Mekk has always gone for huge reads, which as a playstyle can work with Falcon, but works so much better with a character that can kill you with 3 clean hits. Combine that with mastering some crazy chaingrabs, and you can make that work at a high level.
It always seemed to me like mekk didnt know what to do with falcon's speed. Like he'd almost get too excited and just have to throw moves out. Gannon is the temperance he needs.
If he transfers back to the captain i hope he brings that temperance with him

Interesting point that Mekk seems to want to play Ganon optimally more than Falcon. For competitive smash having a character whose optimal style matches the player's is important.

@@TheMacaroniPanda yeah and i like playing Peach, until I have to fight a Marth or Puff and actually have to be campy and patient to have a chance. I enjoy playing Peach against spacies tho so I'm better at that.

M2K is so based i wish he would play again. i just love him as a human and like watching his play. Hearing his completely unchanged opinion on cliffhangers gives me nostalgia lol.
Hax is also based. im really glad you had him on!
Leffen was right about the falcon/shiek set, in a way, but it was trivial. Of course they wherent optimal, nobody was. they still played very very well for the time and it took many years for people to improve past those flaws.
Take literally any set at any time and you can find flaws. Its simply always true.
Leffen is kinda just a hater imo.
The actual truth, is that the set WAS very high level, alot was done well, and can be learned from, and yet there was still also alot to be pushed further and fixed too.
