this video is really well put together and super informative! i didn't realize how advanced the cloning technology has become, but i can't help but wonder if we should really be bringing extinct animals back. wouldn't it disrupt current ecosystems? just a thought!
My question is why the video felt the need to put the blub about climate change underneath (maybe not everyone can see it.) The blurb says "Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas." This is false and needs to be made more specific because it gives students a lack of perspective. Humans have NOT been "the main driver of climate change," over all of Earth's history. Humans may be impacting the climate change that is occurring now, but all other climate change and extinction events were naturally occurring. Climate change events aren't something novel, and humans have managed to live through them before.
It's sad to see how many ignorant people there still are in the world, who don't realize that we humans are the reason these glorious creatures are gone in the first place. Truly pitiful. 😢

THERE IS NO REASON, FOR YOU NOT TO CLONE A MAMMOTH OR TWO OR THREE OR FOUR, THERE’S PLENTY OF ROOM IN MONTANA, ALASKA, IDAHO, WYOMING FOR MAMMOTH TO ROME.
Let me ask you, do you live in those areas? Would you want to walk out your back door with your morning coffee in hand and find one of those beasts a few feet away eating from your garden? How about you let your dog or cat out in the morning and watch them face something like that? Would you walk your children to the school bus if a huge animal was standing in your driveway? Those creatures belong in history, not in our present times.
@@johnlennon8653 unlike prehistoric Cave lions, wolves, and other men eating animals… mammoths can only help you move a few tree trunks on your property, maybe leave you some ivory for your piano keys. 😂regarding ❤mammoth in. Wyoming going to Rome… I believe you meant ‘roam’.❤
Comet debris wiped out millions of animals and it will happen again at any time and there`s nothing we can do. Imagine 10,000 Tunguska fireballs over a 100 year period.
Evolution has its purpose, to build better then eliminate it when something better comes along. Ancient species had their time and science has to leave it alone, study the past, but don’t recreate it.

I am an engineer, working Road and bridge construction we have dug up Mammoth bones from California all the way through to Montana
So!
lol, but can we clone them, that is the question!
Mammoths are much closer to indian elephants than african elephants, so cloneing would have to be done with indian elephants

If we clone them, can we feed even just one? The grass they ate was extremely tall, covering vast areas. How much grass would one require.

Not true
@robbyb2575 Says who, you?
@@robbyb2575true… we ate them. 🤷🏻♀️
I wanted to see extinct animals back, the world is becoming deserted with animals becoming extinct 😭😭😥😥
Humans should not, clone these animals.
there is nothing wrong about cloning woolly mammoth - it is not the same as cloning dinosaurs.
Siberia is thawing out enough specimens to shame this guy's work.

WELL, QUIT WAITING AROUND AND GET TO IT, THERE IS NO REASON TO SLOW DOWN. TRY IT IF IT DOESN’T WORK TRY IT AGAIN,

Imposible iyan kung maibalik man sila uubusin din nang tao dahil sa kanilang tusk matutulad sila sa rhino, african elephant.
If we can grow them, then that means we can harvest them. Is it right no, can it be done, yes
Smell the hair of the Mormon bible and then you will perceive what men used to be like
We've, they've, whoever, have a Mammoth. They're just waiting for the right time to display them.
1:16 why did the mammoth disappear? We hunted and eat them😂 that’s what humans do
I know 🙏 cohπe

There’s literally millions of years difference between extinct dinosaurs and woolly mammoths. Your comment makes no sense other than extreme ignorance
