- Hailing from Los Angeles, alt-rockers The Eeries performed their hit single “Love You To Pieces” live at JBTV studios. When guitarist and singer, Isaiah Silva’s band The Rambles dissolved, he wanted a new songwriting outlet so he began to work on some new material. After showing his new material to his friends, they decided to join him to create The Eeries which now included guitarist Brandon Sweeney, drummer Nadir Maraschin, and bassist Eliot Lorango. The band received their first big break when the band’s first single “Cool Kid” was added to the rotation at the legendary KROQ radio station in Los Angeles which led to their signing with Interscope Records.

I'd love to give some pointers on the vocals... you're not supposed to sing like you're trying to enjoy yourself and enjoy the spotlight (you're not paul mccartney). You're supposed to be pissed off and have anxiety, stress, quietly struggling to let out words... then strain your voice as loud and destructive to your voice box as you can for the chorus... It's actually so simple it's astounding people can't get this right. Yet if you look through the annals of post-punk you can find plenty of gems. Just go through bands Kurt loved like Flipper (which is called anti-hardcore punk) other band similar NO TREND.... someone that gets highly overlooked among the Nirvana fans is Jesus and Mary Chain. They were Nirvana before Nirvana which means they took Velvet Underground's format and shot up heroin in it's veins. Literally.... I find it incredibly annoying none of these mainstream mundane fuckwads can't seem to connect these dots.
