Thank you for starting this RUclips channel. Even if we all don't have the same conditions it's great to have other people that you can learn things from and bounce things off of. Looking forward to viewing all the rest of your videos
Thank you, Nancy! I appreciate you listening about my condition. I am sure even though our conditions are different, some pain and functional conditions are similar.
Good to hear from you again, Bonita. I resonate with almost everything you said. I've had the same vision issues since the start. I recently had an eye test, got my new specs, and immediately they were blurry 😅. Sad you weren't offered amytriptaline sooner, glad it's helping. For me, Pregablin (Lyrica) and duloxetine seem to help most for sleeping, and a little for the constant burning and stinging in my legs. I worked for two years or so post injection, it was tremendously hard because of the nerve pain, severe headaches and inability to think properly. When I finally stopped working, like you, it made the most positive impact of all, life immediately became easier (leaving aside the stress of applying and fighting for disability). I wish you a very relaxing and happy retirement, you have the best attitude so I've no doubt you'll make the most of it!
Thank you for your thoughtful, encouraging comments! Lyrica made my brain crazy. I asked my husband to drive me to England after two days.....and I still hurt.
I fell down a stair case about five years ago. An xray showed a chip in my spine. Now I am having stinging pain in the same area, so I Googled it and the results led me to arachnoiditis. I am scared now. Thank you for your videos that give some insight into this condition!
I have similar issues with my eyes Bonita along with chronic severe dry eyes. AA dxd May 2023 per MRI interpretation. I didn't even know there was a diagnosis of adhesive arachnoiditis before then. All I know is that I went for the MRI because of severe lower back pain with electrical impulses that were keeping me awake nearly every single night (and still are). I follow Dr Tennant and Dr Ibsen. I have so many questions for them. As a retired nurse I have to wonder if the adhesive tissue has ever been studied under a microscope to determine its makeup. I have to wonder if anybody has donated their bodies for autopsy to study the adhesions. I have to wonder if there is a lysing agent that could be introduced into the adhesive sites to break apart the adhesions without damaging the nerves. I have to wonder if there is actual visual evidence per MRI of adhesions breaking apart from the use of colostrum and other supplements they promote. It seems to me highly unlikely that these adhesions will break apart with the use of any of these supplements, though I continue to take colostrum daily. I guess I'm just thinking out loud. Best, Brian
It was explained to me that nerves are like wet spaghetti that clumps. Once they clump, there is no unsticking them. There are so many frustrating symptoms from this and vision is a scary one.
oh my God, yes!! I had to quit my job because of vision issues! If I could see at 06:00 looking at a computer screen, I couldn’t see by 08:30, or noon, or 10:30…I was carrying around five different glasses with five different prescriptions every day. The risk of causing an error that I didn’t catch just became unacceptable. I am only just hearing about vision effects now…I thought I was losing my mind! thank you for this video!!
Exactly … extreme light sensitivity and 12-14 shifts 5-7 days per week sitting while working a desk job in construction made it so bad. Was so happy to finally be able to quit. Just have to remember now not to sit at home for very long at a time and to keep moving even when I feel at my worst.
I take alprazalom. Is that similar to amytripiln. Does gabepentin help you. It doesn't me. 90 milligrams of cymbalto doesn't work for me. It makes me nauseated and stomach pain. I'm cutting back. What's your opinion. Thanks hun
Gabepentin made me confused and didn't help with the pain. Cymbalta didn't help either. Alprazalom is for anxiety but maybe it has a side effect to help with pain. That is what amitriptyline does is help with pain but is originally for depression.
I really like your channel. You give me hope. Thanks
I'm so glad! We have to support each other as not everyone understands what it is like to face this daily.

Symptoms can be different day to day with this condition. Take care!

Do you know wheelchair dads channel❤
No I haven't heard of that

Sounds exactly like me. I feel like sitting caused pressure which affected my vision. The longer I sat, the worse it got.

Do you know if adhesive arachnoditis is a disability.
I believe it if it makes you unable to work but that would have to be proven. I have not tried to apply.
