I guess that depends on what you think makes it look good. I mean, it's just measured off with a ruler, marked off and embedded with a ball-point pen, then painted.
Although the chase stuff is the most competitive, I find that I have the most fun with friendly games and using the minis that are often over looked as choices. I don't play Heroclix, but I do plan on collecting them at some point. I'm more of a WHFB type of guy lol.
4:58 "well, yeah clearly this guy has been doing this forever so he is not going to have any trouble" *looks at pics of table terrain ok, don't worry. no one is thinking that.
I don't remember those specifically, but the foal is really easy to work with so there's any number of ways you could do it. Heavy grit sandpaper is one of the easiest because it will easily eat up the foam but still give you a lot of control.
You know, you don't really need the chase figures to have a good time with HeroClix. Some of my best games so far have been with the Halo minis - none of which are particularly powerful (at least, none of the ones that I have).
Hey Jay.....You have just re-inspired me / re -motivated me to get going on my own terrain projects. Great job by the way.
This is awesome. You are a true artist.
That's fantastic. Honestly, I can't think of a better compliment. You've made my day.

how did you go about making the grid look so good? i'm making a 3d map and would like to try your method! thanks
Your comment made me laugh. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's because there's so many ways I could take it.
Which Home Depot had the cheaper stuff? Hadley or Greenfield?
How much do u think the entire project cost to make

Hey Jay, I'm thinking about replicating your first map; how did you manage to get those craters in the foam?
