Years ago I was serving a table in a cafe & had some cheeky banter going with one of the guys on the table, he playfully slapped me because of some quip I said & a woman at the table said "Hey! That's assault" both of us stopped laughing & I felt confused, was I so used to abuse that I didn't realise when I was being assaulted? I felt shame too, should I have reacted to this? Looking back she was absolutely wrong to call that out as assault, it absolutely was not that.
I don't really understand what it is in some people that want to call everything out as wrong, perhaps some warped kind of ego, the need to be right, or just being completely immersed in victimhood. I don't know. There is real abuse, but there are also people calling out things that are not that at all.
I'm 65 and learned from my Dad and Uncle to be a man. I learned how to defend my sisters and then my family. I open the doors for most everyone. I guess it's a strength and respect for others
Good podcast, this has become a serious issue shaming men and masculinity in young men. It’s also in girls preaching to them they don’t need men, they don’t need to marry or have children. If people don’t start to speak up and fight against these false teachings, we are in some serious trouble.
The Me Too movement didn't help either.
Young men have a safe space in crypto. We call them chads. They are known for breaking the bank or, contrary to that, eating ramen every night. In any regards they're the most respected species on earth ❤
