- Callaway Paradym Irons Review is it their next step forward in iron technology? Well we have an A.I designed face with variable thickness and Full Face Cup for their fastest face to date. Filled with 67grams of Tungsten to try and make it as Forgiving as possible. So I have tested multiple parts of the Face to see just how Forgiving this new iron for Callaway really is.

Tried all the clubs in my local fitters and ended up with these, awesome club!!
Got fitted this past wk with these.
Amazing irons!
Had the Mizuno 223 Pros for a yr, was pleased with them, just couldn’t get enough forgiveness.
Tried 5 other irons, Paradyms were the best for me.
Can’t wait to get them.
I love the look of these , I shall be very tempted one day to get a set
I’ve just brought a set, lovely looking clubs and I have out 20 yards on each iron. Great clubs. I now hit my 7 iron 165 which is decent for a fairly short hitter like myself.
Almost pulled the trigger on these until I saw a pic of a bag full, I just couldn’t get past the look of the back of the club. Went with Mizuno JPX 923 HM Pro. To your point I did a a flier or two with these even at my lower swing speed. Great video as usual Ray. Would love to see you do a comparison of this club and Mizuno HM Pro and Taylor Made P790.
Great review the X range have 79 g of tungsten and the Titleist T300 has 70g and T400 100g. Big fan of tungsten gives great stability.
The battle this year is Callaway Paradym and Taylormade Stealth 2/ in both irons and woods. Although Mizuno, Srixon, Cobra all have great clubs and on price the new Wilson.
Would love to see 225 vs the Paradym and X as well in the mix, regardless of the difference in handicap recommendations. Thanks as usual!
Great review, Jay. I tried these out at a Callaway demo day at my club last week. Really liked them, but not as much as the Mizuno JPX923 hot metal irons. I really like the Nippon nspro shaft that Mizuno offer.
Thank you for the detailed work - so
helpful
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
4 for 4, blimey i might hit the green 1 in 20, give or take a dozen. I asked you about a 7wood the other day, so i grabbed a G400 in great Nic, saved $$$$ rather getting the G430, i don't play well enough to get the new one. as long as it goes higher than my old 3 hybrid, i will be happy.
Favourite so far, very funny 👍😂
Odd how fickle us golfers can be. (or me anyway) I play the Callaway Rogue ST and I love it. Played the Callaway Epic Flash hybrids and thought they were excellent but nothing would get me excited about Callaway irons. 🤷♂️
Shame as they have made some cracking irons over the years. The Apex MB from around 2018 was possibly their best looking iron ever made. In my opinion of course 😊
I’ve been fitted for the x and gained 50 yards with the 7 iron in the sun.
Yo J isn’t it true that the ball will spin a little more hit off of a grass line than off of a mat
Hi Mike, very much depends on the type of grass, the type of mat being used, the pile height etc. To help, TXG or Club Champion as they are now known as, they did a study on this and basically found no difference whatsoever. But from experience it does depend on the surface. 👍🏻
Just as a supplement, I've measured against my custom divot mat and there isn't any spin differences 👍🏻
Irons are about predictability and precision. With almost 20 yards front to back dispersion on poor strikes to best strikes, this just doesn’t give you that. It’s a no from me
In my fitting once I got the right shaft I started showing very predictable distances. Started getting a very nice flat oval circle on the simulator. Despite strong loft, I was getting good height and decent angle over 52 degrees on a 7 iron. For me, was getting very low spin with stock shaft. Switching to KBS tour V shaft was getting much better spin with slightly shorter distance.
thanks Jay could you do a comparison with the TM P790
Do I have to hit that P790 again.... 😊 only kidding it grew on me as I persevered 😊
What kind of distance do you get on a typical six iron when you use your clubs?
178y carry 👍
How do these Compare to Callaway Rogue ST MAX it is replacing.
Its not replacing the ST Max, if its replacing anything, its replacing the Rogue ST Pro
I'm not sure what it is about the cosmetics of these Irons but they really don't float my boat, shame really because they seem to be pretty explosive
Explosive is good word to use 😊
@@AskGolfNut 🚀🚀
It's the blue badging. Makes it look like a box set.
@@lawbinson That's it👍 Thanks, I couldn't understand what it was about them that looked wrong/odd/unappealing, but you are right it's that blue badging that looks like something that you would get in a cheap boxed set👍👍
Definitely the new blue, being some that love and some that definitely don't love it. Callaway have never shied away from making visually striking clubs. I guess only time and sales will determine whether this blue makes a return 😊👍
