"The crowdsurfing was not planned. Rami just did it on the spur of the moment, and he got into huge trouble with Health & Safety and the stunt people..." That just makes it that much better, because I feel like Freddie would've done that at some point. And considering the amount of research Rami did in order to "become" Freddie, I could totally see Rami sort of channeling him and thinking, 'You know what, Freddie would've done this, and it looks fun. YEET' I dunno. Just a thought.

Couldn’t agree more about not needing to see Freddie’s last months over and over again. Bless him, he was so much more than his end, it’s all the rest that matters, not how we all lost him far too soon (other than the spotlight it turned onto finding a cure for AIDS that is). From everything I have heard and seen of him, Freddie wouldn’t want to be remembered that way anyhow - he did it big, he did it loud and he did it best. Always!
Looking forward to the film, very much. So appreciate Peter sharing all this. ❤️

I think not portraying the final years is a big mistake. I hope they do in a later film. There was so much love and strength in the final years of the band. Wonderfull music, the best videos they ever did, all of this while working against the clock.
I think if properly worked it would have been a bitter sweet part, but beautiful anyway, like all the history of the band. They only need to put the focus on their creative efforts, which is exactly what the band did in the day.

Having had a short commercial filmed in my home for ONE day....I fully understand Mary’s reluctance to allow filming in her home. It was a real invasion, not just for my family and home, but for all our neighbors who had to put up with blocked streets, no parking, noise, etc. At the end of the day, the interior of our house had plenty of scratched and gouged walls and floors, camera track and tape marks, and 2 broken windows... sure they paid for the repairs because there was an insurance policy, but it was months until our home was fully restored at great inconvenience. And some of our neighbors are still unhappy about the impact on their lives that day. Mary made the right call.

AIDs came on in 1987 - admitting to the world that he was HIV tested and tested positive, was the secret that only his closest closest friends knew about - and they have all stayed silent about it ever since. Evidently many of them had to lie about this - and still do - and so they should ! But I am sorry to say that the film IS more accurate, when it comes to Freddie knowing his health status before Live Aid, than anyone has ever been told. - Including Phoebe. Bless him.

It is unfortunate to read so many unpleasant comments regarding Mary. The facts can be found all over RUclips. This was Freddie's choices, he declared it in his will what he wanted done. No one can truly know what the real relationship was between them. Mary always came first per Freddie, plain and simple.

I agree, it just makes me laugh how people react about Mary, actually i admire Freddie's decisions how he made his will that majority to Mary and his parents and sister not just friends or employees he knows what he is doing and he had lots of time to change his will if he wanted to but he didn't he could devide it with Jim but he didn't so i think we have no right to judge him with his decisions.

@@borntowin6931 I do want to clarify though. Jim was HIV positive. If Freddie thought that Jim was going to die it really makes no sense to leave his fortunes to Jim. He did leave all his loved ones 500000 pounds which isnt a minimal amount.

I really enjoyed hearing Peter Freestone going into alot of specific details about the film Bohemian Rhapsody. When I saw it, I was very happy with what was the final results of Bohemian Rhapsody. And it's so very true that there is no possible way to condense 45 years of Freddie's And Queen's lives in a 2 hour and 15 minutes film. All of the actors in the movie were almost twins of the original Freddie, Brian, Roger and John!!! It's the Most Loved Film Ever!!! Rami Malek absolutely had Freddie's Spirit within his body!!! And now we are almost into 2023, and Bohemian Rhapsody will live on timelessly until the end of the Earth. I love and miss you Freddie. 💞 Let Your Precious Spirit Forever Rest In Peace And Happiness Darling 💫🕊️✨ Blessings from Illinois USA 💓🇺🇸 December 25, 2022

I don't particularly like Rami as Freddie but like you said it is primarily entertainment. He had a remarkable life, and will continue his reign as King of rock with new generations of fans. Long live Queen!

To be honest, If I were Mary I wouldn't agree with film in Garden Lodge either. It's been her home for 27 years not a museum or a sanctuary. I was watching a Rami's interview and he said Mary read an sign out the script , so let's be happy she agreed with the movie. I don't know how theses rights and royalties work but I wonder if she hasn't agreed there would be no movie since she own all Freddie's rights and royalties?

We all know he was gay,bi, whatever you want to call it. Again, I didn’t need to see it. I don’t know what Mary’s deal is as I don’t know her but I did read Jim’s book and I thought it was a good book. I haven’t read peters book but I will. I see no disrespect towards Freddie by either of them. And yes Mary did give interviews as well. The movie was great even if the timelines weren’t always correct.

The movie made me laugh and cry so much. The boys making Music and arguing sounded just like your typical dysfunctional family. 😂😂 in the movie when Ben Hardy finished the Galileo‘s, he said, “ my nuts are in my chest!” & hysterical! Later on he and Freddie were getting into a fight, and Brian comes between them and refers to Freddie Mercury as “ Muhammad Ali”. Some people don’t know that Freddie a boxer in his younger years and he was a runner.
