Dude it's so insane. I'm quarantined home with a corona infection and just wanted to beef up my DaVinci skills for a bit instead of doing nothing. Now i'm completely stuck on your videos for 3 days straight. Can't wait for your premium animate template versions you told me a view videos ago.
You, Dunna Did It and Joris Hermans tought me than a vocational training ever could the last three days. Thanks a lot man. I can't even tell you how thankful i am. I will buy your premium templates, even if i wouldn't need them.
Add Casey Faris to your list, you'll thank me later!
There's never a time I come here I don't learn one heck-of-a lot; thanks so much for the great work, Alex.
Dude!! over the past couple of years of watching your AMAZING videos i have learned a TON thank you for helping us poor videographers trying to up our game!!! you have exceeded beyond your expectations i would think!!
Thanks for all the cool new stuff to try out. For me this program is like a 7 day cruise I took one year with Royal Caribbean on a Hugh ship Oasis class. I spent the whole week revisting the fun area that I found. It wasnt until my last night that I found a hidden gem of a restaurant (that is free also). I said oh I wish I had seen this earlier in the cruise and the server said well why didnt you know about us? It is very easy to get to know and like a few features to get comfortable with them. Like the ship they dont really push all the things that you can do. I appreciate you taking the time to show us all the other fun stuff to try out.
The paper edge effect is so helpful because prior to this if I wanted to use a mask the color border as as you showed it ignores it.
But now there's finally a way to put a border around a masked item.
Thanks for sharing awesome tips as always and even though I'm familiar with half of these tools I always learn something new to do with them from your videos.
The watermark feature looks awesome but can you limited it to only show one image instead of an entire row of images?
Could use zoom and make it only take up that much space.
Love open fx crop, super useful for those times when you want to quickly reuse crops. Then again i've now mostly moved on to use fusion adjustment layers for reusing crops, but still so helpful.
I recon that hungry caterpillar has been eating your doughnuts!
Haha I think so! Pesky caterpillars
You rock man! Great stuff as always! 😁👍
So simple & easy to use. I wasn’t aware of most of these tips. Thankyou🙏🤗👍🥰
BG with watermark + Nosie Distortion is COOL🔥 man !!
thx 😊
Anybody try to go back a tad and try using his DiVinci screen to do so? Just me, Ha!
This guy is so talented, it's quite perplexing!
I aim to Perplex! 😄 Many thanks :)
Great tips, thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for this. I've really struggled with creating simple borders around insets. The Colored Border effect is basically useless, so I'm very happy to see it can be done within the Paper Edge effect. Worth watching just for that, but the other effects are very cool too.
Another really helpful video, Alex. Thank you!
Great tips, thanks a lot!!!
Great stuff - again. Many thanks for all your hard work.
I'm only half through the video and have already learned a ton a new things I need! Thank you!
Awesome tips! Thanks for making and sharing!
Great tips :) I'd love to see more about effects on edit page, they have so much to offer when you play around with the settings.
As always - so very helpful - thanks for all of those tips Alex 👍👍
I love it...thanks Alex!
As always Alex, showing stuff i didn't know I needed but will help out while editing :) Great job!

Great video, as always. Thank you!
That Transform effect is what i need! thanks for the information
Thank you for the awesome video!
That paper edge effect works so well when making text bolder and the drop shadow is just a bonus. This makes my movie trailer reconstruction work just a little bit easier, very timely video. Thanks Alex and keep 'em coming.
OMG, this fixed my frustration with the border tool. Thank you!
Good one Alex, thanks
Thank you again Alex
I was making frames for videos couple of hours ago, and the paper edge would’ve saved me like 20 minutes. Thanks for the helpful tips!
Great tips! I had zero idea these existed!
Good stuff- thank you!
This was a collection of treasure! Thank you .
Really useful information. I’ll probably used only the Transform tool and the Paper Edge but they will both be very useful.
Best Tipps ever - Thank you ❤
Did not know about the generator versions - super cool!
11:36 this has to be the single best feature for me. I love adding stroke or outer glow to things in my thumbnails, or images/videos shown in smaller frames on the screen while I'm commentating over them. Actually perfect!
Great video mate
Awesome tips to speed up my workflow.
VERY USEFUL VIDEO, THANK YOU!

Insane - I didnt noticed the versions of this fusion generators
Ha ikr! They're easy to miss!!
@@MrAlexTech oh yes - thanks for this video bro !
I can't believe that paper edge is so simple... I had no idea it was there and was looking for just this very effect earlier today. You're amazing!
TOP SHELF AS USUAL!!!
Have you noticed some bugs in the latest resolve 18.6? For example when I cut and delete clips from my timeline, sometimes the audio and video goes out of sync. But when I close the application and start again, automatically the audio and video are back in sync. I've never encountered this error before. Seems like 18.6 is buggy
I actually haven't! I know that's a common issue many people are having but mine has been smooth sailing!
Just had to uninstall and go back to 18.5 today. I had the audio desync as well and some pretty substantial performance drops when trimming start and end segments. Other people on the BMD forums are having the same issues, so i'm hopefully it will be resolved soon.
@Veedotme I also uninstalled Davinci Resolve 18.6 and reverted back to 18.5 Too many bugs and performance issue
Really nice new features. Thanks, Alex! …Rowby.
That’s surprisingly useful
Boom! Validation ha! Glad you enjoyed it.
