This story is also telling me that GOD is still having a purpose for everything even in this world of sin. We have strayed so far away from His purpose for His creation. We don’t have a clue, how sad what sin has done to us.

What I am understanding is that we do not know GOD and we assume how GOD being GOD should act in certain ways. For instance, that He should be good only to those who served Him. But if this is not so, we then assume that He does not care about all our issues.

Dear Pedro thanks for this wonderful study. Never knew that a demon has been going to church with the man all along but only because Jesus was there it was recognized since the demon knew Jesus. We really need to read our bibles and not just read for read sake. We need to do as the scriptures said, "study to show ourselves approved unto God because I never learned this truth until now. Was Jesus' prayer repeated 3 times requesting God to take away the cup from Him not an expression of worry or anxiety? If yes, how can we reconcile His admonition in Matthew 6:34 "dont be worried about tomorrow" against His prayer/ expression in Gethsemane? And also in light of Phil 4:6 where Paul says don't be worried about anything?

Thank you for the additional information on Mark's use of the word "immediate" and "straight away". I counted it even in my Afrikaans Bible and the word in Afrikaans which means immediately is "dadelik" and it appeared 11 times.

A very thought-provoking and insightful study Thank you Colĺeen and Pedro. The Loud Cry warning must go out. The enemy's message need not be heeded. Truth alone, every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God. will stand in the end, the Truth personified in Jesus will stand vindicated.

My beloved late mother often quoted the memory text. As a child I often wondered how does one buy the truth when it is free. Somewhere else in Isaiah 55, if I remember correctly, it tells us to buy it without money and without price. We are in such intense competition for our time and money (economically) in this end time, it has got to be intense intentionality to follow this instruction/exhortation. Lord Jesus please help us. Yes, they follow the Lamb WHEREVER He goes; that is difference!

Therefore, whatever we do let our motive be that the ONE who is celebrated is GOD. It is He who has given us the blessings we enjoy.

There is a custom of some people making a blessing for a major purchase, such as a house😢 or a vehicle. The Pastor will be invited to pray and ask for God's blessing. Is this wrong?
