All under the age of 16, brothers Jonny, Robbie and Tommy Mizzone are from New Jersey, a US state that's better known for the rock of Bruce Springsteen than the bluegrass of Earl Scruggs. Nonetheless, the siblings began performing bluegrass covers, as well as their own compositions, at a young age. Here, they play three dazzling songs in three different keys, passing the lead back and forth from fiddle to banjo to guitar.

Everybody is complimenting the banjo or fiddle player, but I just want to say it's not easy at all to play the guitar as cleanly as the eldest does. There's a lot of work that goes into making it sound that easy.
And it's not easy drawing your icon profile too 😅
True that I play guitar and it is still hard to even do somethings but that kid made what he did sound so easy.
Kaleb Marshall: Fact is the guitar was very poorly miked by whoever was in control of the soundboard. The kid was doing some pretty impressive flat picking.
As someone who plays guitar, and who is also completely blind, I know exactly what this person is talking about.

This gives me hope that the bluegrass genre will never die out...I absolutely love bluegrass!
You and I both
+D3US BeLli lolwut?
+Mattias Winbladh he said he is a soul killing infection... him and every generation after him.
That makes 3 of us. You, me and ME!!!
MAN!!! I LIKE THIS!!!
Great to see kids putting their energy into music and not violent video games. Keep on pickin brothers.
This is a gift. These kids have been blessed with incredible talent, intuition and musical insight. Well done boys. Parents must be so proud.
No ego. No alcohol or drugs. Just Pure Talent and Love of the Music and of Brothers. What Glorious Sound...WOW!!!!
Alcohol and drugs gives me talent 🎸🎸
Do you know, about this Brothers grupe?
Many of the best musicians had all three. Drugs and alcohol can create great art when in the right hands.
Don’t judge, you don’t know they’re not on drugs AND hammered.

My daddy played with the Stanley Brother's in early 50's after being self taught, couldn't read a note all by ear. Lost him 6 years ago, cried through this so reminded me of him. He primarily was a fiddle player, but could play banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, harmonica.... anything stringed. These young men are amazing!
God bless your father!
Now your dad is with bluegrass greats! And he play again with Stanley Brother's. Thanks for sharing this Memory with us. Love from Italy!
the fact that I’ve been freind’s with these guys for 6 years now and that they released some songs during that time is so cool to me. They aren’t doing this as much anymore due to college and life, but Jonny *the banjo player* made a remix a few months back and it’s pretty cool
🎉🎉🎉😂❤❤
Oh, my! These kids already have done what I want to do. I can't play the fiddle half as well as he. I'm cheering for you brothers from Japan.
カントリーいいよね
I had the pleasure of seeing these young men at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. They blew everyone away--exceptional talents. I have been a fan ever since☺
Usually a family gets one kid with amazing talent. Where did this family get THREE? These guys blow me away.
They have four! Youngest one is learning mandolin :)
Jimmy Cockburn You gotta be kidding. Are we sure they're not just kidnapping 'em from Gifted Students' Programs??
But they need a bassist
Érico Schmitt Uh-oh...last I heard they had a fourth who's learning the mandolin...they're gonna have to keep shooting for that Number Five bassist....get busy, Mom and Dad...
***** Whoa--thanks for the info. I have no doubt the boy is going to be standing right next to his brothers pretty soon. Meanwhile, bring on the girls! I wonder if they're into the same sort of music...
Im from ruusia, and I love that music. Those guys are great!!
Best Ted talk I have ever heard. 😆
They spittin rhymes
Wow!!! So much talent!
They are very talented! I really enjoy their music! Mark.
Nkkmm
That fiddle is fantastic. Excellent bow work.
Agree...He impressed me most.
yeah amazing. But bancho gets always the glory
it is very surprising to hear this kind of music. I really stand up and applaud these geniuses 👏🏻👏🏻 A big hug from Latin America. Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
Took my breath away and brought tears of joy to my eyes! May the good Lord bless you boys in your adventures together!
That fiddle solo during the first song blew my mind!
Well, go and check Jessica willis from the Willis clan 👍 She's an amazing fiddle player 😍
she;s not very good to be honest
+Jane Szalma That's just your opinion !
If If
Love her shes awesome
All three are supremely talented. The kid playing fiddle, though... He's amazing. I believe he's the best musician up there.
@Hicktown Boii yea this is some of the fastest pickin' ive ever seen and hes 10!
I remember the day I met you boys and your Dad at Wind Gap Bluegrass festival when you first were getting started. I still watch for you and have posted some videos from that time period. Very nice, polite and gracious young men as was your Dad.
I like how he incorporates his banjo tuning into the songs. Those things have to constantly be tuned and that's a great way to do it.
That's not actually why he does it. :P
Also, banjos don’t have to be tuned constantly…any halfway decent banjo will hold its tune quite well
He uses Scruggs tuners... meant to be played that way..
That's nit him tuning the banjo. It's just a technique to get a nice slide like sound that you cant get with a fretted banjo.
This is an earl Scruggs song. This is how its played. rip scruggs
The little fella gets all the attention and he's great but the other 2 fellers are great too.
Yeah, I wish I could play half as good as that guitar player.
That's cuz it's pretty hard to play the banjo. And at his age it's quite spectacular.
The other kids are really good as well, I agree. It is a bit of a shame, but damn that kid can pick!
those violin solo are amazing.
It is called a fiddle in Bluegrass!
I play guitar but want to learn banjo and my wife plays violin/fiddle. We were equally blown away by all 3.
This music reminds me of a big fight in a salon or bar.
лучшая драка - под баян!
That is pure God given talent. These kids do not need strobe lights, smoke, lasers, extremely loud speakers like many groups use thatactually hide their lack of talent.
This is pure unadulterated musical talent.
I noticed that all three, when playing solos, their notes are clear and crisp, whether it's the banjo, fiddle, or guitar and playing at a fast speed.
God bless them, their talents, and their parents.
GREAT GOING GUYS!!!!!!
Now THAT is talent; not these practically naked, screamers that are paid millions to appear during the Super Bowl, and do nothing but shout. If they didn't have the laser shows behind them, they would all be huge big flops.
----A million+ likes if I could
God given indeed ❤️
Possibly innate talent too, but hours upon hours of practice, week after week for years, don't forget that!
It would never be sleepy man the group without each of them. They each have a talent and dynamic that they bring and which makes the group complete.
HAHAHAHA they get a standing O and just walk off like a boss.
So much talent and modesty it's kind of amazing.
AGGGH that last song totally blew me away. Banjo dude RULES
Watching from Australia May 2019. The speed and agility with their hands and fingers, their timing, their acutely aware of each other and their parts, so in sync with each other. Talent beyond their ages.
Three extremely talented young men who have clearly put in the hours. Well done you guys!!
Absolutely brilliant playing . Warms the heart to see kids doing this .. ❤️❤️
Yes they are amazing. Talent is everywhere, but it is often overlooked. Let's get cooking.
Joan: Yep. Too busy to be hanging out in their hoodies staring at the phone.
Glad to see. Bluegrass may never die now.
Three of the hardest stringed instruments and they play them all perfectly.
ALL three are great musicians...amazing
Imagine if they actually lived in the south....how do kids from New Jersey learn how to play bluegrass or even get interested in it ?
CRAZY great.
Damn, they're all absolutely amazing, but the fiddle player is possibly the most impressive of all.
Incredible talent! These youngsters make my heart smile and are proof to me that there's hope for humanity yet.
yeah dude same here I could not have said it any better..
hay algo que hace que la música sea más hermosa, ellos mismos con su,pureza,su inocencia y juventud,3 varoncitos a simple vista pero con un par de alitas en su espaldita gracias por venir a alegrar nuestros oídos con su música angelical.
There is indeed hope for the younger generation! I done got sawed off at the knees clean up to the nubs!!
Not really These kids are one of a.kind
Well if you look at these guys now today you’d be pretty disappointed
@@tateharman5448 ...why?
@@tateharman5448 why
@@tateharman5448 why. They are even better. Jerk.
I just adore Bluegrass. Taking nothing away from the fiddle and guitar. Love the way the banjo player screws the strings up and down. Never seen that before. Such talent.
It's crazy how good these young gents are
These guys are awersome . i could listen to them all day long.
All of these young men are extremely talented and did a wonderful job!
OMGOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!! How is that the people in the audience are NOT ON THEIR FEET??? These guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Tremendously talented !! I sure they could see me flat-footin' around the room and clapping for them!!!!!!!
real talent, real music- despite what mainstream society says, when it makes you grin and clap along like this did, you know you've found something rare and authentic
The power of wanting to be as good or better than your siblings is powerful. These kids are awesome.
Those three boys are so talented. Keep it up.👏👍🏽
These young men have more talent than all of the hip hop, rap, pop musicians combined. Well done. young sirs.
i pray the talent never leaves the heart and soul, and life understands this amazing spirit
My favorite music and one was born in Kentucky.
Wow, these young guys are just sensational together. I hope Bluegrass live forever in the talent and showmanship of young people like these.
OH MY! Great talented group of young men! My heart goes to the banjo player, just because I always wanted to learn to play it like my dad. But........my goodness, you have to give the other brothers their due! Bravo to this group!!!!
These brothers are so talented! I'm thrilled to see our American bluegrass genre will never die! God bless em!
Wow! These boys can play and fast!!! Love it.
I never appreciated this kind of music but this kids did an awesome job.
Yeah...Bluegrass music is felt within the soul... like a runaway train :)
These young men make my heart sing with admiration, awe and genuinely amazing talent they possess.👍👏🎉🙂💯💪👞🎻🪕🎸
Good to see these young man playing bluegrass.. the youngest one sounds like his been listing to Raymond Fairchild .. 7 time World Champion... you go buddy..
that fiddle player. holy mackerel
This was a long time ago. I know. But you think the fiddle playing is good you need to hear him sing sooo awesome. I would never want to have to choose between those boys talents. SIMPLY GOD Given Talents.
@@tomwarrick9878 he's amazing. greeting from bali island
Boy sure can play that fiddle!
the younger kid is given too much credit, that fiddle playing is amazing
You three are so talented! All I could do is gasp in awe
Still love this every time. Could watch over and over again!
this is good parenting at its best love these boys and shout out to their parents for being there.
no disrespect but how do you know it was the parenting
I love me some Bluegrass :) Very similar to our traditional music in Ireland in a lot of ways.
Actually, that IS the origin of Bluegrass "Ireland". Many of the Appalachia , Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia are Irish Immigrants.
87Wayne legal fera
It IS IRISH (celtic), and Scot from the Appalachia's. But, these boys are Italian, kinda of odd that they appreciate Irish/Scot music as much as they do.
Zed Dez Bluesgrass itself is American, so it's not a surprise they play it. But it originated from Ireland. Just as rock was inspired by country, jazz and a mix of other tunes.
Zed Dez They are American of Italian lineage. All of us (except the original Americans) are of some lineage. That has nothing to do with their God given talent.
These kids are awesome! So great to see kids this age who are into actual music, with actual instruments!
The best I've ever listen to and I've been around bluegrass most of my life ! These kids all have a gift a very special and meaningful gift that I hope they always remember to use that gift for good and always remember to give God thanks for his blessing! God bless all good men and may WE change the hearts of all others
Amazingly skillful and accomplished, brilliantly talented a polished performance by three very young virtuoso's!! Bravo!!!!
I am a Brit, so what do I know?
I know what I like!!
These kid's are amazing!!
little Johnny is the next Scruggs. In my opinion he is already better than alot of the legends. Im not referring to this video. This is pretty old. But if you see him in any recent stuff you will see what I mean. Sometimes I dont think he even realizes how great he is. I know he has put in the work but this boy is a NATURAL!
David Merrell of
You are so right, grew up with this kind of music my whole life! Love it!

Best TED speech I've seen in quite a while.
GREAT TALENT FOR ALL 3
This is what happens when the TV is broken and there's no video games
+onelonleyfarmer This is what happens when dad has an agenda for his boys.
+bobojr456 Yeah man, not like kids can ever be interested in anything of their own volition.
+onelonleyfarmer Yes. I agree.
There were 3 families, 5 adults and us kids, living in the one house during the war. All those adults played an instrument, & all sang. This is what we did on a Fri-Sat night. Yes indeed, no TV & no video games in 1943.
GREAT comment.
They all are special.
Bluegrass just comes out of you when you feel it :)
What a fantastic expression of great music, I never get tired of it.
Love them..thay are ridiculous talent..completely fascinated.
Again talent in pure form
What can I say? I am gobsmacked, you guys are truly amazing!!!!!!

Also, the first song is called Rockwood Deer Chase, for those who asked
The BottomLine written by my great uncle don stover
Thank u shieldy boiii
RUclips is an interesting creature as I was watching bricklaying initially then traveled through speaking punjabi and Arabic only to find this masterpiece..I am absolutely blown away by the mastery of 3 different instruments of brothers all under the age of 18 ..mind-boggling and the coolest thing I may have ever seen lol
Hard not to smile while watching this
Best thing out of TED to date.
Ah, apparently I watched this...
Tremendously dedicated and excellent musicians. Bravo!
I hope their own music makes them always as happy as it made me listening to them. Great guys.
Those guys are older now , just got to like those brothers , they just attacked that stage . I'm always going to re play to myself , just loved it.
