Awww he's too great! I feel so bad when i think that i will probably never make it to see him performing live. Anyway i wish the interviewers, when asking him about the story of his origins and early life, could show at least some of the tact he shows when letting them understand that he's not always readily willing to talk about it... dammit, it's not like chatting about the weather or dishes he likes... that question was completely out of topic in that moment.
It's so funny, and I suppose ultimately cool, that he doesn't correct her on the pronunciation. Since she states she is such a fan, I wonder where she got the idea to say his name like that. You'd think as a professional, she would check with him how he likes it pronounced, before they rolled tape. Phonetically it's "Rameen KARIM loo" I know- because the first time I met him, I made sure to ask, and that's how he said it. ;)
Ramin is the best, and it is so nice when he says "yes mam".
Thanks so much Anna for posting this!! Mr. K looks amazing!

Ramin actually answers to Ramen or Rameen. It was the NYC announcer that said his name as Racheem - he drew the line at that pronounciation!
