @savannahbutler5973
      @savannahbutler5973 3 года назад

      The gas powered gen does.. last I checked solar doesn't, now going "into" them does raise heat, cuz ur making noise.

    White status of switches --- had power but is no longer powered

  • @daniellarson8291
    @daniellarson8291 3 года назад +1

    Does the wattage on the system increase the amount of gas used/second?
    So does a maxed out gennie connected to 300watts of electronics use more gas than that same one only connected to 20 watts of electronics?
    If not, does the total wattage output effect used fuel? Ie. Max wattage of 150 uses less than max wattage of 300?
    Or does the system used a combined method of used wattage over total wattage is gas consumption?
