I can totally understand why some people want this but if i didnt already have one I would save money to build a gaming pc. BUT if the pro came with a disk drive I would consider it. I'm old school and I just cant support an all digital future. Unless they do what steam does and let you play for a couple hours and return the game if you hate it. I'm mixed on this release for real. although I am happy that they are pushing consol graphics forward in general. Great review.
When I buy a new GPU for my computer it improves the performance of every game I own. I think it would actually be cheaper to just buy the PC versions of all the PS5 games that get a pro boost.
Been playing it all day (got it for my hubby) and i definitely see a difference. Playing on an LG G4 and ive played the same games on a 4070 and I must say the PS5 pro is keeping up!! Looks amazing!! Rebirth, Silent Hill, and RE 4 remake is 😍. Buy it guys if you have the right TV. RUclips doesnt do it justice. You have to see it in person. Youll love it!

I sit at least 10 feet away from my TV. I have an LG which is damn good IMO, the Pro shines. BG 3 looks damn good. I have Bloodborne running 60 through my TV. It's a good product for those who want extra. If you have the money and I stress if you have the money buy it If you don't have a TV that can 4K 120 refresh rate or higher do not do it. You could just play on a 1080p monitor to avoid the upscaling all together. That way you'll be playing games dynamically at either 1080p, or downsamples to 1080p. But what do I know?
Makes sense for content creators, people who dont have PS5, die hard ps fans, rich people, and people whi wanna spoil themselves... I didn't bat an eye spending $700+ on my steam deck or $2300 on a single tattoo, but $800 for barely any improvement is just not worth it, at least not as of yet....
I wouldn’t say it’s for people who want to play Playstation games by Playstation. Those games already look great on base PS5 (although it’s a lot more noticable in person than it is viewing on a video or pic on your phone that’s for sure). It’s for games like Rebirth, or Monster Hunter Wilds (which has really poor image quality on base PS5 and foliage is pretty smeared even in Quality Mode). It’s for the Wukongs’ or the Jedi Survivor’s of the gaming world. And as more and more devs move to UE5 and comparably heavy engines and feature sets, image quality will continue to be an issue on base consoles more and more. Rebirth really is night and day and that’s what the Pro will really be here resolve. But even for other titles I was surprised just how noticable the difference is in some games. As far as the price, cost per transistor has gone up, which is why next gen XBox and Sony can’t just double the GPU power and call it a day, not at reasonable pricing. And especially not with players demanding higher end specs in games than ever. It’s why XBox just released a 600 dollar all digital 2tb console without even the option for a separate disc drive, why the base consoles have not only not gone down in price but have even gone up in some regions, and it’s why the PS5 Pro is 700 bucks. For the same amount that’s about all you’ll get building a PC as well. It definitely feels like a mid gen refresh, and I’m not sure what else people expected. It’s not going to give us graphical overhauls of these games. Although many have higher settings for things like lighting, foliage, draw distance, and so on on top of higher res at 60 fps. Actually kind of exceeded expectations. At the end of the day this is of course a niche unit though just as the PS4 Pro was as it only sold to around 12 percent of the playerbase as well, and I totally get people sitting it out. But I do think it delivers on expectations and I also think more people will come gain more interest as games continue to get heavier on base consoles and as more console only releases hit. Especially GTA 6.
So this situation is unique depending on the player. Since I bought the Ps5 I've only bought digital games and have access to all my hard disc games via playstation plus. So I don't regret getting the pro cause I bought the base ps5 on relese and spent nearly 1k because of scalpers. So this console is technically cheaper than the last one I got. And because I traded it in with most of my hard disc, I got over $300 in trade value. So I only spent $450. It's a good deal for me. However, my tv is only a 32in LED. For best value, I'll probably need a larger OLED tv or monitor. I get why people are upset but can't help but feel like there is more nuance than is being relayed.

When new releases come out next year and your base PS5 is starting to run games at 24FPS. You will think about upgrading to the PS5 Pro, but by this time next year both versions of the pro will be 50 more dollars for both versions of the pro.
I think the innovations for the upcoming consoles will be focused on stability and efficiency. Very stable fps but draws significantly lower power. Graphics are already good enough that people are starting to see no importance in improving it more.

Only paid 97 dollars for ps5 pro. Opened a capital one quicksilver and got 300 bonus then used that bonus on the console and sold the base ps5 for 340.

GT7 has 8k 60 fps mode, and nms has 8k mode on pro, increased storage and more power, while worth it, raytracing is the show PC paying 3 times the amount for very little improvements
Yesterday I bought a PS five digital which was on sale for $450. Since I have a 4K TV that only does 60 frames per second and no VRR option, I figured I’m not gonna get much of a benefit from a PS five pro anyway. So I basically saved over $200 by not buying the PS five pro. The games on the PlayStation five look pretty damn good still. Will see what the PS six looks like in a few years.
I wanted to buy it and play this with an open mind and clearly it is SLIGHTLY better than I expected. Thanks for LIKING the video!

I sit at least 10 feet away from my TV. I have an LG which is damn good IMO, the Pro shines. BG 3 looks damn good. I have Bloodborne running 60 through my TV. It's a good product for those who want extra. If you have the money and I stress if you have the money buy it If you don't have a TV that can 4K 120 refresh rate or higher do not do it. Save your cash serious;y

Dragon's Dogma 2 is now 60fps on the base ps5 model as well.
You could just play on a 1080p monitor to avoid the upscaling all together. That way you'll be playing games dynamically at either 1080p, or downsamples to 1080p. But what do I know?
Makes sense for content creators, people who dont have PS5, die hard ps fans, rich people, and people whi wanna spoil themselves... I didn't bat an eye spending $700+ on my steam deck or $2300 on a single tattoo, but $800 for barely any improvement is just not worth it, at least not as of yet....

I wouldn’t say it’s for people who want to play Playstation games by Playstation. Those games already look great on base PS5 (although it’s a lot more noticable in person than it is viewing on a video or pic on your phone that’s for sure). It’s for games like Rebirth, or Monster Hunter Wilds (which has really poor image quality on base PS5 and foliage is pretty smeared even in Quality Mode). It’s for the Wukongs’ or the Jedi Survivor’s of the gaming world. And as more and more devs move to UE5 and comparably heavy engines and feature sets, image quality will continue to be an issue on base consoles more and more. Rebirth really is night and day and that’s what the Pro will really be here resolve. But even for other titles I was surprised just how noticable the difference is in some games.
As far as the price, cost per transistor has gone up, which is why next gen XBox and Sony can’t just double the GPU power and call it a day, not at reasonable pricing. And especially not with players demanding higher end specs in games than ever. It’s why XBox just released a 600 dollar all digital 2tb console without even the option for a separate disc drive, why the base consoles have not only not gone down in price but have even gone up in some regions, and it’s why the PS5 Pro is 700 bucks. For the same amount that’s about all you’ll get building a PC as well. It definitely feels like a mid gen refresh, and I’m not sure what else people expected. It’s not going to give us graphical overhauls of these games. Although many have higher settings for things like lighting, foliage, draw distance, and so on on top of higher res at 60 fps. Actually kind of exceeded expectations.
At the end of the day this is of course a niche unit though just as the PS4 Pro was as it only sold to around 12 percent of the playerbase as well, and I totally get people sitting it out. But I do think it delivers on expectations and I also think more people will come gain more interest as games continue to get heavier on base consoles and as more console only releases hit. Especially GTA 6.
It's a shame the PSP was not able to play outside the home as long as you are logged into you account.
So this situation is unique depending on the player. Since I bought the Ps5 I've only bought digital games and have access to all my hard disc games via playstation plus. So I don't regret getting the pro cause I bought the base ps5 on relese and spent nearly 1k because of scalpers. So this console is technically cheaper than the last one I got. And because I traded it in with most of my hard disc, I got over $300 in trade value. So I only spent $450. It's a good deal for me. However, my tv is only a 32in LED. For best value, I'll probably need a larger OLED tv or monitor. I get why people are upset but can't help but feel like there is more nuance than is being relayed.

I got the stand for a dollar being that I have store credit but it’s alright. You need a tv that can handle the graphics but the smooth gameplay is evident no matter what you play on. But you can keep your Slime if you want and wait for the6
When new releases come out next year and your base PS5 is starting to run games at 24FPS. You will think about upgrading to the PS5 Pro, but by this time next year both versions of the pro will be 50 more dollars for both versions of the pro.

I think the innovations for the upcoming consoles will be focused on stability and efficiency. Very stable fps but draws significantly lower power. Graphics are already good enough that people are starting to see no importance in improving it more.

They COULD implement better supersampling in the regular PS5, but nah. I only play exclusives or PS+ options on my PS5 now. I use my PC for most heavier duty games.
Only paid 97 dollars for ps5 pro. Opened a capital one quicksilver and got 300 bonus then used that bonus on the console and sold the base ps5 for 340.

GT7 has 8k 60 fps mode, and nms has 8k mode on pro, increased storage and more power, while worth it, raytracing is the show PC paying 3 times the amount for very little improvements

Yesterday I bought a PS five digital which was on sale for $450. Since I have a 4K TV that only does 60 frames per second and no VRR option, I figured I’m not gonna get much of a benefit from a PS five pro anyway. So I basically saved over $200 by not buying the PS five pro. The games on the PlayStation five look pretty damn good still. Will see what the PS six looks like in a few years.
