Keenan you are the MacGyver of Laundromats. My friend is so blessed to have a tenant upstairs who was an appliance repairman. The other man was a metal machinist & between the 4 sites it keeps them busy. We have set them up both a mini workshop & lathe to manufacture components that break or die. Years ago when I was in video / film production I save every weird lead & plug for a rainy day. The number of times I was gifted gear & had these weirdo plugs that needed parts / adapters to get into service so I had them.

Had to chuckle, an owner of three mats and not a single quarter in your pocket. 😅. The videos are great, keep them coming.

Keenan:take the unit that you got the replacement nut from to the hardware store and get a pack of screws that will work on the screw. While you are there, get a tube of locktite to help the nut to stay on.

Place some Loctite on that little nut. A salesman told use about 20 years ago plus take some rubbing alcohol once every month to the slides and where the coins slide and no problem and more. We save everything.

4:00 - you are right about money being dirty, Keenan. My second location is a running laundromat, but it needs a lot of fixing up. When I take the cash from the change machine, I bring it home, and if I'll be keeping it for whatever reason, it gets washed in a quart of water with about 6 to 8 ounces of bleach. The water does get amazingly dirty sometimes for only having a couple hundred bucks of cash in it for a few minutes! And when I cleaned out all the 2005 HTT30 stack dryers I bought, the coin drops were LOADED with dust and lint and dirt, I didn't see how a quarter could even fall through them. They all got taken apart and thoroughly scrubbed with an old toothbrush and a toothpick to get in the corners!

I have some Quarter Master square faced coin mechs. Sometimes quarters get jammed in these and I can just I jam them. Other times they get jammed, I unjam them and they still won’t work. Very frustrating. There is a thin metal piece I replace but doesn’t always do the trick. Wish I could find a video on those.

Glad you was able to save money. However, do you sometimes wish you had a new coin drop (ever though they may be pricey) to have as a spare in case you need to diagnose on things at times? I bet you however been repairing Greenwald & E.S.D. products for years.

Hi Keenan, where can I find the short small screws that go on the side of the coin mechanism? I have some Dexter dryers and I noticed 1 or 2 missing on a couple of them
