I met Jase & Simon at Katherine a couple of years back, a great pair of blokes. This happened not long before I met them and of course the conversation soon turned to this situation. After fifty odd years 4 wheel driving throughout this beautiful country, I learnt something from this. This is the best demonstration of team work and Aussie mate-ship I've ever seen on you tube !!!. I'd have been proud to have you both with me in Vietnam. "WELL DONE BOYS !!!!"....True-Blue Aussies.........
Over 40 years of four wheel driving and I've never seen such a extreme recovery , great TV boys , keep up the great work !!!! Love the look on your face Mate
The fact you were able to keep your composure through all that amazes me. I watched this video with a friend as we prepare for an overlanding trip from California to Argentina. The whole time I was just telling him, "You know I would be losing my shit right? I can't believe these badass aussies!"
I have never ever seen something so insane in my life. You gentlemen are the best example of being calm composed and spontaneous at the same time Brilliant recovery
May have been the most stupid thing you have ever done but was one of the best lessons you have ever given. This is what we need to see. A big thank you to the camera man.
+1lapmagic If the camera man got his shit together and got it the first take they wouldn't have been in that mess. But at the same time this mess is what went viral and gave them tons of publicity...
In hindsight it's great to see that you guys are only human and that things can go wrong for even the professionals. Makes for interesting watching lol! Great recovery guys. Xx
Lots of Monday morning quarterbacks with genius vehicle recovery suggestions from behind their screens. You guys were fantastic in executing this, and I loved your attitude.
Exactly. Notice at tthe beginning when the initial bogged driver assesses the difficulty of it all and he says: "Yeah, we're gettin' out." He's very hopeful but I can tell he's deeply concerned that he might not get out. But that's the attitude that the Australian has. They die fighting. Die on their feet (when they do get killed which is hardly ever. Just ask the men that have fought beside them in war).
Clifton Bertram lol I was curious if the winch could pull both truck out at once like a train. Maybe it couldn't but seems like a logical plan if it could.
WOW! You Guy's got LUCKY on that one! That was Close!! Good thing for the Winch and Quick thinking. Cool that you had the camera too record this. This is the story that needs video proof! Cool that you guy's have it! Thanks!
I work in the cape and for my job have to travel these roads regularly. I drive alone and traverse roads that often havnt been travelled for weeks. I see southern number plated vehicles ripping up the road and doing rediculous things regularly. Rule of thub with tidal water, dont drive across it, if so, have your snatch straps at the ready, assess anchor points before traversing. I carry old ww2 marsden matting strapped to the truck and it never fails. experience goes a long way. You guys did a good job, in that, you never stopped trying things and even when things didnt work, you kept giving it a go. You worked well as a team.
I have a pretty good pallet (2500lbs) of original Marsden here. I use it for custom furniture/fixtures. Seems govt sold a bunch after WW2...I got mine from a barn demo, farmer used it as fencing near the barn. Nice to have around...I don't "off road"...but I do plan to use some as removable panels in a roof rack. In an absolute emergency you could take the time to unbolt it.
Jase & Simon, AMAZING!! you both have displayed , courage, comradeship, stayed to game plan, and just got on with it! Boys, that's how its done. ....... I'm sure a lot of those Big Mouths would have crawled up into a ball and just cried. I'm a fan, lessons learn't, thank you.
Amazing recovery. Impressive how everyone kept calm and stuck to a plan even as things got worse. Was on the edge of my seat watching. Excellent. Just subscribed. Good on you mate.
This is every time I would go off roading with my buddies late at night. One of us would get stuck in a place that looked harmless and it would turn into an all night event.
"that there would have to be the stupidest thing I've ever done." That ought to be the club motto for all men with 4x4's. I've said it quite a few times myself.
Cool video guys, glad you got both rigs out of there in time. This is the worst kind of stuck because the treads get filled, no traction, suction from the mud/sand, and time running out because of rising water!! Couldn't believe it when you flipped the one right back over and only a bent mirror!!
Don’t understand all they say. But I do admire the fact that nothing makes them angry. They are never annoyed. That has to be unique to Australian males
My humble opinion is that those cars are incredibly HEAVY ! I mean just look at all those stuff they carry. I haven't watch many episodes of All 4 Adventure so I don't really know what those people do in general but so far I really enjoy those videos. I am into 4x4 for more than a decade but in Greece from where I come from we have a different philosophy. Smaller cars so to be more lightweight with excellent items (winch, tyres, shock absorbers etc) so to perform the best but always we keep in mind to take with us only the necessary stuff we need. So no problem in extreme mud, snow, sand etc. My personal opinion is that HUGE engines with countless horsepower is rarely needed, after all no matter how much strong engine you have car still has only 4 tyres, so how not to stuck so easy. I was really impressed how easy the car stuck and he wasn't going very slow. For me too much weight is my enemy especially in those difficult terrains. Also the car that was pulling had also so much weight so high and the gravity level was on the sky so with a small wrong ungle of pulling he flipped. Still I really liked the videos I watched so far. Keep the good work people, you are really cool :) Sorry for any mistakes but as I said English isn't my language. Kisses from Greece.
+joe eoj I agree on the general philosophy. I can only assume that the heavy load is due maybe to them going so far out from resources? I am getting a military trailer like an M416 for my jeep so that on long trips I can spread the load out and still have enough gear for the entire trip.
+J Myakka Well, yes if you intend to stay many days out in the wild of course you will need more stuff with you. For this reason when I go out with my friends if we program a many days trip we try to take with us more vehicles so to share the weight. For example if for 2 cars the weight is too much we arange to go with 3 cars cause for many days we carry from chain saws to those machines that solder iron ( I don't know the word in english) In some cases for many days in the snowed wild mountains it happened to go with 12 cars. Imagine what we took with us lol. My point is that if I want to go alone for example I will stay out as many days I can with items I can carry in a safe level of driving. Security is first priority and a good company is a must :)
they are geared to go for several weeks out in the outbacks! And they need all the power because of the heavy loads that they carry. The is essential when climbing steep inclines which we have quite a lot of here in Australia. Once in a while, they also bring their boat which in total together with their car, boat and trailer and all the gears, they weight over 6 tonnes! So i doubt a tiny engine is going to be able to haul 6 tonnes across our Australian outbacks... And plus, this show is about 2 guys and 2 4x4 trying to tackle the great Australian outbacks which is why they have to have everything in those 2 cars. And since this is a show, they are not going to be putting everything in the camera mans car so this way it lets us know that it is possible with the right equipment!
since your from greece ill explain where these guys go is so remote inland theres no shops or anything they are self reliant they run out of food or fuel they are stuck thats why there's so much stuff they have to carry everything on the tray its not how heavy it is its how will you survive the simpson is closed for most of aus's summer because people go out and die from not having the amount of water they need not talking as a keyboard know it all talking as a aussie who knows these trips well
I have on my own many times. There have been occasions I've regretted that decision. Still alive though and those days are behind me now so no risks now.
It's good advice for ANYONE, things can always go wrong that could end up with you dead simply because you needed some help of some kind. I know, I used to go bush myself a lot of the time. It is much riskier though.
Ocean beech sand is a real tough situation, tides make things real bad. No traction even with the best 4 wheeler. Never seen a turnover recovery like that. Great save, I learned a lot watching.
That is one of the CRAZIEST things i have ever seen. Talk about what else could go wrong and make things even worse........ Mate you both with quick thinking and experience out did yourselves. I don't know who else could have got themselves out of this rolling disaster............You both are absolute bloody LEGENDS !
Don't say you're stupid Jase for doing what you did, it's a normal offroader instinct to drive again in the track you've driven before subconsciously thinking that it is harder like in almost all muddy tracks. Unfortunately in this rare case driving in the hard crust in the area you haven't driven on, is the right thing to do.
I love this stuff, remote and bogged. But any river/mud flat crossing especially up North should be taken very seriously. The first time he went through, he was hooking, on the second go for the stupid cameraman, there was nowhere near enough pep to his step+the crust broken. Good shit this thou, love the Aussie never give up, spirit.
Can't even imagine the sheer pressure you're under when you get yourself neck deep in shit like that, gotta think fast and on your feet, especially when new obstacles just keep showing up after everything you do, at least we got a good ending and I'm sure those gents learned a lot!
That folks is why you always travel in pairs. At least they were prepared, hopefully before they go out next time they will purchase a sand anchor as well. A snatch block will allow you to anchor to a tree or the sand anchor and back to yourself to get you back on your wheels. Good job guys holding your cool in a very stressful situation.
This happened to my uncle and I once and it kept sinking in. We had 2 fj80's, 2 f-150's, a raptor, and a bronco. Every truck got stuck except for the bronco because he came late. We got stuck for 28 hours.
The other trucks brakes would not be on. The front truck with the bad brakes wouldnt be using brakes, it would be winching itself towards the tree with the stuck truck dragged behind it by straps. Very simple, very easy and much safer. But hey its easy saying that sitting here. Who knows the winch might not have been strong enough to pull it out anyway, it was very heavily bogged.
No knowing everything you two were up against nor the equipment on hand, hind sight will be 20/20. In my humble opinion, I'd have tied off recovery vehicle and winched out.what are your winches rated at 12k lbs.? But given the fact that the tide was coming in, I understand that time was of the essence. That being said, you guys did a phenomenal job with what you had and the time constraints. Can't wait to come back to Australia.
Working on a 88 and a half Suzuki Samurai with a 1.3 supercharged water cooled 250 horsepower motor as soon as I get the transmission transfer case and drive axles done I would love to play with you guys love the work you're doing would love to explore the world on your trails
all u guys had to do was turn the pull car around then use the snap straps to anchor round one of them trees then theres your break problem fixed then use the winch to pull the stuck car out just saying hehe
I love to come back to this video every couple years
welcome mate, same things here.
Ute tips over, Aussie response “that’s no good is it?” Priceless 👍🇦🇺
That recovery was remarkable. I thought it was over. GOD bless the man who invented winches.
I love the Australian way of understating things. "we just have to level this out a bit" as they are looking at a truck completely on its side lmao
Eh, they also said they almost lost 2 trucks...
Gravity works a bit different down under
The Ball yeah true once I was doing a skid on my Bmx bike and went 60 degrees sideways and just kept riding
That's called the British way...
Australia is where the test the cars they keep running or die
I love how Jas puts handbrake on even though it's bogged to the eyeballs 🤣🤣
Balls deep in the mud and the Toyota handbrake is still useless
Over 40 years of four wheel driving and I've never seen such a extreme recovery , great TV boys , keep up the great work !!!! Love the look on your face Mate
Finally a professional with experience who can appreciate the efforts the boys made under the circumstances. Well done to you sir.
Hey man. I'm not sure if you're in Australia, but these guys have entire episodes of getting stuck in mud. They used to tow a 2500 kg boat as well!
after they finally get free.
camera man: okay can you drive across now i didnt get the shot.
The fact you were able to keep your composure through all that amazes me. I watched this video with a friend as we prepare for an overlanding trip from California to Argentina. The whole time I was just telling him, "You know I would be losing my shit right? I can't believe these badass aussies!"

Brilliant recovery
May have been the most stupid thing you have ever done but was one of the best lessons you have ever given. This is what we need to see. A big thank you to the camera man.
That camera man knew what he was doing! good on him for making some great footage!
Moto Thumper best comment award.
Moto Thumper j
Also he made him sink
I love how the guy throws the camera man under the bus for the whole incident at both the beginning and end of the video
+1lapmagic I mean he's not wrong lol
+1lapmagic If the camera man got his shit together and got it the first take they wouldn't have been in that mess. But at the same time this mess is what went viral and gave them tons of publicity...
1lapmagic I didn't see it that way at all. The way he said it both times wasn't in an accusatory tone. I don't think he was trying to blame him.
cameraman didn't say "go" yet when they just drove off.
Not his fault.
This is the greatest recovery ever recorded!!!!!!!!!! Outstanding job guys
Lucky thiers so many youtube experts that know exactly what to do when this happens.
In hindsight it's great to see that you guys are only human and that things can go wrong for even the professionals. Makes for interesting watching lol! Great recovery guys. Xx
What a bloody awesome recovery, teamwork from two good mates, lucky you know the outback!
Lots of Monday morning quarterbacks with genius vehicle recovery suggestions from behind their screens. You guys were fantastic in executing this, and I loved your attitude.

sthnwatch Straya men are the best.
Well, you see, if they had been hauling a D9 dozer they could have gotten that truck out before the tide even started to come i.
Clifton Bertram lol I was curious if the winch could pull both truck out at once like a train. Maybe it couldn't but seems like a logical plan if it could.
adamwilson301 I was thinking the same thing
i don't think they have enough stuff on the top of the trucks
Lol I know right
I've literally never seen people pack as much stuff as Australians. It's in there DNA.
Ute*
Top and rear heavy.......
😂
WOW! You Guy's got LUCKY on that one! That was Close!! Good thing for the Winch and Quick thinking. Cool that you had the camera too record this. This is the story that needs video proof! Cool that you guy's have it! Thanks!

That was really too close for my comfort, and I'm watching safely from the other side of the world. You guys are lucky, lucky, lucky!
where was the footage of the camera man with the black eye?? :D
NFORSA HA! *punches camera guy* "There's ya shot mate!!" XD
Think that’ll be found footage when someone finds what’s left of the cameraman
this is the only time I have ever seen continuous panic pay off
This is the best off road video I have ever seen. Unbelievable recovery job!
How far did the camera man have to walk after you left him there ?
He is still walking..
He is still walking..
Still walking.....
Still walking...
I saw him walking down the highway trying to catch a ride
Jase & Simon, AMAZING!! you both have displayed , courage, comradeship, stayed to game plan, and just got on with it! Boys, that's how its done. ....... I'm sure a lot of those Big Mouths would have crawled up into a ball and just cried.
I'm a fan, lessons learn't, thank you.
Amazing recovery. Impressive how everyone kept calm and stuck to a plan even as things got worse. Was on the edge of my seat watching. Excellent. Just subscribed. Good on you mate.
My heart was pounding watching this. Great recovery guys!
5:16 *pops door* "that wasn't good, was it?!"
I WAS BAWLING LAUGHING, that's amazing hahahaha
This is every time I would go off roading with my buddies late at night. One of us would get stuck in a place that looked harmless and it would turn into an all night event.
That's when you learn the importance of floodlights
I've never been stuck--so far--but the 'harmless' part: you're right. Sometimes the no-brainer places are the worst.
Haha, waited for ages to see how you both got out of THAT one!! Well worth the wait. Good stuff lads.
Wow, you guys did a great job, I think my heart was pumping as much as yours!
Well done to get out of that one guys ! Bloody lucky too !
Incredible. What a test of your equipment, skills, and patience!
5:15 is simon's greatest line.
“There’s not a mark on it!!!!” 😂😂😂😂 That’d so be me lol 😭
I liked how they never quit and kept going on
"that there would have to be the stupidest thing I've ever done."
That ought to be the club motto for all men with 4x4's. I've said it quite a few times myself.
Haha I was just about to post the same thing :o
Let me guess u drive a mazda soft top
Haha, same....flopped a 80 myself. If you never flopped or had yourself in a pinch, you weren’t pushing your experience or learning.
Thanks for the camera man because of this you got plenty of subscriptions. Amazing stuff happened & 4x4 adventure on its finest!
Have to say incredible team work in such little time given! Bravo
Cool video guys, glad you got both rigs out of there in time. This is the worst kind of stuck because the treads get filled, no traction, suction from the mud/sand, and time running out because of rising water!! Couldn't believe it when you flipped the one right back over and only a bent mirror!!
the accents make this that much better l
Eh what the bloody hell you talkin bout mate? I don't hear any bloomin accents here lol.
of course that why we watch them
You guys take crazy Aussie to a whole new level. Love it!
Jeez I love this show. Have never done this stuff, but boy, just love watchin the boys have their fun.
Don’t understand all they say. But I do admire the fact that nothing makes them angry. They are never annoyed. That has to be unique to Australian males

You could geet a 6 wheeled vehicle, then you'd have a good reason to have a really big engine to power 6 wheels, and not just 4.
they are geared to go for several weeks out in the outbacks! And they need all the power because of the heavy loads that they carry. Never trust a camera man.
This is a great video. It's real, and you guys did a great job getting out of there. There are a lot of things to learn from this. Thanks!
Sir you call it a mistake and while it technically was. I call it how to work efficiently and properly to solve a problem! Excellent job friend
wow what an ordeal and great teamwork, friendship. I have done some recoveries but never ever ever had to deal with tides like that.
5:15 that's the spirit lad love this guy
The best story I've seen in years...Fair dinkum
Thats why you never go solo on off road adventures .
salisburyplain998 absolutely correct
Marcus Gusman he’s just saying this video should teach you not to
I once did. I cried
Great urgency & teamwork... That was a close one.
Ocean beech sand is a real tough situation, tides make things real bad. No traction even with the best 4 wheeler. Never seen a turnover recovery like that. Great save, I learned a lot watching.
This looks like so much fun
Team work. Major rule in 4 x 4. Well donne guys...
OMG, that was intense. holy sheet, fair dinkum, that was mad!! Glad you both made it.
That is one of the CRAZIEST things i have ever seen. Talk about what else could go wrong and make things even worse........ Mate you both with quick thinking and experience out did yourselves. I don't know who else could have got themselves out of this rolling disaster............You both are absolute bloody LEGENDS !
Well done you guys! That was a real heart stopper and the camera man got a much better footage. So cool guys. So cool.
"One previous careful owner" :D
One careful owner. Not sure about the other ten.
Garage kept...only used a couple weekends...
I got stressed out just watching this. Glad things worked ok. That would have been a nightmare had you not.
Amazing Save, Well done!! Best I've Seen!! Love it!!
One of the high quality videos that RUclips has. Well done
One of the best 4x4 videos
Camera Man: Great work guys! That was some awesome footage! Can you imagine the ratings from THAT?!?!? But hey can we do it again, I didnt hit record.
Why is half of this video showing what happened in part 1?
Ah right. I watched the first part then the second straight after so it was a little annoying re-watching what I just watched.
cuz the first half is very shamfull.lol
+skajari1 exactly lol
Don't say you're stupid Jase for doing what you did, it's a normal offroader instinct to drive again in the track you've driven before subconsciously thinking that it is harder like in almost all muddy tracks. Dinky-Di yea mate spot on can't agree more with that
I agree,He would be stupid if they didn't know how to get out of that situation, That's half the fun of off roading.
WOW. That is insane. So glad you guys were able to save both trucks in the end. Subscribed.
That dude was focused, calm and steady....... Way to go
"is that the craziest thing you've ever seen?" gave me a laugh.
Can't even imagine the sheer pressure you're under when you get yourself neck deep in shit like that, gotta think fast and on your feet, especially when new obstacles just keep showing up after everything you do, at least we got a good ending and I'm sure those gents learned a lot!
you two blokes should get office jobs
nadx1000 the problem is they have office jobs. they should get bicycles maybe mountain bikes
I bet U wouldn't know what to do hero!
Why there great at adventuring
nadx 1000 You wouldn't have a clue .
You would have held the throttle full noise as it went over and hydraulic locked the engine.
@@kostikyoda1078 , OMG! SOOOOooooo funny! And they DID get the job done! LOL
One of the best RUclips movie I ve ever watched.
When I don’t get a coffee in the morning I give up😂
Legends says that the camera man is still walking...
Amazing recovery! Had me on the edge of my seat wondering if you'd get out of it.
This is when mateship and the australian-only level of grit and persistence keeps jase at it
That's gotta be to best recovery story I ever seen. Hands down
"That just blew my mind" lol
This happened to my uncle and I once and it kept sinking in. We had 2 fj80's, 2 f-150's, a raptor, and a bronco. Every truck got stuck except for the bronco because he came late. We got stuck for 28 hours.
remind me to never take my Tacoma out with you guys haha
After the guy rolled that truck, I can't remember laughing so hard in my life.
Still laughing ... and thinking of the old days ... thanks for the entertainment .. brilliant
Omg u two are amazing and extreme butt busters....very quick on the problem solving and on ur feet..GREAT JOB BOTH OF U!!!!!!!!
Now that's Aussie liven right there.
still one of the ballsiest videos on YT just over 4 years later
Why would you not hook the 2 trucks together with the straps and winch with the un-stuck truck, pulling the stuck truck out?
***** I must have answered this exact question about fifty times on this video. Glad to see someone else gets it.
Exactly what I was thinking
The other trucks brakes were bad for whatever reason. According to the other video.
I know a just a "lil" late 😉 but he answered that question in this video.
All 4 Adventure Brothers you guys are Awesome! Outstanding Team Work! Flipping Truck back over My Mind Blown! I Love You Guys!
yes, that is the craziest thing I ever saw! Couldnt believe that truck was up and running after it went on its side.
Well that escalated quickly
Went to slow thru the water. Next time foot to the floor dukes of hazard style.
Seen this a few times now. Never get sick of watching it LOL
Working on a 88 and a half Suzuki Samurai with a 1.3 supercharged water cooled 250 horsepower motor as soon as I get the transmission transfer case and drive axles done I would love to play with you guys love the work you're doing would love to explore the world on your trails
My point of view is you boys kept your head in a stressful situation. Stuck to the plan and turned those lemoms into tequila shots nice work lads.
oddly satisfying
Hot Donkey That's what she said!
all u guys had to do was turn the pull car around then use the snap straps to anchor round one of them trees then theres your break problem fixed then use the winch to pull the stuck car out just saying hehe
Have you seen how much stretch is in a snatch strap? Not the choice. Winch extension strap perhaps but not a snatch.
yep get up tension an you will be fine :)
also its all they had cant just nip to the hardware store lol
