I would also disagree I have a Hisense U7H and it has every feature needed to take advantage of the PS5 Pro and they just got better with the U8's and U9's. They are an incredible value for the money but that 48" LG C4 is looking good as I've been wanting to make the step up to OLED. Our main TV is the U7H and I chose it specifically for it being a native 120Hz panel to get me by and be tolerable as the wife could care less as long as it's pretty lol I love that about her she can't see the value in my being dead set on certain features until she saw another decent tier Samsung QLED and asked me what was wrong with that tv. I told her that's the difference between a 60Hz and 120Hz panel dear. So the OLED being just for me and primarily for gaming the 48" fits the bill perfectly. Good video. Hone your craft!
Hey man, your tv should be solid. i.e 120hz, VRR, OLED. However because it’s a bit older, it may not be as bright. Overall, I’d say it’s got some gas left in the tank.

I wasn't able to get the G4 since it hadn't come out yet and needed a TV for my apartment that I moved into in March with my girlfriend. I figure the PS5 Pro will look beautiful either way once it arrives.
One other thing to consider is that Samsung’s 90D series soundbar paired with the Samsung TV offers the best sound experience. However, the same soundbar paired with an LG is still top-tier. You just lose the pairing of the TV’s built-in speakers to add to the atoms experience.

It's a great TV. Bright enough for a HDR impact, the good processing and low input lag making it a nice choice for gaming. There's still some blur at 4k@120hz but it's really hard to see if you're not pressing your face to the panel and counting pixels. Unlike other TV manufacturers (even TCL and Hisense fixed this and allowed local dimming with VRR) using the same Mediatek SoC, Sony never fixed it and it does not look like they ever will. Also missing local dimming with activated VRR is not worth turning on this feature.
You don't need to. I have a G3 OLED and can tell you that you're not missing out on anything. The only problem with LCDs is blooming but people tend to blow it out of proportion. The QM8 does offer over 500 dimming zones. I'm still owning the first HDMI 2.1 compatible Sony with just 32 dimming zones and it was never an issue to be abuse no one is playing at a 70° off angle. If a TV was ok for a PS5 it will still be ok for the Pro as well. It's not like your standard will change because of a new console that is not much different compared to the one you are already playing with. I'll not buy a Pro because the price tag is too crazy. Here in the EU it's 800€ + 100€ for the disc drive.

People disagreeing about outside the Big 3 when the big 3 themselves aren’t that great. LG C series is too dim for HDR and unplayable in SDR G series is bright but lacks BT.2020 colourspace Sony sucks at gaming TVs, their own Bravia 9 can’t beat A95L in anything except brightness and A95L sucks for gaming compared to LG and Samsung by a huge margin Samsung has issues with things like dropouts or poor software os tizen and remote not great compared to magic remote of LG, then u have to calibrate it coz it is oversatured out the box, so BT.2020 is unnaturally vibrant without settings adjustments and S95D is matte. And S90D has game issue stuck at 850 peak and of course they don’t have DTS, Dolby vision is a misunderstood thing it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker
My TCL 85X955 has everything and with the mini led its almost as good as oled black. But it has more nits than a oled. I also have a LG C4 so i can compare it.
Nothing wrong with miniLED. Because TCL is budget does not mean they're worse compared to others with a much higher price tag. The tech is mostly the same. No one is sitting at a 70° angle and a pitch dark room in order to complain about blooming. You will not see it in normal use cases. I also have a G3 with an MLA panel but not for gaming. It's for watching movies from physical media in the first place. For console gaming my Sony from 2020 should be more than enough.
Shout out to my TV I had since the PS5 launched, my beautiful OLED 65' LGCX! Specs wise LG makes the best tvs in my opinion. I wanted a Sony for my Sony ps5 but the numbers and specs don't lie! Let's go
I definitely wouldnt leave out the TCL, Hisense, and Vizio. Those ones tend to look much better than the similarly priced budget models from Sony, Samsung, and LG. The latter brands are best once you get up to their flagship models in both LCD and OLED. But theres a big price jump to flagship. Just get something with a good contrast ratio and quality HDR with high nit count. If you are going to bother going with the top brands, just go all the way with a nice model. Otherwise, budget brands are better value for picture quality in gaming.
My PS5 looks good on my Hisense 65” U8N. It has all the features for PS5 including HDR+ and Dolby Vision Gaming. This is the first tv I own that have all of the boxes checked in my XBOX Series X tv compatibility.
Congrats bro. That’s a big freaking deal. My first 4k tv was a tcl in 2017 and it is in my bedroom till this day. I just happen to be a oled fanboy since buying my Samsung s95b 2 years ago. However know that Hisense stepped its game up with the u series.
Ur right on most somewhat. But Samsung qd oled are the best tvs. Quantum dot. S90d is better with colors and pop cause the glossy screen. S95d has lower contrast and color saturation due to matte screen finished. Lg g4 gets bright but colors bleed out because of its woled color scheme
I’m team Sony overall tv wise. A80j still going strong with my ps5. And movies. But gaming wise I like the LG C series. I’d probably get one once I get a house and my man cave. Primarily for my Xbox.
I upgraded from C1 to S95B, the improvement that QD-OLED offers is ground breaking. So buy yourself the cheapest 55 inch QD-OLED you can find, it doesnt matter which one.
Hiesense is a pretty good midrange tv and will be acceptable for the pro especially for 144hz gaming; if Sony unlocks that. I’m sure it will look great. I’m just an OLED fanboy.

HDR is a lie on cheaper tvs; they don't get bright enough and they don't have enough contrast/local dimming to display HDR highlights. It's a box gimmick, kind of like how the base ps5 box says 8k; technically true, but you know, not really. But yea, basically anything with vrr is also going to have ALLM, so if you got those on your 4k, you should be able to get 95% of the ps5/ps5pro experience.
This is why I hate modern gaming. I'm on permanent disability, so I can't justify buying an expensive TV with My $963 budget a month to upgrade to a $1000-$2600 plus a $500 warranty and of course sales tax "Only $1300" nope. Plus another $840 with tax for disc drive. No thanks. Enthusiast = you have $$$ to burn simply to game maybe 1-3 hours a day. I have money saved up along with investments. That's for my life savings, my family, and for retirement later on. The PS4 pro at one point was only $50 more than the base PS4 with a disc drive. Plus I didn't have to upgrade my 4K TV, unless I wanted to play a few games that were designed to play at 1440p at the time.

@@Ayebday I was born in the 80s, and as far as I'm concerned, the PlayStation died after PS2. PS3 sucked until about the last half of its cycle. *facts* PS4 started the remasters/remakes. Modern gaming not only equals a lot of money (I have money to easily buy a pro with an expensive TV. I'm just not going to spend it on these items) to be able to get the pro and the TV that will bring out all its potential. You think I can't buy a pro? Or a nice TV? I can pay cash for them too. It's all throwing money away to be able to get max specs and some higher FPS & slightly better looking with some games. Sony has become like apple since Xbox is on it's last legs for consoles. Mostly what they do are remasters and remakes except a couple decent games like Astro Bot lately, which I own, and they have third party series and first party series that devs can make new games for, but these companies don't care about making new original games. I don't know how old you are, put people around my age say 38 to 40 whatever or older would be glad to go back to the Golden era. The SNES through basically PS2 and what other game systems they had out at that time. They didn't spend hundreds of millions on games and you didn't have to wait 5 to 10 years for games to come out.. you didn't have remasters and remakes and broken or half a game on release, then release expansion passes for $20-39.99 later. They were pumping out new games that were amazing on PS1 and PS2 about every year and a half to 2 years. Most people even like me, who CAN AFFORD to purchase the pro & disc drive and a third TV that can utilize the pro, don't have the money. So they can't afford to have ultra realistic gaming experiences with their PS5 console on TV. I can afford to upgrade my expensive gaming PC, but I'm better off getting a steam deck, modding it, and playing games on that on my Samsung 7 series 2019 model 60 HZ 4K TV. I can barely count on my 10 fingers games that came out in the last 15 years that I would say are great games. The only ones I've had fun vibes with besides maybe 5 to 6 games in the last 15 years, have been indie titles, or third party titles. It's boring, I can't stand first person shooters, and multiplayer because people are so toxic and people cheat.

Any sony bravia from last year 4k 120hz vrr
These are also the same prerequisites for anyone buying a base PS5 👍🏽 great video, you got this man.
Hey bro do you think the LG c9 flagship model is a good TV for the pro or should I upgrade
Hey man, your tv should be solid. i.e 120hz, VRR, OLED. However because it’s a bit older, it may not be as bright. Overall, I’d say it’s got some gas left in the tank.
I have a 65 inch LG G3 OLED TV. Is the G4 that much better, or is it fine to stick with what I have? I wasn't able to get the G4 since it hadn't come out yet and needed a TV for my apartment that I moved into in March with my girlfriend. I figure the PS5 Pro will look beautiful either way once it arrives.
Stick with the G3. I have Last years Samsung S95C and it very compatible as is your G3.
@@VallieBGaming Bet. Thanks!
Got the A95L OLED @ 77" and the A80L OLED @ 65" PS5 already on the A95L. Still on the fence about the Pro.
One other thing to consider is that Samsung’s 90D series soundbar paired with the Samsung TV offers the best sound experience. However, the same soundbar paired with an LG is still top-tier. You just lose the pairing of the TV’s built-in speakers to add to the atoms experience.
Is it time to upgrade from my LG Oled CX or nah?
Yes upgrade to the lg c4 or lg G4
What you think about the Samsung Q70C?
Great video bro!! God bless you!!!🙏🏾

My tv with HDMI 2.0 can handle 4k 60 and 1440 120, these are more realistic targets for the ps5 pro anyways.

TCL is best budget gaming tv
I have a Sony Bravia X900h, I’ve had it since ps5 launch, should be good for my ps5 pro yeah?
It's a great TV. Bright enough for a HDR impact, the good processing and low input lag making it a nice choice for gaming. There's still some blur at 4k@120hz but it's really hard to see if you're not pressing your face to the panel and counting pixels. Unlike other TV manufacturers (even TCL and Hisense fixed this and allowed local dimming with VRR) using the same Mediatek SoC, Sony never fixed it and it does not look like they ever will. Also missing local dimming with activated VRR is not worth turning on this feature.

I have hisence u7h with 120hz and qled and local dimming pretty good for 800$ but i cant sped 2000$ cant spend on an oled
Here in the EU it's 800€ + 100€ for the disc drive.
i'm a veteran of the ancient ritual of couch coop battles. friendships were made and some were lost. rip to the real ones who are no longer with us
Sony Bravia 9??
Got my PS5 Pro pre-order in. I will connect it to my 3 year old Samsung 8K QLED. I'm good.
Qled tvs from tcl and hisense have really good contrast quite good blacks not as much as an oled but atleast you dont have burn in issue, and most of them at 144hz+game modes with lots of support for games, these offer really good image quality at way lower price compared to an oled tv.
He clearly doesnt have a clue he should mentioned this for people who cannot afford an oled tv.
People in pc space craves for actual qled monitors but they arent any much as tvs in the market, because you dont have burn in isssue.
Dont listen to him if you have lower budget just buy a tcl or hisense qled tv they are great for theyre price and more than enough for ps5 pro.
Good job!
People disagreeing about outside the Big 3 when the big 3 themselves aren’t that great.
LG C series is too dim for HDR and unplayable in SDR
G series is bright but lacks BT.2020 colourspace
Sony sucks at gaming TVs, their own Bravia 9 can’t beat A95L in anything except brightness and A95L sucks for gaming compared to LG and Samsung by a huge margin
Samsung has issues with things like dropouts or poor software os tizen and remote not great compared to magic remote of LG, then u have to calibrate it coz it is oversatured out the box, so BT.2020 is unnaturally vibrant without settings adjustments and S95D is matte.

Let's go
I’m simply using AOC gaming monitor with the following specs: AOC Gaming U28G2XU2 - 28 INch 4K UHD Monitor, 144Hz, HDMI 2.1, IPS, 1ms GTG, HDR400, FreeSync Premium, Height Adjust (3840 x 2160 @ 144Hz, 370 cd/m², HDMI 2.1 / DP 1.4 / USB 3.2)
Have an a95k and g3, think I’ll be okay. Also have 4k qd OLED and OLED pc monitors 😂

Lmao all this for a simple console plug and play. Any tv with 4k hdr vrr will suffice.
@JagsP95 i think he's just trying to promote these big name brands as he underestimated the cheaper brands with vrr that do the job as well as lg samsung and sony
I think OLED gets wayyyyy too much over attention.
I got a LG c1 I think PS5 pro will look good on the c1 tv
It will, all u need is hdmi 2.1 and a nice hdr spec should do, and then there’s no point of 144hz for the ps5 pro because they top at 120hz lol

Facts especially the part you said 1-3hrs a day
you dont gotta hate modern gaming😂😂 the pro console just aint for everyone dog. its meant for the people who want that little bit extra and have the money for it
@@Ayebday I was born in the 80s, and as far as I'm concerned, the PlayStation died after PS2.
@@Hyuga_Xeno Ive owned every playstation since the PS2 and ive never been more into gaming than i am today. If you dont have a lot of money then dont buy it. @@Ayebday I'm just curious how old you are. Things were so much better from about 1991 to the end of the systems that were over with around 2007 IMO.
Ps5 pro cant even do native 4k60. Its ai upscaled to 4k60,which is never quality wise as game running 4k60 on pc. Support for ai pssr again depends on game developers. Owning a right tv, from expensive lineup doesnt justify. I would focus on a tv that supports 1440p,120hz thats where ps5 pro will shine. It will do most games 1440p/120fps. Native 4k/60 every game we will have to wait for ps6.
