      I don't understand the last question of quiz .Can you please help me with that ???

    • @justlearnkorean
      @justlearnkorean  2 года назад +5

      @@jyotimaurya1111 Thank you for the question. Yes, of course I can help you. : )
      Basically, the sentence consists of "one dependent sentence (여행하는 동안 많이 먹어서) and one separate sentence which doesn't have a subject nor object. (살쪘어/요). In English, it's natural to say "I've gained weight because I ate a lot during the trip, but in Korean it's natural to say "While (I) travel(led), (I) eat a lot so (I) gained weight." There're two more things that might help you understand the sentence.
      1) "여행하는 동안" (during the trip) can be considered as the additional information for 살쪘어(요). But technically "여행하는 동안" is supporting "많이 먹어서 (I ate a lot)". Just like the English way (because I ate a lot during the trip).
      2) 먹어서 is the combination of 먹다 and 그래서. 그래서 simply means "so" but technically it means therefore, thus, for that/this reason.
      Hope it helps and I haven't confused you. If you need further explanation, let me know. : )

      Your simple sentences method is pretty good.
      I tried to build then following sentence:
      Every week I look forward to your next video because I can learn so much from it, even though I don't have much time.
      I builded this:
      저 매주 새 비디요를 행혹해요. 그래서 많이 공부하더 시간이 없어요.
      Google made this:
      시간이 없어도 많이 배울 수 있어서 매주 새로운 영상 기대합니다
      Is my part understandable?

    • @justlearnkorean
      @justlearnkorean  2 года назад +1

      @@harald_hangukjoahaejo9844 Yours are pretty good. : ) I understand what you're trying to say. Just connecting parts need to be touched up a bit.
      공부할 시간이 많이 없긴 한데/하지만, 비디오를/영상을 통해 많이 배울 수 있어서, 매주 새 비디오를/영상을 기대합니다/기대하고 있습니다.
      * 공부할 시간이 많이 없긴 한데/하지만: This part is considered to be the dependent sentence which should be placed at the beginning of the sentence, therefore, you should clarify what kind of time you don't have in the dependent sentence. 기는(긴) 한데/하지만 means "even though". 기는(긴) 하지만 sounds polite.
      * 비디오/영상을 통해(서) 많이 배울 수 있어서: 을/를 통해(서) means "through", and 그래서 should be combined with 배울 수 있다 (can learn).
      * 매주 새 비디오/영상을 기대하고 있습니다: In this case, it's clear that you're talking about yourself. So you don't need to add 저, but if you're talking about someone else, the subject should be placed in the dependent sentence. 기대합니다 and 기대하고 있습니다 (I am looking forward) mean the same. 기대합니다 is more for writing and video clips, 기대하고 있습니다 is informal writing and daily conversation.
      Hope this helps. : ) Thank you~~~

    How are adverbs, prepositions, and adjectives related to time, place, and manner? Is time adverbs? I want to know what type of words I need to study to be able to follow these formulas.

    • @justlearnkorean
      @justlearnkorean  Год назад +3

      Very good questions! Thank you.☺
      If you can make simple sentence (the first part in the video), you will find the rest easy.
      As the basic sentence structure is Subject + Object + Verb/Adjective, it would the best to learn how verbs and adjectives are used in sentences. Because compared to English, Korean verbs and adjectives are quite different in terms of grammar rules (A variety of sentence endings are combined to express certain things -> this video will give you the rough idea about Korean sentence endings: ruclips.net/video/o8N177s5afI/видео.html) And of course you need to study the most common nouns and pronouns which are often used as a subejct or an object, along with 은/는/이/가/을/를.
      The next step would be learning how to add adverbs into the basic structure (Subject + Object + Verb/Adjective). But as you know, adverbs cover a lot. Adverbs are related to manner, degree (e.g. very, almost), time (e.g. today, tomorrow), duration (e.g. shortly, temporarily), place (e.g. here, there) and adverbs of frequency etc. And many words are nouns (e.g. 집, 학교, 4월, 크리스마스), so you need prepositions. There are a lot of prepositons in Korean but you can start with 에/에서 which are used with time and place. And don't forget to learn how to add all of these different things to the basic sentence structure.
      Once you understand these elements, then you can learn conjunctions to make compound or complex or compound-complex sentences (the 2-4 parts in the video). But don't forget. Always start with the basic and the most common ones first.
      Hope this helps. If you have any questions while learning Korean, you can always ask me. Hope you enjoy learning Korean. Thank you. 😉
