    Congrats Kei 🎂. Nishikori had (not the same as before due to injuries) impeccable timing on the ball and uses his talent to take his shots early and force his opponents immediately on to the back foot. This is how he is able to dominate players who are significantly taller than him and often get them covering more ground than he does. His return of serve is one of the best in the business and his movement is second to none. His style of play is perfectly suited to hard courts.

    • @baloproductions
      @baloproductions 3 года назад +8

      @Shawn okay that's perfectly fine and all, but i wasn't talking about that. I was talking about the fact that you act like you are better than other people in this comment section, saying you have "a higher level of understanding of the game and the world" is pretty arrogant and a little cringeworthy, you follow that up "for me it is better to think of them as children than etc etc." it comes off as you seeing yourself as above the rest of us. And you have to admit it's a little dramatic for a comment on a youtube video about tennis.

    • @baloproductions
      @baloproductions 3 года назад +5

      @Shawn i have interacted a LOT with this community and i agree, much of it is childish, i simply thought the way in which you put yourself above everyone else was unecessary and frankly a bit over the top and dramatic.

    I hope his career won't end without a Master's title. He really should of won Madrid 2014, where he really pushed Rafa on the ropes. His career might have turned out a bit differently had he won it. He went on to reach the finals of the U.S. in the same year beating Novak in the semis, so don't know how much the retirement would of affected his life.
    He has sustained so many injuries throughout his career and considering his age (32), I don't see him getting back to where he used to be, but I still believe he has enough left to win a couple of more 250, if not 500 or 1000, titles. Can't wait for him to return to competition!

    He could be a much bigger threat to big 3 during 2014-2017 if he was just a couple of inches taller.. such impeccable timing and hand-eye coordination he has.. just needed to have a bigger serve, better reach on the ball and fitness.

    • @commondirtbagz7130

      @davidl.6280 3 года назад +1

      Like what Common Dirtbagz said, height doesn’t really matter with his match ups against them. Serve yes, but fitness is what burned him out. His footwork and timing makes up for his lack of reach. If he had Dimitrov’s fitness, he would’ve won 1 or more Masters and maybe a GS.

      Not just that ,his talent isn’t that high anyway. There are plenty of players that are more talented than him ,Nalbandian,Monfils,Fognini , and Kyrgios for example. What really matter is actually attitude , Kei is def one of the most hard-working
      player on tour.If those players which I mention above show half the commitment he got ,they will already be multi Gs champion .
      I always think Kei is a down graded version of Davydenko, around the same height , similar play style,very gritty .Davy got better endurance and persistence imo,he is just unlucky that prime Fed blocked all his all to success except the WTF 2009 ,also he is pretty injury free until 2010 ,that final injury cause his career.
      Del Potro is the guy who was ripped off with all success cause of injury,mainly because of his height and weight,putting too much pressure in any movement. Remember 2009?Where Federer was still in his late prime and Rafa in full ,he was able to beat them both before Novak or Murray does it .He was also an all -rounded player who can play on every surface (USO champ ,reach Semi of both Wimbledon and RG),he can challenge the big three in any given day if he is healthy ,countless 5-setters against them. He is more lethal than Murray ,more stable than Wawrinka,the big 4 will probably be him not Murray if he didn’t have a glass body.

    So sad, as it was all for nothing as far as bigger on court achievements are concerned for Kei.
    He came so so close once to topple down Rafa at his home in one of the biggest Tournaments, i.e., Madrid Final. But ended up loosing it because of sudden on court injuries/fatigue.
    He had ousted Nole at US Open Semi only to lose to Cilic in the biggest tournament/final of his career.
    He had caused all sorts of troubles even to GOAT like Federer & had a good head-to-head against him when they begun their rivalries.
    How destiny can be so tough & cruel to someone may be seen by having a look at Kei Nishikori's career so far.
    Pity for him...😑
