Her signature makes way more difference then Zhu Yuan's one. Especially if you don't have The Restrained, you'll end up losing a lot of DPS. Keep in mind that she requires lot of field-time so high DPS must be considered.
Absolutely agree. Burnice looks sooo fun to play and Caesar gives me edgy jalter vibes.

If Shiyu Defense gets harder, I'll just pull newer units.
Ah yes classic build horizontaly progression argument. Build 1 extra dps character at this point will cost you at least a month with how much dennis it cost. While also taking stamina from relics. Great now you have 3 undergeared dps characters. Been there in genshin until I started to build vertically. As f2p you should focus on maxing your units and snipe big upgrades like supports or weapons. If you dont care about s ranking shiyu s17 then yep pull for characters.

Having somehow pulled 2 copies of The Restrained on the standard channel, I'm good.
That being said, we can already see a little bit of feature creep with the W-Engines, with this one being the only Stun W-Engine that offers DMG amplification to the team, so its value is a fair bit higher than others. It's very similar to how HSR's limited Abundance and Preservation Light Cones all have some form of amplification. Still, I think it's only really worth it now if you really like Qingyi and want to invest vertically into her to secure a powerful Stun for long term, though idk how exactly it compares to her Mindscapes.
The 20% dmg buff to your squad member is very nice on top with helping her daze faster even though her f2p option can already do. I did pull for it to further invest in her so I can settle with Qingyi as my main stunner for a really long time.
Plus I am skipping for Asaba and Miyabi so probably skipping 1.2 and 1.3. It seems they want to do Sons of Calydon units first, then hopefully section 6.
I pulled this for Lycaon. Suits him almost perfectly even more than his own signature. Especially in looks
Actually steam oven at high refinement has higher daze than other A W-engines from its passive despite not having impact as main stat. I win to lose gaming already tested that. I personally use it at R4.
That w engine video you talk about the end sounds like it will be very helpful. 👍
I feel like Qingyi’s banner and weapon banner are a trap to make people spend more for Jane. Just look at Qingyi’s banner, there’s very little value in terms of new characters because we already have Billy and Corin, plus that banner makes no sense in terms of team composition.
Her weapon banner is also not good with other stun characters because it requires at least 15 basic attacks to get the damage buff, which is only possible with Qingyi because of her fast attack speed. This is bad for other stun characters because they have slower attack speeds than Qingyi. Also characters like Koleda and Anby can stun really fast and they don’t need 15 basic attacks, so you’re gonna end up missing the damage buff most of the time.
Overall, the banners right now are not worth it.
Thoughts on steam oven for QY? Feels like a good fit since she is mostly basic spamming before the stun

Steam oven gives Energy regen instead of Impact and Qingyi wants impact more than energy regen because: 1) she stuns faster and 2) her core passive scales off impact
@@tomiturner5523 you might want to try reading the full passives of w-engines again. Steam Oven ends up giving more Impact% than Impact% main stat A ranks (such an Anby's signature) because the way Qingyi plays synergises well with the passive. She spams B3 and builds energy as she builds her enchanced basic bar up - as you gain energy, Steam Oven gives her more and more Impact%, maxing out just in time for when she needs to use her Enhanced basic.
In my opinion, it's the best f2p stun w engine at the moment, because every time you use EX skill, you get combat impact% which is extremely strong, and it works with all stun agent

lol what are you talking about 3 or 4 seconds, ain't no fucking stun character except qingye gonna get 15 attacks in that time. i dont think any other stun unit is even capable of activating the passive
A shame u didn't touch on the other wengines that are part of that banner, Corin's in particular is pretty good and worth at least to pull to get that one which would prob take u no more then a few pulls to get it.
I somewhat accidently pulled this engine (got lucky i guess?) but i dont plan to pull for Qinqyi and i dont have any other stun S rank engines. Can someone tell me should i use it on Lycaon or i better use free A rank engines?
Same i prefer more off-field character more since playing DPS like Ellen is much more fun than stunner and I predict that Caesar will be 1st off field defender that i will save the ticket for her ❤

is it hard to accumulate 15 stacks as Anby to proc 20% more damage? against mob vs boss.
@@oramisc90 i didn’t test that much, i only did some materials farming and her daze build up is significantly faster. I will definitely give my inputs when i test it thoroughly:)
You won't be activating the group buff as Anby. Each tea-rific stack lasts 8 seconds and by the time you reach like the 8-10th stack, the first one will have already started wearing off. Plus most of Anby's stun comes from 123 + EX, which will interrupt the flow of stack building.

It's much better and you can also buy copies of it in the w-engine shop.
For stun and daze and at higher refinement, yes. It loses to Demara MK2 in terms of personal damage.

Ill got her engine for my anby so she could offer more than just stun to my zhuyuan :3
The stacks only last for 8s and do not refresh each other. Anby is not gonna attack 15 times in 8s to get that damage boost.

Her animations aren’t that fast.
@@majorwakanda8858 the w engine says any basic attack, I just test it and she does 16 basic attacks in 8 seconds not holding the basic attack 🤷🏻♂️

@@majorwakanda8858 I just tested with the w engine, koleda just stack +25 impact, lycaon +35 and Abby +32 it seems you need to get +105 as minimum to get the 20% attk
Going to catch up Qingyi in her rerun but the w engine is still good for additional impact with anby and lycaon tho.

I actually did this just yesterday and was really impressed with the results. I think it's easily one of his best w engines. edit: I ran the numbers, it's just ok.

For F2P and light spenders, never ever pull on the weapons banner. There will always be an alternative 4-star weapon.
Yes and no, dont pull because if you dont have a well built team comp that synergise with each other, pull because each character's sig brings more to the team than their f2p counterparts

Timing is everything
tldr. no you shouldn't.
If your pulling a character in ZZZ you should also pull their W Engine. People need to learn to build vertically and not horizontal. Invest in few characters, don't split your resources, don't pull for everyone unless your whaling. Like in Honkai Impact, the signature W Engine is what completes a character. There will always be A rank alternatives that you can equip them with but you will always have a weaker character than if you spent the resources to pull for their W Engine. This isn't Genshin or Star Rail where exclusive weapons and Light cones are not a requirement. To perform highly in Shiyu Defense you need to be smart with your resources and build vertically.

Hard disagree. This is not HI3rd. Thank God. Parts of the character's kit are not locked behind the weapon. Use an A rank. Especially for Qingyi.
Completely agree, but you understand how the game works.
Most players are as dumb as a rock, and want to blindly pull for as many characters as possible.
only applied to DPS character, for a stun character, signature weapon is not a must
@@Mun11691 In this case, her signature W-engine is cracked.
Qingyi hits the mob incredibly fast, especially when you reach basic attack 3 and start spamming hits. It takes no time to reach max stacks, which hugely buffs her impact stat, so stuns the mob much faster.
Then she buffs the incoming dps for 20%, which is a massive boost to their damage.
Her W-engine makes the A-ranked ones look like dogshit.

It's her best in slot and performance wise nothing will come close to it in DMG. Don't regret it.
It's really good though, and team buff weapons are always good to have
