I would call that the best Chaplin movie I have seen, but I still enjoy Buster Keaton much more. Amazing how the silent films can still speak to us. Some of us anyway. I wish there was more Roscoe Arbuckle that survived. He mentored both Keaton and Chaplin. Don't miss him, silent film fans.

He was beset with lots of personal problems and production delays during filming of this movie. The critics of his time too were not patronizing but yet we audience need to agree that Chaplin's worst movie were better than the lots that were released during that period.
