Got respect or not, flying with such condition is dangerous. Why not delay it until good weather or not in thunderstorm like that. It makes bad turbulence in the air.
Just a little information to those not familiar with jet engines. When the engines are operating in heavy rain the pilots put on a switch from cockpit that makes igniters (spark plugs) inside the engine go on "continuous fire", meaning they ignite all the time. In the extremely rare event that the engine have a flame out due to rain, it will immediately be reignited. The re-ignition are so fast, that it most often are not able to be seen on engine instruments, in the cockpit. A jet engine are actually slightly more efficient when in damp/rainy weather due to the higher expansion rate the air have inside the engine increasing EPR (Engine pressure ratio) of the engine. The engine pressure ratio are a very accurate indication of your jet engines workings. The EPR indicator in the cockpit are one of the 4 key engine instruments along with fuel flow, engine temperature, oil pressure/temperature.

Have you ever stood next to a 747, or an A380? How the hell do those monsters ever get off the ground?!! They do though!
That means we can too😂
We had to land through something similar to that down the coast from Barcelona some years back. It was rough as anything, people were vomiting and some were praying. Thankfully we got down safely but the resort was flooded and parts of the beach had been washed away
Jamais vu un pilote regarder autant derrière lui en pleine manœuvre 😮
respect to these guys! one of the most amazing and challenging jobs u can ever do!
I tried this in MSFS 2020. I failed!! Awesome job by the pilots!!!
Jangan di paksa is the best words! Thank u for always flying us to our destination safely capt! 🥰

Ive seen this captain land planes in the worst weather and he is steady as a gimble and cool as the fonz. Awesome work
He just whacks the instrument panel with his fist when the Nav systems blinks out.😂
and he, like his passengers, are suicidal
- "How old are you?"
- "I'm not saying, but I'm cool as the fonz".
- "Gotcha. How are you enjoying your retirement?"
Ehhhhhhhhh👍
Im old, so when i see a young man like this captain land a plane im impressed. He has a very cool demeanor and i appreciate that plus i get to age myself with the fonz
I've been to this airport 🤩 soekarno hatta. From Indonesia to Malaysia 🥳
I don’t want to even drive my car in stormy weather and they’re gonna fly in it 🥴
And carry 300 people haha

That old yellow table lamp plug on the left controls everything. Don't unplug it.
You flew that plane Sir in that weather just as if it a fine sunny day. RESPECT
ok, believe it or not, this is the most popular video relating to aviation in the city that they landed in aka Balikpapan located in Borneo. i just live around the final approach area of runway 25. very glad that not only the western world is noticing us but the pilots we have too.
Yeah lol! I had to double-take that if im hearing it wrong cuz its so rare that Kalimantan island is mentioned in a popular videos
