    I've been a Uconn fan for decades. What makes this program so remarkable is that unlike Duke and Kentucky, Uconn won their championships without the high level recruits that the other programs had.

    As much as Ollie seemed to be in over his head as HC, I don't think anyone else could take this team through a suspension year, keep them motivated, and then win it all the following year. Love you KO

      @@llehctim.45Uconn basketball is the best college team ever including both men and women’s basketball. Mens team is definitely the best in recent memory though, all time probably not yet

    2014 was the definition of march madness plus this was UConn most impressive championship win ever seen to be the only 7 seed and find away finished on top truly nothing could top this moment and North Texas interesting location 🎉

    UConn’s win over Kentucky (followed by Kansas’s win over UNC in 2022) continued a trend which a team who defeated a defending champion in the NCAA Tournament has not won a national title.

      2022 - North Carolina, who defeated defending champion Baylor in the Round of 32 and made the title game, lost
      2014 - Kentucky who stunned defending champion Louisville in the Sweet 16 falls in the title game to UConn.

      Michigan St (2009 - defeated defending champion Kansas in the S16) is another example.

    Sloppy ball handling, being indecisive with the ball, and passing up open shots on a possession I saw by #30 for Kentucky in this game.

      @@scruffd0g193 he was the best defensive player on the team that year, and the best rim protector. He was a huge part of that team had he been healthy they would have probably won that game IMO.
