Thanks for very interesting analysis of Robert Cecil. I am particularly interested in the plots of 1603 where James owes a huge debt of gratitude to Cecil for prosecuting the perpetrators, (and Raleigh who clearly wasn't guilty - but it suited Cecil and James to behave as though he was.)
As a direct descendant of the Earl/ Lord Yarborough, a member of Parliament, I have an undying interest in learning more about him. I do know that he was married at Burghley House and was the commander of the Queens Royal Navy Yacht Squadron . His home was the Brocklesby Estate .I hope that there would be enough public interest that you could post something about him if you have enough information to do so. I live in the U.S.A. but my dream in life is to visit England and Brocklesby. Thank You !
