So i have a moto g7 Play with android 10, and i can CAST from the RUclips app, but when i go to CAST from the Options it says NO DEVICES NEARBY. restarting my roku, my phone, my router, my modem doesnt fix it. YES the devices can see and communicate because if it can see the device from the RUclips app ut should be able to see the device from the SETTINGS! Never ever had issues like this with android 9 and lower Any REAL help would be just great.

I am fed-up cause there is no need for me to have a WiFi having a 3 GB per day Mobile plan but when I need to cast anything on my TV every where people say must have a common wifi. Older Sony phones had MHL connections, wired physically to the hdmi on TV and that has no lagging issues. 2020 , we still can't get it right using Miracast ,, screen mirroring, smart view, whatever you want to call it, it's all SHIT

If you can mirror your phone screen to your TV screen and your phone has the connection to apps such as Netflix & RUclips, just control what's on the TV screen by opening and using the app from your phone. Whatever you want to do on your smartphone device is going to display on your TV as long as both are connected to to the same Wi-Fi, or same thing if you're connected through USB or HDMI. If you want your TV to control the apps buy a Google Chromecast 3rd generation they're available everywhere for just $30-$35. Walmart, Target, online, etc ... anywhere

I'm not sure if you mean this, but you can get a USB-C (or MicroUSB) to HDMI adapter for 15-50$, it should work on most new devices. They're around 40-50$ at most places I've seen
Airserver is better for streaming because OBS accepts it as a Windows Program. It can be displayed in 4K which helps the quality and it has settings that enchant the quality of the mirroring with sharpening graphics instead blurry. I use Airserver with my Xiaomi Mi 9 👌🏻
I’ve used both airplay and android’s screen mirroring and oh HO! Airplay is so _so_ much nicer! Also, it auto-censors stuff like password fields! Its a shame, as I have quite a few android phones that could benefit from screen mirroring.

I use smart view...and then select Netflix and bingo...on the screen and begin watching. After 1 hour the tv screen goes black...saying HDMI 1....but my Netflix program continues to play on phone. What about when there's no wifi network present? IE no router. I want to use one phone screen as a remote monitor while my better newer phone is recording video on a gimbal mounted on an extension boom a couple of meters long. The "receiving" phone is on a simple bracket near the bottom of the boom. So I can see exactly what is being recorded and so avoid wasting recording time with badly framed shots. Make sense? The phones are both Galaxy types, an S8 doing the shooting on the gimbal and an S6 as monitor screen only.. Can a mere wifi link between these phones accomplish the above?

Screen mirror the first app they want to take via updates, how to turn off updates so they can't take it.
If you phone has a USB-C jack, get a USB-C to HDMI adapter at amazon or wherever. Then plug it in.
