That looks delicious. I've heard about other people talk about New Year's traditions but I don't remember us having any growing up. Thanks for sharing yours though.
My husband and I loved this, as I was raised in AL, and he was raised in OH. We ate greens along with our black-eyed peas. His nickname is also Uncle Cocoa. Lol! Thanks 4 recipe!
Mrs. Katie, tall get ready to settle down somewhere, theres alot of land for sale here, would love to have you close girl ! Your place looks so warm and cozy, the food looks wonderful, the stories are wonderful too, Love ya'll ! Xoxo
We love pork and sauerkraut, but haven’t tried it with the brown sugar and apples. Making it today! Smells wonderful! Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year!
This looks really good. Will have to add it to my “must try” list. Were you at Westhills when Pierce made the porkchop, kraut, and potato dish for all of us? I don’t remember the occasion but we ate in the library. I thought the combination sounds awful, but it was absolutely delicious. I’ve never forgotten and have never had it since, but have remembered it still some 20 + years later. This dish brought it back to my mind today. Happy New Year to you and the family. I hope 2019 brings you all many more new adventures. Thanks for taking us along for them!!
Love this combination of pork, sauerkraut, garlic and apples! You might check your instruction manual for the oven. It might have a method of temperature adjustment. What wonderful memories!
thanks for watching, Amber, you are so sweet. I think you would enjoy the memories I share on the three videos in this playlist. ❤️ ruclips.net/p/PLWtTIIsjgPo2FDDbP-V1sWWS4ievdIm5s&disable_polymer=true
Oh my, thank-you for the kindness. ❤️ We would love it if you'd share videos with your friends who might enjoy walking life with us as well. Have a great night! It is raining here and I have spent the whole day editing more videos! ❤️
Love the recipe. We just bought a new gas oven. We had to calibrate it right off the bat because the oven was 40+ degrees cooler than set. Soooo frustrating and this morning I tried to broil marinaded chicken breast...... no luck. Now I have to figure out the broiler temp!! I love the heritage you have shared with us. Happy New Year to your entire family!!
Good grief, isn't that so frustrating? One would expect the oven to work properly as soon as purchased. Well, let's hope we both figure our temps out. lol ❤️ Happy New Year!
Im biregional also. My father is German, from Ohio. mom was Southern Irish from TN
