He took the guitar but that was probably his only leverage. Obviously he can write songs and obviously he can play and knows about recording music, playing live. He needed to be put to work. Maybe that was impossible when his wife was sneaking drugs.
That is a terrible criticism. They make good music. The Rambles were making country rock and everyone was bashing them for not being loud. It's definitely a unique sound.

I get that the band is trying to nick Noel's creative and clever process of using other songs as inspiration, but he owned. All musicians do it, but it is too obvious, fellas. I admit to liking a couple songs, but they were Kurt rip offs so I drifted away. Now ssing this video, I know it is not for me. Keep trying and give Frances back her guitar.
I think they need less production, the vocals should be levelish with the guitar, being the loudest instrument in order to achieve the sound I think they are struggling to get. Many times mistakes are golden and should be left in the music. this is still just my opinion, but I feel those mistakes including occasional wrong notes, noticeable vocal pain, breath noise left in the at just the right times can add to the idea that your listening to humans in all their frailty instead of record label polish and gleam.
