@gotDM was incredible in this. What a brilliantly accurate portrayal of the rattled corporate suit. Honestly, he allowed the other characters to really contrast well. This whole session is impeccably well acted by all. I really do hope it gets more recognition. Stunning work guys!

Just worked though to this by watching the alien RPG play throughs - well done, nice original play, Plant was almost a Nick Cage character, Pilot, Corp, marine and engineer superb set up and it leads into the next senario so well - thanks again guys - nice interpretation .
Im 35 min. in and this Roleplay is amazing. Especially @gotDM. Norman Garrett is my favorite so far. Also, I highly recommend putting on alien ambience music. It really adds to the experience. I understand they couldnt have it due to copy right claims.

Hi there been a GM since 1st edition of D&D. Just invested heavily with the ALIEN RPG have been a fan of these iconic movies for 3 decades plus. This one shot you're featuring is this an adventure that you wrote or is this something that free league has available? Just getting started watched other people playing this. Mechanics are very straight forward. Am curious about this one shot where do us Game Mothers get new scenarios for is ICONIC UNIVERSE? Hoping to learn from this stream. Seems pretty easy to follow and am curious how gameplay works. I am wondering if someone is writing one shots it would be kind of cool to write a bunch. I actually have a unique idea for a campaign featuring the colonial marines. Thanks INO hope you make alot of streams featuring thus iconic universe and game
Hey thank you for the message. This One shot was a homebrew story written by the GM Danny. and following the one shot it has a sequel in the form of our mini series Delta Squadron Operation Lockdown. But it is all homebrew story.
@@TheInitiativeOrder very impressive. This gamer girl has been intrigued by the seemingly really well designed randomized tables to give you a starting point in the ALIEN universe. That Starmap is absolutely huge. I am curious is there a way to determine travel time between two points not sure if this was covered in the core book but for what I am hoping to do with this core system is to allow for a sandbox. It will be important to know how fuel is used and so forth hopefully the core book will detail this. I also bought the starter box set as well as the marines campaign destroyer of worlds also I pre ordered the colonial marines operations manual which is currently still being developed. They said July was when it would be shipped out who pre-ordered it. Has your Game Mother established a sort of generalized format to follow as this female Game Mother would love to have some kind of starting point. Roleplaying horror is something I haven't had alot of experience in all I know is I have probably watched the core ALIEN LEGACY MOVIES (4) at least close to several hundred times so it's in a way limited. Hopefully there's a good source out there you might know,of which you might be aware of. If it's possible has your Game Mother who wrote this have they a pdf for it? Since i have the full core book should I learn their rules or focus on the rulebook from the starter set to get my familiarity up or just go with full core? You are correct. This was our first time playing the system and we got the stress and panic rule a little bit wrong but it didn’t impact the story to much so all good. We have since started a mini series of the Alien TTRPG.
Just got to 3:20 and your first panic rolls... harsh. Good scenario but you messed up the stress and panic rolls. It's a simple D6 + stress level not D6 per stress so she should have rolled her 6 + 1 stress =7... not 11 which shoukd come much later in panic. Xenos tend to throw stress around willy nilly and it builds up fast enough lol, rolling per level will end up insane... I'm about to watch the rest and see how this goes down but I had to comment on the rules there... the gonna be catatonic in a moment if you keep this up! 😀
I know i realised that after the session, was our first time playing the system and running it. Next time we will have that sorted haha. Hope you enjoy the story.
@@TheInitiativeOrder the important thing was that the pace and tension were kept up and everyone had a good time, it was an enjoyable watch, they were really squirming in their seats and it actually ended up helping for some dramatic moments! Hey guys I have recently got the start kit off of free league and I'm almost ready to start my first session but as you probably no the pilot Davis has this game mechanic called "drug use" and it isn't in the condensed rulebook you get with the starter kit I have picked up the full rull book from my retailers but I still can't find where the mechenic "drug use" is in the rule book at all can you please tell me what page it is in the rulebook or can you possibly give me a in detail overview of how the mechenic works its the only thing I'm not 100% sure works and it's holding me up from starting my first game session please please help me
I will try my best to help! So on page 136 and 137 of the full core rulebook you will find all the information on medical supplies and pharmaceuricals. That may help, but in regards to 'Drug USe' for recreational purposes and misuse within the game, ii would use it as a roleplay aspect.
Check the Permanent Mental Trauma, page 101 of the core book. Addicts MUST take a recreational drug every SHIFT (5-10 hours). If they can't get their hands on it throw a stress their way 😀 they also cannot relieve stress unless they take thier drug of choice.

Were you playing a beta I thought stress was d6 plus stress points?
You are correct in the way stress die work, this was our first time playing the system ever. So we messed it up alittle. But it did add some drama!

No this was a home-brew scenario we created for the special. Mostly improv on the night.
