    What a great review. This man is well worth listening to. Knows his stuff. Plain talk. No agenda. I learned more about these club and shaft offerings from his narrative than I had watching other videos with guys hitting multiple shots. He posted his numbers which backed up what he was saying. He mentioned the shaft he used as well as the other no up charge offerings from Callaway. Thumbs up all the way !!

    Great review Jim, always love your reviews and the new intro with music on the turntable was cool! Not a fan of the thick top line of these irons.. The tech of these are similar to the 2019 Titleist T200's, hollow body with dual Tungsten core and Forged faces... Loved them when i hit them on the sweet spot, soft feeling with great sound. Off center strikes were loud and 'clacky' BUT they were super forgiving.. i only lost a few yards on mishits.. they stayed in my bag for nearly 2 years and just 2 months ago I traded them (6 iron thru 48 deg. wedge) in to 2ndSwing at their DE location and upgraded to 2021 T100s's and kept my T200 4 & 5 iron.

    Jim according to the Callaway website the X 7 iron's loft is 27.5 degrees and the regular paradym 7 iron is at 29 degrees. I was surprised to see your testing at both irons having almost the same distance where others have had anywhere from 7 to 10 yards of difference with the X being longer.

      The X has stronger lofts but the centre of gravity is different so they fly higher with more ball speed, but don't actually go much farther even though the lofts are stronger

    Great review Jim as always very interesting. How do the Paradym X compare with Stealth2 , G430, and Wilson Dynapower. I’m looking at all these irons currently. Play T300 at the moment. Many thanks! Greetings from 🇬🇧

    Great review I’m a big fan of tungsten makes the head stable for me. Currently playing T300 irons which have 70 g tungsten. The Paradym has 67 and as you say thecX has 79. The T 400 I think has 100 g tungsten and the new P 790 about 30 and the DCB I think about 50 g.
    Trying the range from Ping, Callaway, Taylormade at my club and will want to try The new Wilson irons.
    My short list is Paradym, DCB, G430, Stealth 2, P790, all available with fitting days at my club and perhaps Wilson although not as easy to locate and try. I’m a senior (73) handicap 15 so use graphite shafts.

    The landing angle is a problem for me. I like a 45° landing angle. I'm looking forward to the new apex line.

      The paradyms are a bit easier to hit and just a bit shorter. Personally I like the paradyms from a feel and performance point of view

    7 iron is the standard Paradym is 29* not 27* the 7 iron in the Paradym X is 27.5* the spec sheet is on the callaway site unless you checked them and they were off from the factor

      Got me on that one I get a media listing and could have sworn it was 27. When I measured the lofts they were all within .5 degrees

    Loved how they felt. I don’t really want to replace my Miz 921s. My only concern is the spin rate of the seven iron I tested. Will these hold on greens through the bag?

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  Год назад

      not really, much like the newer clubs they actually fly a bit higher so come into the green a bit softer not needing same amount of spin.

    I am debating about changing my shaft for my irom, Mizuno 225 pro, i was wondering what do you think between UST or Steelfiber shaft. my swing slow and playing with stiff shaft. let me know your recomendation , thanks in advance.

    • @stevedietrich8936
      @stevedietrich8936 Год назад

      I can tell you that the UST Recoil shafts play pretty true to flex, meaning a "regular" will play about like you expect. The Steelfibers are notorious for playing stiffer than the flex indicates, meaning a "regular" Steelfiber plays about as stiff, or even stiffer, as another companies "stiff" flex. Steelfibers are really stable and dispersion is generally pretty tight.

    I'm looking at reviews to pick my next set of irons and I hate when they get specs incorrect. You are one of the only guys who are getting no difference between the paradym and the X. You definitely did something wrong
