I have no idea what weight the climate shield is I ordered years ago. But I just weighed what I have. Blanket: 4 pounds 2.1 oz. Poncho: ( I think it use to be called UL years ago, but it could be what Perry refers to as his standard current model. ) : 13.3 oz. The other poncho I have I think was called the UL HD or what he is calling the rip stop HD now and that weighs in at 2 pounds 12 oz. My Osni has the added pockets, again- not sure about the climate shield weight I picked, but that Onsi weighs 2 pounds 4.6 oz. So his Super Ultralight versions are considerably lighter. I ordered the SUL kit just before July 4th. I’m looking forward to it! His stuff is hands down the best on the market.

thank you!!. Yeah SuperUL liner is 22 oz and SuperUL blanket is 14 oz, both use 2.5 oz Climashield. Quite warm gear.

I'm very interested in the Super UL kit. Please send a link to these products if you could (I can't seem to find them on the website).
Also, could you provide a weight limit for the UL in hammock mode? I'm 5 11. If I'm primarily using the poncho in hammock mode, should I get the PSL or the PSLE?
I've been using your wide version for years and love it! Hiked the length of the Sierras with it.👍👍

I’d recommend the PSSLE for your height. The weight limit they say is around 200. But that is on the low side. 220 easily all day. And up to 240 I bet if your careful.

@ulbushcrafting6592 just received it two days ago, along with the ul osni. 👍
I'm a long-time user of the wide le poncho. I'm looking forward to trying the new stuff on a 4-day trip I'm headed out on tomorrow.

@@carrdoug99 awesome. Upload a video! I’m interested in the weight, and also compressibility of the items too.

@ulbushcrafting6592 The weight is incredible. The combination weighs exactly the same as my 15-degree down backpacking quilt does by itself (1.98#)! The combination compresses down to about twice the size of a nalgene bottle. July 1 probably isn't the best test, but the osni is really warm. Warmer than my Hill People woobie. I would give that woobie a 40-degree sleeping comfort rating. 👍

@@carrdoug99 awesome! I owned the Hill People Serapi ( sp? ) also. Having the ability to actually wear your “sleeping bag “ and “tarp” is a terrific way to save weight. There are two long distance hikers that I follow that do this. Their pack weight as a result is sub 5 pounds. LiteWay & Jacks R Better make a down filled Serapi too. If you wanted something warmer.
Any chance you will post a video soon 🙏

What is the size of the UL poncho, each three? I’m guessing 5x8?

I just found a video Perry produced about a year ago. He gives the dimensions to all 3 versions : PSS, PSSLE, PSSXL. I have the PSSLE and that is 96” x 55.
