sukriya syed wajid vai itna bahut khub post dal ne ke liye. agar meherbani karke aisa kuch khas Ramesh Misra ji k sarangi music post kare to ahesanbandh rahunga.
I wonder why this musical instrument is becoming obsolete during vocal music concerts.why the singers no longer prefer sarengi as obvious accompanyment.
Because there are very few Sarangi players of a very good standard, mainly due to the difficulty of playing the instrument. It's much easier for concert organisers to find competent harmonium players than Sarangi players. In the UK (where I live) this problem is huge, there is literally NO ONE of a decent level of musicianship who plays sarangi, very sorry to say.
I'm only coming to awareness of this instrument now. I've been studying violin for a few years and someone suggested I listen to sarangi. Wow!!! In the south the violin accompanies the voice. The bowed instruments are really special in that service...but sarangi has that added element of the skin soundboard. Like banjo or sarod, the skin vibrates a different way than the gourd or like wood. All beautiful, but different.
मेरे आंखों से स्वतः आंसू निकलने लगते है जब पंडित जी की सारंगी सुनता हूं😢😢😢

TheSingingTabla yeah, its true from many perspectives.

its not the skin soundboard as much as the sympathetic resonator strings providing built-in reverb
Is this commercially available?
I am not sure about it.
No doubts latif ji is a great sarangi player.
