This man starred in multiple martial arts film back in the 80s and was the young student in Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. A real Legend working on this game.
These asian studios are STILL innovating the action genre and it's great to see. The most recent trailer for Phantom Blade Zero also shows improvement of 3rd-person action games as well
It's ironic. Becuase even though American game devs are making the graphics look better then Asian studios. They end up making the whole game uglier with the art direction (And making the characters as unattractive as possible cough* cough*).

I truly hope all these new AAA games from China find success because you can see how much passion and culturally unique style/art direction they imbue in them. There's just so much untapped potential from studios we don't normally get AAA games from like China and Korea (up tiil now they've mostly released F2P or mobile games). If this, Wukong, The Perceiver, Phantom Blade 0, and Stellar Blade are anything to go by, there's so much to look forward to as a global audience
With the success of Korean games like Lies of P and Stellar Blade (both have been confirmed to get DLC and a sequel for each title and both have sold well over one million copies), Chinese games such as Black Myth: Wukong, Phantom Blade Zero, and (hopefully it gets release this year) Lost Soul Aside will definitely match the success the said Korean games I've mentioned. Black Myth: Wukong is the number one wishlist game on Steam, and with the amount of attention it gets, it will be a financial success on Day 1. 8D

You're not far off the mark! Phantom Blade Zero has Kenji Tanigaki, who been Donnie Yen's protegee since the late 90s, and Donnie Yen learned from Yuen Woo Ping.
As a Chinese myself I’m never really interested in the Chinese mythology fantasy depictions in terms of movies and TV Shows except for the sunwukong ones. But for video games? Sign me up
