Hi, I've been thinking about offering this as a service, if people want to ship me their cars. Email at stockpilehobbiessales@gmail.com for more info.

Steve! I had to check this out! To see the master at work. A big shout out to you and Dan at Slot Valley Racing! This blew me away, I tell you why. In the late 60s, I took the original Aurora Ford GT and installed headlight(s) The headlights were painted on the body and rather large, I cut them out, leaving an opening. No internet or LED bulbs then. Used an incandescent tubular bulb. Soldered to the rivets on the underside of the chassis. The bulb was tubular and just laid up across the front end behind the headlight openings. Nobody was more surprised than me when it worked. I must have seen this in a model car or slot car magazine. We tried Lemans races all night long, so I was set with lights. But we always fell asleep. Anyway, Thank you two guys for a real trip back in time! Cant wait show my 4 year old niece and sons what you guys did. Many thanks👍👍😎🇺🇸

Autoworld seriously needs to stop using Incandescent bulbs. They are too bulky!

Great work, thank you for that. Is there enough room for taillights?

I don't know, I didn't like the way the body mounted with the wires between the body and the chassis, but it could be done.

Very cool! The circuit board is to cut down on RF noise, apparently the FCC came down on them and they had to make the change and add the circuit board. That white GT40 body had known defects from AFX, they were doing replacements because of the rear wheel alignment and paint defects.

I would def eliminate that from the chassis then. I liked how you bypassed it

Yah, I had a clunker that didn’t run because of that. Bypassed and bam, got a long wheel base extra.

Nice, just replaced an old 63-69 Aurora Flamethrower with LED. Wires a little thicker, but clears under.
