- Loose painting in my sketchbook, I like how you can achieve this painterly look with gouache. Painted in my watercolor sketchbook. You can make the same with acrylics as well.

Aww thank you 😊. You can try making a sketch on a separate paper. Sometimes it helps to have a reference like that when painting freehand.

@@Neginz-Art I've never used it. Thanks for letting me know.
It’s also referred to as Opaque watercolor, if you water it down it can become almost like watercolors but I use it mostly like acrylics or in combination with watercolors when I want to put lighter colors on dark background (which you can’t do with watercolors). One of the main differences between gouache and acrylics is that gouache can be reactivated with water after it has dried whereas acrylics don’t.
