Where do you think the Xenoblade 3 DLC will fall on the timeline? 👀
Most likely just the past, but I really hope it will be both the past and the future (Like the lives of Noah and Mio and such after the end of 3)
That i dont know , what i do know is that this video is amazing.
Nice work man
Probably in the past
Neither past nor future. It's both before and after.
Simultaneously. 😮
i tell u later, maybe around 29th April
Literal hours after you release this, the full trailer for the big DLC is dropped.
at 7:45 your time map makes a kind of monado shape, very funny
Aero: *releases a 18 minute long video on the full Xenoblade Chronicles timeline
Nintendo: "I'm about to do whats known as a pro gamer move."
I think it’s implied that the worlds are fusing in X2 when you get the Arch Sage. When you do those battles Neither Shulk nor Rex know how or what’s happened for him and Fiona to appear in Alrest. I’m guessing that this may have also been a tell tell sign that their worlds were starting to fuse on the Alrest side.
Then of course we see this is implied with the shadow fog appearance in the DLC for definitive edition.
I definitely need to go back and look at these scenes. That’s what I’ve always gathered.
Dude great video I love this series with all my heart and can’t wait for this Tuesday!
I feel like the DLC is mostly gonna be a prequel, but still have a few sequel elements to it, a pre-sequel of sorts. The other thing I am curious about is how Alvis is gonna work, because as well all know, he was there in the beginning of XC1, and he will proclaim the end, more than likely the end of the Klaus saga. Maybe Alvis has something to do with Moebius, maybe he had something to do with the worlds merging. Regardless, I'm sure the dlc is gonna answer plenty of questions many of us have.
‘Inter-quel’ is the semi-popular term.
16:23 Monolith Soft has mentioned in an interview that Xenoblade 3 ends the Klaus saga of the series. It ties together everything to do with the original experiment so it’s unlikely they would use the Klaus experiment timeline for future games and instead start a whole new trilogy with a new theme
It would be hype if DLC is both a prequel and sequel. This video makes the timeline easier to understand
I can’t believe the timing on this video. Good job on it anyhow
That was so helpful! Thank you! Subbed! 🙌
Did I miss something or was X2 & Torna not just the original universe but reformed by Klaus' good half aka The Architect?
I thought it was
yes it was, I rewatched all of X2 and Klaus did say that Morytha is the ruins of his old universe
Xenoblade 1 is a separate universe created by the experiment, Xenoblade 2 is the remnants of Klaus's universe which he reshaped into Alrest to atone for his sins.
You're right the video got it wrong
@@tomdaturtle5792 That's what I thought! Here I was thinking I was crazy.
Amazing timing lmao, this always happens with these videos lmao, I guess you should make this but updated after the DLC and all
Awesome video
I mean we kinda know what happened after Xenoblade 2. The picture!!!
I have a feeling that in the DLC, A is going to have a vision of Noah and Mio together after time moves again so there can be a happy ending! I desperately want their happy ending!
good thing i found this timeline. was curious when I saw the newest DLC
Nice video! Are you going to redo this now that the DLC is out??
I like how the timeline is shaped like the Monado
If Alrest is Earth in (XC) 2, then X is an offshoot universe because Earth was destroyed in the prologue of X.
Mans manifested the trailer drop…..
*Holds out arms*
Time to begin the experiment!
it's weird, but the ending song to xenoblade 2 foreshadows a lot about xenoblade 3. Talks about time freezing and binding/connecting with people
That would be cool as hell to have the Klaus experiment branch off into more worlds. There would have to be clever explainer as to why those worlds didn't want to reform like the worlds of XC and XC2, but if anyone can do it, it's the folks at Monolith Soft.
I love how your timeline looks like the monado!!!!
Xenoblade Chronicles is a piece of Xenogears as a whole.
1 is the Gears story of mechanical and biological war from god and creator.
2 is the notion of human chimeras and experimental gears like Esmeralda, from Blade and Flesh eater to titans.
3 is Fei and Ellie's endless resurrection story even made DLC a nod to Fei being a melee lead with Ouroboros mecha interlinking like Weltall thru Fei and Ellie.
X is about the Gears and immigration to an unknown planet.
Well…yes. Because Takahashi has been recycling ideas for two decades. Dude is practically the real life Mobius stuck in the endless now.
Perfect timing
Major error in the video. Alrest takes place on Earth. This is not a new universe. Earth just kinda got rekt and Claus used technology to create Alrest.
Thank you!!!!!
Please make a continuation with an explanation to "future redeemed". I'm maximum confused 😂
So Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed not only tied up the Klaus saga of the trilogy but also connected Xenoblade Chronicles X as canon to the story AND connected Xenogears and Xenosaga.
awesome video man! can you please link me your wallpaper 14:13 :D
I think Xenoblade 4 could take place in the newly merged universe of XB 1 and 2. Since the ending cutscene of Future Redeemed showed both Bionis and Alrest becoming one again. XB4 could take place in this universe, although idk what they could do with it since I feel like the story of both these worlds are pretty much wrapped up. If it remains unconnected, future games could also take place in Xenoblade X's universe. Personally I just want to see a full resolution to Noah and Mio's story, mainly if they ever meet again. I feel like future games taking place in other universes birthed from the experiment would kinda feel like retconning things. Since it would bring up questions like why these worlds didn't get merged back into Aionios if they were also original part of Klaus' world. It would also kinda make it so Klaus' story isn't over since these worlds are also products of his experiment. If it were to take place in another universe, I think it would be one completely unrelated to Klaus' experiment.
I believe xenoblade chronicles x was a prequel to the experiment. Think about it, X takes place in a universe that appears whole, it's tech is far superior then any we see in the Blade trilogy, war is everywhere (something Klaus hated about humanity), giant mechs that you the player can control. I truly believe X is a look at what the universe was like before Klaus found the conduit and performed the experiment.
I don't think the end of the trilogy means the end of that whole story; world; and even characters, and that future games will be totally different - It'll be more like the end of the greater chapter that makes up the first three games, and then continuing off of that in Xenoblade 4 with a new major plot device in the same world
Future Connected only takes place one year after XC1, not two.
so Xenoblade 3 event is basically only happened for like maybe 7 second in real time but if you put it to context from Rex, Noah, And Shulk it was way longer than that.
You should have waited for the expansion to come out before uploading this
A good overview aside from the wrong assumption the XB2 universe is another new one and not the continuation of the original universe in which the experiment took place.
But it wouldn't make sense, if the experiment started a whole bunch of other universes. Why should only the two we know yearn for each other?
I think these two scenarios are more likely:
Origin reset the universes to a point in time before they were merging. So it probably will happen again.
a) They find a way in the DLC to merge the worlds in harmony without annihilating each other or
b) the worlds will coexist without merging.
In both scenarios there could be new stories told in either an intact Aionios that isn't caught in the endless now or the two separate universes.
As cool as it would be to see Xenoblade franchise continue, I still want to see Monolith Soft tackle other games aside from Xenoblade like that new fantasy IP they were working on but haven’t gotten any updates since its announcement 5 years ago (most likely it’s probably being reworked for Nintendo next gen console) and I wouldn’t mind seeing them tackle an established IP too like I feel they could make a great Star Wars game for Nintendo
as someone who started xeno games with xenosaga 1's ps2 release, overpromising a 6part epic that ultimately got cut short just didn't work for me. i dont want to get to the credits on a massive cliffhanger only to have to wait years for story continuation, im looking at you ff7 remake. every xenoblade game had satisfying endings, so having 'standalone' games (with story dlc) that ultimately ties together in unexpectedly ways is perfect. its a formula that gives you things you never thought you needed.
I hope the next xenoblade starts over in many ways, so it can create its legacy mostly from scratch instead of basing it off the previous games as then it would feel more impactful imo
I wouldnt be suprised after seeing Future redeemed ending scene Monolith will focus on retelling the story of Xenosaga and linking that back into the overall story. And maybe Xenogears as well.
my hopes for future redeemed is that we see the agnes side of the intro to xbc3 with rex and glimmer and mio all together, after the dlc ending
If Noah has his memories at the end of Xenoblade 3, then the cast in the DLC have memories of what led to their failure. The DLC could be about them correcting their errors and defeating Mobius the first time around. Just speculation.
Agreed. Found it odd he didn't address that in the video. If at the end of 3, Origin reboots, and we know this takes place before 3 in terms of traditional time, then it could be both a sequel and prequel, if it takes place after the chronology of 3, after the reboot. We're seeing the founders stories but after the reboot and the stakes are that they have to stop Mobius and the Endless Now.
I doubt they will go with the infinite universe option. since they stated that its the end of the event’s following klaus’s experiment. so that already kind of debunks the theory considering that all those infinite worlds would still be created/accessed though his experiment.
or they do a "the legend of heroes" style, where they have story arc in trilogies while have some fan service/connection between them.
Update video now that Future Redeemed has been released? 😬
So the Conduit was operated by Klaus and making it possible for the Bionis to exist but after Zanza[1/2 of Klaus] got yoked by Shulk the Conduit lost its operator Klaus and since they're was no more operator for the Conduit the Bionis could not be maintained.
Wasn't the whole point of the ending in XC3 to continue the fusing? The gang literally stopped Z because they agreed that things must move on. I'm pretty sure that the annihilation event ended up happening and Origin working. Like the ending we see after the credits is already worlds fused. I don't think they went back to how they were. The whole point of origin is to boot life after the innevitable
I feel the same way. Hopefully the new games take place in this fused world.
Takashi states "This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus's experiment" so maybe the Klaus story arc has concluded but the world lives on in future games or maybe they'll start fresh, either way we're in for a treat.
Due to the romantic in me I'd like a little more closure for Noah and Mio.
We'll see in a week.
The worlds coming together would destroy both of them. Origin was meant to recreate both worlds after they came together so that they could essentially pass through each other, keeping both of them separate. Moebius messed it up by "freezing" time as the two worlds collided and using the data stored in Origin to have people endlessly reborn instead of recreating everything once the worlds passed by each other. That's why we see all of the annihilation events throughout the game; it's because time is moving forward very slowly, and the two worlds are slowly destroying each other.
Origin was supposed to prevent the universe anihilation effect. DOesn't mean that the worlds aren't close since communication between them is possible.
It's heavily implied that despite the fact that they cooperated , they still were on a tight schedule so maybe they can find a way to peacefully merge without the drawbacks of ionos
Considering what was implied in the ending…might want to add X and Xenosaga to the timeline
So question to You Xenoblade folks - from XenoGear and Saga fan.
Xenoblade talks about Monolith and experiment - in Saga and Gears we have this monolith.
Is XB events after Saga and Gears ? are there any ref in XB from XS and XG ?
Without spoiling too much, Xenoblade 3 kinda implies that Xenoblade and Xenosaga share the same universe (or at least continuity meaning that the Earth in Blade is the same one in Saga). If this does end up being true, Xenoblade takes place about the same time as Saga (I think). Then Gears isn't legally allowed to be connected because Square Enix is mean :(
It could be a new universe. We don't know how many worlds the conduit created besides those two that were connected to Klaus.
But I do hope, that the DLC might hint at something.
Could it be that the dlc for xenoblade 3 is just an alternate prologue to the main story of the game. That the group formed stops mobius before "the endless now" is formed in Aionios. Where in the end, we see an adult Noah and Mio reunite with the whole gang.
Probably, it will continue Xenoblade with X, as it is a point appart from Kraus experiment
Ok I have to ask what did you think about the dlc? It confused me more then anything.
Nice
for the next games It could be XC4 or Xeno... whatever the name they came up
the events can take places in another timelines or takes place in far future of Alrest/Bionis+Mechonis
I like to see the far future of Alrest so we can see City folk being born as part of those worlds remember that Origin keep collecting data even after being Aionios
my understanding of the end of xc3 is a lil bit different. the universes/dimensions fused back together to one (timeline). the origin was supposed to "bring back life" after the annihilation event occured. what this new world(s) looks like is up to our imagination right now, could be anything, but it should be only one universe now
I just bought Xenoblade 3 and havent played any of the previous titles. Iam excited
Future Connected was only one year after the original Xenoblade. The intro states “One Year Later”.
Ty for the spoil on the thumbnail 🫠👍
Theres literally no spoil but ok
@@ActualAero the guys on your thumbnail aren’t final bosses or linked (i mean at least for XC3) ?
I think for the Xenoblade 2 Side of things during Xenoblade 3's start would be Mio, Sena and Taion's version of the intro to Xenoblade 3's Intro, because we know Mio, Taion, and Sena are from the Xenoblade 2 world and Noah, Eunie, and Lanz are the Xenoblade 1 world. And we know this bc of Xenoblade 3's ending, so maybeeeee I think Future Redeemed is supposed to be a prequel but taking place in the dimension where Noah and Mio died after their happy ending somehow? Idk Xenoblade 3's other timeline thing kinda confuses me😢😢😢
Having played Future Redeemed, this takes place after a story cutscene in which N destroys the City and M cries out for why. The version of events in which Noah and Mio get a child, but pass on dye to their lifespans
Nice timeline
Sorry, but you're all wrong
Torna is a part of Alrest
XB3 Aionios is a combination of Bionis and Alrest and was formed after the events of 2, but way before 3
My headcanon on how long it took 3 to start after future connected is about 50 years. Tora helped make Origin and he was pretty young in 2. Also, Melia ages slowly and she doesn't look that much older
Well the Story expansion definitely blows that right out of the water cause there’s no way Shulk and Rex are in their 60’s at the time it takes place, and at that point Mobious has clearly already been around for awhile. I could see 20 years having passed but no way could it be 50 years.
@@InTheMindOfDavid I haven't played the expansion yet but it takes place before xbc3 so...
I'm not saying any if us are wrong, I'm just thinking aloud
Does X fit the timeline at all or do you think it sits by itself.
I cried so hard at the end of xb3 lol
XBC4 HYPE, BABY!!!! 🥳
didn't rex and shulk meet before 3 though
Finally
so it doesn't create a new world called torna. arrest is just what remains of the world that Klaus did the experiment from. torna was just a titan in that world. not all that huge of a detail but none the less isn't stated correctly
Isn't the middle part of the thumbnail a spoiler?
OMG...THEY JUST ANNOUNCED XBC3 WAVE 4 DROPS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!
It woud be niece if Xenoblade Chronicles 4 & 5 woud play in a another universe parallel to 1 & 2, 6 wood play like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with a new universe fusion but parallel to 3, 7 woud be a fusion of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 & 6 and 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 woud folow in the same patern like 1-3. Id woud be niece if Xenoblade Chronicles X woud get a sequle as X2 to pick of after tge cliffhanger of X.
Time to remake the timeline
Alrest was not created through the experiment from klaus. The World split apart, Alrest is the Original World (Morytha)
HAHAHA good luck trying to make a timeline video about Xenogears and Xenosaga MUCH FUN! There are whole books about it!
But honestly you should try to play them, they‘re great!
Xenogears is still my favorite by far... Though Xenoblade is great as well. Xenosaga was rushed, however 1 and 3 are great
Oh the timeline is a xenoblade, cool.
Can i have your wallpaper sir
Correction: XC2 takes place in the original universe no new universe is created. All life on earth was wiped out.
Part of it does, not all
Watch the dlc completely throw this timeline out the window
I'm so glad it combines characters from 1 and 2. It'll be so cool to see Shulk and gigachad Rex
Watch it end at the start of Xenoblade X remake
Xenoblade chronicles X: what about meeee 🥲
Or here is a great idea continue xenoblade x storyline
x2 and golden country take place in the original universe above earth. morytha is the ruins of earth
Erst Dimension: Xenoblade Chronik 1
Zwei Dimension: Xenoblade Chronik X und der Nachfolger Xenoblade Chronik 2.
Dimension Verbindung: Xenoblade Chronik 3
Did I get spoiled, 😢
Xenoblade Chronicles 4 Nintendo Switch 2
Spoiler Alert:
The story DLC is a takes place before the main game.
The official japanese xenoblade team tweeted that it's going to be a prequel to xenoblade 3.
Here's the original tweet translated:
"Future Redeemed" is a prequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 3, featuring a
new protagonist. It's a totally original story that will connect the stories
of the three Xenoblade games in a way never before told. #Xenoblade3
edit: oh i saw the new video 💀
Kingdom Hearts ReNintendo'd
The game sets up heavily for Mio to be on the warpath to travel to or make contact with bionis to find Noah again.
I just finished xc3 have not played 1 & 2 and dont plan to so this video is great before i start future redeemed 😁
This is like when Shulk became the Xenoblade Chronicles
This video could have easily been 2 hours
For the Xenoblade 2 side of the timeline being blank, we do have a few things we know happened. We know gigachad Rex had three kids because of the picture, we know Nia is a queen and helped build half of origin, and we saw Torigoth being destroyed by the other world crashing into it.
Thats three events we know happened on the Xenoblade 2 side!
edit: whoops, you talked about this stuff, I commented too early in the video!
Man, the DLC made some of the statements in the first two minutes age horribly.
just completely retconned xenoblade x didn't they?
