Great way to test an instrument. Not many use classical to demonstrate what the piano can do. Please do the same for other models that come out. Well done - and nicely played!
I think this is proof that a good quality digital piano is a good substitute for an acoustic. I have a Kawai ES100 and is by far the best digital I have owned, my previous was a Roland RD700NX, the key action is far superior on the Kawai
+Chris Walden wow Chris, are you sure? i have an RD700NX as well, and i am shopping for something else because it's just too heavy to travel with. of course the action is not that of an accustic, but i thought that its cation was best on the market (for a stage digital) back in 2012. anyway, from what i understand, the realistic key action mechanism is the reason that it is so heavy. but the kawai es 100 weighs two times less, and has plastic keys..., it also costs a lot less..., so i am wondering how the action of this kawai could be better than rolands flagship (well, almost flagship) stage piano? if you are right, i think roland is going out of business soon.
@@vdvoskin1 i have Roland RD 800. I just bought the Kawai mp7. And the kawai is superior on any aspect!. The roland nice but not authentic in sound and feel as the kawai! I played on the store on the kawai es110. And its amazing lightweight instrument. This is my opinion on e.piano quality. Kawai > Yamaha > Roland > Nord > Korg > Casio. Kawai and Yamaha superior sound because they manufacture acoustic pianos And sampling (kawai, yamaha, nord, casio, korg) is superior to modeling (roland) as i found out.
It is perfect!! :) I like Kawai a lot and I appreciate products like this only one should realize, that it is just electronic musical instrument so who knows how long this electronics components inside could survive! I expect no more than 10 year. What a pitty. But she can play excellent, no doubt about it!:)
I returned my Kawai ES7 due to key noise problems, they could not fix. Now I got a Yamaha P255, much better.and no key problems at all for several months now.I am happy with Yamaha..
Yamaha P255 is amazing I bought it a few weeks ago and it is the best keyboard I have ever had. I was going to get this Kawai but it was not in stock so I got the Yamaha P 255 on sale and with coupon for 965 plus tax.
The instrument was developed for the Asian market. Small apartment rooms- often without much soundproofing between apartments- the speakers were chosen for good fidelity at a lower volume of sound.
+Getsuga Tenshou Slight downside but does have MIDI and you can record the pure sound with the headphone out. Just need a USB audio interface. Means a bit more cash but you can also record other instruments too. As a guitarist and bass player it suits me fine, but it does seem a bit of an oversight. Perhaps they want to future proof it though. MIDI is so versatile, has been around for decades and will likely remain so, while USB may have a replacement on the near horizon.
Does your ES100 seem to struggle with sound clarity even at around 65% volume? I can hear the distortion at both the highs and lows. Just curious to know if this is normal? Thanks.

thanks for the video! super!
i am fully agree with Tony Walsh about the classical examples.

Kawai thought sound quality and key action was more important!

When Chopin sounds this natural on a digital piano, it deserves a good look. Do a video playing Brahms for ultimate test though!
Thank you so much for this review. It is the BEST Kawai ES100 review EVER!!!
Excellent!
beautiful person and beautiful player.
Excellent playing!!! All beautiful songs.. Loved it
Hi very good samples, but It would be great if you could post all the titles of the pieces, please. Thanks from Italy.
The best demo for Kawai ES100, very nice and pleasant sound, beautiful player too

Nice played miss, horosho ...
It sounds beautiful, so are you
Keep it in your pants Kevin, I agree though, no homo.
Can a student practice and learn at the performer level using just the ES100 slab piano?

Good for you..My Yamaha P255 still as new.super keys.
What's the name of the piece 1:00 ? she always play it at the most of her videos, please
Such grace
I bought the es100 when it went $100 cheaper to $699. You can't beat it for that price
the es100 has been good but I'm thinking between the Roland Sv-1 88 key Kawai es-8 and the Roland RD-800 now in 2018
Why do they have to be so expensive darnit!!!
piece at 0:36 -> Haydn sonata 53 in E minor
very very good!!!!!
Whats the setting of recording this particular keyboard? I really like the keyboard, but struggle on recording it.... many thanks!!!
can someone tell me the name of the song she played at 1:00 ?
girl are you an angel??? playing amazing, it is difficult to see your fingers
Perfect
J'aime beaucoup le tuto de ce piano . Il y'a une musique que j'aime beaucoup qui est la deuxième. Je voulais savoir comment elle s'appelle ?
super; super; super;
the real volume of es100 was smaller than that in this video when I visited a store and played it..
Her keyboard is probably connected to the speakers you see next to her

Starts to be close to an acoustic...
Can you please tell me the name of the first piece played here?? All I know is that Chopin composed it.
I'm know I'm years too late, but it's his etude op. 25 no. 2
@@NoahJohnson1810 Vaya que si son muchos años después xd

Could anyone please tell me a name of the last song?
How much the price?
I bought this piano, it sounds great! can someone tell me the name of the song she played at :36
It's a section of the first movement of Sonata in e minor Hob.XVI:34 by Joseph Haydn
aprettz Thank you!
This Kawai would be ideal if not for lack of USB port.

Midi begins to be outdated, you know? 0-127 as a limit for ever?
Find on RUclips "Kawai RX2 Grand Piano" and do an A/B comparation ... ;)
What's the name of the song at 1.00?
Can you tell me please the name of the song at 1min45 ???? Thank you !
+321bigbang It's Chopin Nocturne 19 in E minor :-)
Hello! May I ask how could you record it? What do you use? Because it doesn't have USB connection.
You use the headphone output I think for that
It has a midi in/out. Send the signal to a digital interface. You can connect that to your computer.

+Joshua Domfeh Chopin Etude in f minor, Op.25

alexie siancas in fact Chopin Nocturne Op. 72, No. 1 in E minor BUT not the best performance out there, too robotic and lacking of feeling
Ale plastikowe brzmienie. Bleee ...
