Thanks for the study. Very enlightening. The TRUTH that the psalms are for everyone. Is so true. It made me realised that I can freely quote the bible without feeling that I'm preaching at them.

I am getting new insights too. I thought that David is the only author but now I have learned that there's other authors of the book of psalms.

Amen. Off to a good start, Colleen and Pedro. Our author seems to be thorough, how thorough we will find out as we proceed through the quarter. I agree that we should study more than simply read. And I believe we will be very blessed when we do.
I appreciate your insight about the division of Psalms 119 into 22 sections of 8 verses each making 176 verses. (It is probably my favorite Psalm.) I never took time to figure that out. The chaistic structure I did learn about previously although I must look more deeply into it.

Hi Edith, indeed there is a lot to go through with the Psalms and we cannot cover everything in the time given. However, when we study under divine inspiration, the Lord blesses us with what we need at the time. I hope it is the case for all this quarter. Blessings

This reminds me of king Solomon’s words in ECCLESIASTES that there is nothing new in the world. Everything that was, is in this time also, and humanity is going through all that was before, therefore the sentiments are similar.

Happy New Year to you too, Mapiki. We hear you, but this format allows for us to reach the objective of the study in the time we have. The idea is not about redoing what you have done on your own, but to try and touch on what may have escaped you. I hope that makes sense. Blessings.

GREAT! Sabbath School lesson is another BIBLE BOOK study. SDA denomination could greatly benefit if a LOT MORE SDA preachers would learn how to do BIBLE BOOK studies/sermon instead of shallow remedial topical sermons....“The MINISTERS must be CONVERTED before they can strengthen their brethren. They should not preach themselves, but Christ and His righteousness. A REFORMATION is needed among the people, but it should first begin its purifying work with the MINISTERS.” 1 T 469
We become overcomers by helping others to overcome. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony. RH 1909
It has often been presented to me that there should be LESS SERMONIZING by MINISTERSs, acting merely as local pastors of churches, and that greater personal efforts should be put forth. Our people should not be made to think that they need to listen to a sermon every Sabbath. Many who listen frequently to sermons, even though the truth be presented in clear lines, LEARN BUT LITTLE. Often it would be more profitable if the Sabbath meetings were of the nature of a Bible-class study. 21 LtMs Lt 192...
