well it is completely the same riff after he clicks on the distortion pedal. before, it is actually very similar, only he is truly changing to some kind of E shape from the F#, not just taking the top finger off. there are the high pitched behind the bridge notes even, just done by the synth like sounding notes, that kind of sound like the original behind the bridge melody. Stop defending it. it is too obvious and he is married.

I went to Highschool with the guy, was an aquitance through a best friend of mine, would visit all the time. I can honestly say that though i’m not a big fan of his band, he is an excellent guitar player. I heard him more often than not playing Jimi Hendrix among other leads from the 60s. The guy also wore sweaters and long hair long before he met Frances, never any particular affinity for Kurt Cobain or Nirvana from what I recall. I don’t know what the particulars are with the guitar but I can say that he was always a genuinely nice guy to me and I try and judge people how they treat my person, not what I hear others say about them, least of all from these revolving door chat rooms. I can also see how a cliche remark gets spun around and around until no one will believe in anything else, propaganda anyone? Don’t hate so much everyone, don’t judge people unless you know them personally and above all, think for yourself.

Imagine taking a guitar from someone and that guitar belonged to the person's parent who had committed suicide, they ask for it back and you then refuse, it's inhumane.
