I'm a French Voice Over Actor, and I love this video. Actually, getting advices from a singer is super interesting. Usually it's 2 separate worlds. Even if every language has different tones and pronunciations, how to use the twang for example, even if I knew what it is, I never thought it could be helpful in any way.
Please, feel free to drop more videos about this topic. I have no doubt it will enlarge your audience. Especially with the IA now, if you're just able to read a text, you can search for a new occupation. And what is providing you with work is your ability to play many different kind of scripts (advertising, news, trailers, e-learning, documentaries, video games characters, cartoon or child voices etc.).

Excellent tutorial Anna. Thank you for sharing that. As a former radio personality and uiniversity professor, I have spent years honing my voice and speach delivery. You are spot on with your examples. As a side note and fun fact, one little tidbit that radio announcers learn early on is the correct pronunciation of the letter "W". Most people pronounce it as (dub-a you). The correct pronunciation for the letter "W" is (double-you). Cheers!

Hi, lovely Anna! 🥰 I find speaking several languages an advantage in this case. Each language have their own sound, and it helps me in real life to find my own speaking range, sound, and speaking with a clear voice. Managing 6 languages, Indonesian, Thai, Mandarin, Norwegian, English and French, gives a reasonably good balance for me. I highly recommend learning more languages. I`d love to learn Finnish too, I started once, because of you, but so far I`ve paused it. I promise I will go for it again. I love the sound of Finnish, I think it is one of the most beautiful sounded language in the world. Kiitos Anna, you always deliver, I love your videos, your sweet smile, and your lovely presence 🤗🤗

Anna, this is such a useful video! My natural voice is that low-pitched, dark voice that you described, and during presentations at work, I had to increase my volume to be heard properly, otherwise it's just a rumble coming out, and talking loudly is so taxing for me. Now I can try to use twang instead! Thank you so much for this, and I definitely would love to see more videos on this topic.

I think I could listen to you talk about anything, Anna. You must be a great speaker!
Sometimes I find myself thinking about how I talk, and I wonder if I could sound "better", but it's very hard to know for sure if there's something incorrect about how you talk. Not only is this something we don't put much conscious thought into, but your voice sounds different inside your body from how it sounds to the people you're speaking to.

You have a beautiful voice when you are just speaking and i could listen to you, speaking finnish, the whole day.! I tried to speak finnish a little bit just by using Google Translator, because i simply like the sound of the finnish language. I can tell you it's not an easy task for me as a German. The two languages are very different in almost every aspect. I also read that Finnish is related to the Hungarian language which is interesting and unexpected.

Never thought about those aspects of speaking. I always learn something new watching your videos. Your articulation of the English language is beyond reproach. The tone of your voice is most pleasing, is that natural or practiced? Could you give a more precise definition of twang? I hear a lot of voice people use this term, but I really never understand what they mean. Thank you Anna and have a great week.
