In his prime there was nobody better. This guy never let the team, city or fans down when we needed him most in October. The freak will always be my favorite athlete, but most importantly he'll be forever Giant! #retirenumber55
Tim Lincecum has given me such wonderful memories! I made sure to get tickets for every game he pitched. I practically lived at the Park. I had all his jerseys and shirts. I had a chance to meet him at a bar and he was so friendly and down to earth. I can’t believe it’s been so long since he first played for the Giants. It was really sad to hear about his brother’s passing and then his wife’s. I hope Tim is doing well. He gave so much to San Francisco. He will always be my favorite athlete!
I started playing baseball in '07 at age 12 and started actively watching MLB in '08 when I finally understood the game. The three guys that inspired me and helped model my game was Tim Lincecum(pitching), Yadier Molina(catching) and Dustin Pedroia(Infield). I miss watching Lincecum pitch and wish he could make a comeback. He is still only in his mid 30s. Sign him Giants...
Lincecum one of my all time fav Giants, he was spectacular to watch in his prime. Hope they honor him someday at Pac Bell or ATT, whatever they call it these days..
It’s funny because Everyone is making a huge deal on that day about him winning a CY YOUNG (rightfully so) but Tim acts very humble and nonchalant about the whole thing, and almost a little overwhelmed with the amount of attention he was receiving that day. I love the guy, I miss him pitching but I’m thankful I got to see him play at all! GO GIANTS!
That's mad funny. Yeah you could see him visibly get tired talking to all these people, otp, on the cameras. It honestly looks exhausting. That's probably why he has chosen to stay lowkey post retirement.
as a habitually skinny stoner timmy was my idol in high school. To this day my favorite athlete of all time - one of those dudes like steph who you just expected to be wowed by every time they took the field. My favorite number is still 55 because of this guy. my condolences to him for his wife's unfortunate early passing. From what I heard from people in the Burlingame school system she was an incredible influence on the children there - what gave me even more respect for her though was hearing you would never know who her husband was by talking to her because she was so grounded and humble. I can't imagine how much Timmy must be hurting. I know even before this he didn't like the attention and wanted to keep a private life (I have a friend who works at the SFSPCA animal shelter who told me tim and his wife came in to volunteer fairly frequently on the condition the shelter didn't make a big deal about it/tell any press) so I can only imagine he's even more introverted at the moment. Wishing him the best, and I hope that at some point in the future he feels comfortable enough to be a regular part of the Giants organization because I know they would have a place for him and the fans miss him. The Freak will always be a huge part of my childhood and a huge reason I fell in love with the game of baseball. Just hope he knows what he meant to this fanbase.
I never got to see play live, but enjoyed seeing him on TV.He deserved getting the award.I Hope he is doing well, and as all ways be a Giants. Go Giants.⚾🌏✌
I went to college in Fresno where the Giants Triple-A was at the time he was making his first start and Triple-A and I happened to be at the game and once he threw his first change up I said this guy is going to be great. The next year he was the CY young. The movement on that pitch in person is ridiculous.
We all mid tim!!! Wish they put him in the HOF he made a Impact while he was playing! And made it less hard for us When we lost Barry bonds when Tim joined the Giants!!!
Hi sorry for my bad message just feel sad cause he is not anywhere to be found now he has been hiding I MISS TIM Lincecum surely I am not alone in these feelings I feel

Why is he not on the Giants wall of fame? 😭
@@morcatna4767 Barry barely made it to the wall… you have to be the Elite of the Elite
A symbol of SF Giants baseball. A true champion, warrior, and an even greater guy.
I really miss Tim🥺 I hope to see him on the field again

Watching Timmy pitch got me through manny hard times in my life. Wish he still played.

Wished guys like Jason Schmidt Matt Cain and Madison Bumgarner would've won a NL Cy Young Award as well
Schmidt was a stud in his prime absolutely
We knew that windup was dangerous but darn I miss him
Then he did it in 2009
Mexican pitcher Valenzuela on the same year won CY Young and rookie of the Year
Hello
16:08 he pregamed alright
Put him on the wall of fame and retire his jersey!!
Giants never won a WS with Bonds there,so glad the Giants won those 3 rings when he retired.
