  • On this ride I cycled from Exeter to Dunkeswell Airport. I saw many cyclists along the way, and one unfortunate chap who collapsed and needed so assistance. I passed through many small towns and villages, which is always interesting to see what's going on.
    My observations are the subject of this ride. So come along and enjoy another great cycling adventure.

      Hey Anthony, unfortunately I came across one of those crazy drivers a couple of weeks ago and got injured. I haven’t been able to ride since but hopefully I will be back on the bike soon. I will explain all in an upcoming video. Take care and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    I did some of that route on Friday this week through Collompton rode from Dawlish to Taunton. It was cold 4 layers. some of the roads are very muddy, be safe mate. Hope that guy who fell is okay.

      Hey buddy I hope you’re well. That sounds like a great route you took to Taunton. The farmers are definitely making the roads/ lanes treacherous for us cyclists with the amount of mud being dumped on them. It’s very sad to see someone lying on the ground in need of assistance, bless him. Thankfully the other chap walk him home. Take care and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    12:06 You gave me a moment with that tractor coming round the corner, bud. Another great ride and here's hoping the old chap is OK and back out on the saddle 👍

      Hi Dave, timing is everything and coming across those tractors at the bottom of the hill on that bend just over the narrow bridge was pure luck I guess. 😂😂 You never know what you might see out on a ride, and seeing that poor chap laying there on the ground was very sad. Take care and thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    Great video and well done for navigating those large tractors on narrow lanes 👍🏼 Good that most cycling help each other when in difficulty.

      Hey Martin, you never really know what’s going to happen when out on a ride. Thankfully I didn’t meet those tractors on that narrow bridge I just crossed, because things would have got interesting very quickly 😂😂 It was so sad to see that chap laying on the damp grass in need of assistance, I was glad I was there to help him. Take care and thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    It's a long time since I've been to Dunkeswell but from memory it was operated by the USAF in WWII as an anti-submarine base. I think they flew B24 Liberators and worked the Bay of Biscay.

      Hey Angus, it’s always nice to learn something new, and to be honest I haven’t really looked into the history of Dunkeswell airport so thank you. I really enjoy the route riding up and around the airport, even more so now. Take care and thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

      Hi Ade, Orange Spandex, I love it😂😂 That poor chap must of had a dizzy spell I guess and fell off his bike.Thankfully having a soft landing on the grass and avoiding any injuries. Great video. What are all the beep sounds from and why ? Thank you stay safe and God bless

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 месяца назад

      Hey Bicycledad, the sounds you can hear are from my wahoo headset giving me alerts from my rear radar. I have a Garmin Varia RCT715 Camera and Tail Light and radar fitted. So it’s letting me know what’s happening behind me etc it’s a very clever piece of equipment. I don’t know if you have heard about this but I highly recommend it if you are a road cyclist. I do have a video for you to view on the channel if you’re interested. Thank you for watching and happy riding. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    A lovely run :)))
    23% of the fixed battery left - or the range extender battery, or 23% of the combined batteries ?
    Thanks for sharing !

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey James, the mileage you can do on a single battery charge always amazes me. Adding the battery extender really does give you more flexibility on the ride. I only bring the extender with me on those extra long adventures or those hilly routes, but now and again it’s just nice to have a relaxing ride on a regular route and keep the bike in turbo. Take care and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

      Thanks for your reply, I asked because it looked as if you had your battery extender on your bike.
      Was it just a black water bottle ?

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider  3 месяца назад +1

      @ hi James, I didn’t take the battery extender out on this ride, that is my fidlock water bottle which does look very similar to be fair. Take care 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻
