  • Sabbath school lesson 2024 titled ‘Singing the Lord’s Song in a Strange Land’ - Lesson 5 Q1. In our fifth study on our book of Psalms, we will address the following questions:
👉🏼What crucial and helpful truth can we learn by reflecting on the Psalms?
👉🏼Is it the case that the experience of Evil is the same whether you seek God or not?
👉🏼Why did God allow Sin and suffering?
👉🏼Does God abandon the believer to face the consequences of Evil on their own?
👉🏼How easy is it to trust in God when our hope is not supported by evidence of deliverance from suffering and pain in our lives?
👉🏼What about focusing on the bigger picture?
👉🏼What should we retain from this study?
Key Bible 📖 Text: “How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?” (Psalm 137:4).

Love the ostrich analogy. Putting your head in the sand believing thst those around you can't see you, yet the greater part of you is exposed. Daaahhh. 😮

Have you noticed how many great, influential and evil people-- prominent leaders in various sphers--in politics, in finances/economics, in religion, and in other spheres seem to live longer than the average? Good leaders seem to die early.
The psalmist found the answer in the sanctuary. Thy way O God is in the sanctuary. Ps.77:13
Thanks for the study. Very interesting questions and answers.

Hi Edith, this is true in many respects. Perhaps part of the answer to this mystery is found in Isa. 57.1. Thanks for the encouragement. Blessings.
