We used to live in Ft. Pierce, Fl. Right across the intercoastal waterway from the USD/SEAL museum on North Hutchinson Island and when they would do the HALO jumps during special events at the museum we would sit on our front porch and watch them come down. You never hear or see the plane they jump from. You just look up and see black dots appear in the clouds and then the chutes come out. Our house sat on a ridge so we could see over the trees and watch them come down and drop out of their parachutes right before they hit the ocean. That's a cool thing to ever watch if you ever get the opportunity.

And the old guy (he'd never been in the military) working there just started randomly talking to me and my buddy who was with me and we were talking about the S DV hanging from the ceiling by the entrance I had to tell him what it was cuz he didn't even know and he's supposed to be there to explain stuff to people that don't know what stuff is. But it was awesome being able to see the actual life boat from the captain phillips incident.

Anyone with an elite status is gonna have their fakers, it’s not new except the teams are getting more publicity these days with book deals and various ways of making the news. I was stationed in Virginia Beach, pre 9-11, and I’ve still got some buddies in pushing it to 30. I never had to take any fire, was never a SEAL, and I definitely don’t like the stolen valor stuff. Much respect to the real deal operators in every branch getting it done past and present. I hope videos like this encourage the next guy to step up to the challenge and get after it but you’re right, it ain’t all fun and games.
