True. Never got kicked in the groin but I once got kicked in the middle of my chest, the adrenaline made the pain go away in merely 2 seconds. After the fight it came back and man, it hurt like hell

When I was training in 1999 there was a visiting instructor from New York that told the best kicker in the class to kick him in the groin. He took the kick and ignored the pain… went on instructing. Pain does not disable people it pisses them off and gives them adrenaline. Lesson learned. Groin shots do not stop attackers.

I was always told you don't kick someone as they could lush you down. Taught me stay at arm length and go for the face as hard and fast as you can when they come in. As he said "take their ability to fight but don't give them a chance to do the same to you"

Very true, im a krav guy and as you all well know this is our signature move lol but it's also important to remember there are risks that come with a groin kick like them trapping your feet inbetween legs and that causing you to tumble over or if they're high or super aggressive it won't stun them in the same way.
Keeping on your feet is definitely preferred!

As a man who lost a testicle in a fight with an angry Drag Queen who was threatening restaurant customers on an ice/meth rage. He was holding the stilettos by the toes and using the thin heels like daggers on hinges. I still have one of "his" diamante covered red stilettos. They were originally white, but groins and testees bleed hard. All in all, I could honestly say, I'd have the ball to do it all again.

Kicking in general is risky in a self defense situation. It's inherently unstable because you're on one foot.
Striking/targeting the groin has it place in self defense but it is not a solitary fight ender, especially with how adrenaline can increase a person's pain tolerance. At best and most realistically a successful shot to the groin might provide one with openings to follow up with other strikes or techniques (if such is warranted).

As a dude who's been hit in the dick, it only really stops you if you don't expect it. In fights or sparring I've been hit there multiple times with full strikes, it hurts but you can ignore it, and I can assure you in a situation where a man wants to hurt you, it's not stopping him.
