The world is lucky that you have found these items because you will truly care for them and use them as they are meant to be. Your painting is absolutely beautiful. ❤
Sargent definitely put the umbrella in your sight and no better person could have it. It will be loved and appreciated and with your talent, Rajiv, you deserve it. What a special video!
I don’t paint but the joy in your eyes, not just your face or smile, your eyes are glowing and I can hear your heart bursting with joy. The word joy is such a small and simple word but its explains a lot. Congratulations on your finds.
So serendipitous for you to “finally” find the antique umbrella. Asking is key in getting what one wants. Such a Sunday morning gift this video has been. Its been many years since I have experienced the beauty of summer in the northeast and this video gave me a good reminder. Thank you Rajiv.
I found a working pachinko machine I had been hunting for for years. I couldn’t get that money out fast enough…thank you for all your wonderful videos.
lol. You know what I just really LOVE about you? We’re happiest having just the right tools 🧰 as much as the project itself. Makes perfect sense to me, no one else ever understood this factor about me… but set up, right tools are AS important . Thanks for understanding my heart,..and this alignment. I “get” you.
That bit of trivia about your having painted John Derian’s shop sign is my favorite thing in this video. It’s such an obvious pairing that my immediate thought was “but, of course!”.
I am so happy that you have focused on who you are, who you want to become, what you want to achieve, appreciated the teachers you found along the way, worked extremely hard, and been grateful for the gifts from the universe. As if that were not enough of an extraordinary accomplishment, you chose to share all you have learned with us. I, for one, am extremely grateful to be included in your journey. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️.
Rajiv, you manifested and those items "came" to you. This video on an unusually wet Sunday morning here in Plano, TX has been a gift! Thank you, my fellow Tamilian.
It was so rewarding watching you take the trouble to find an antique painter's umbrella, showing us each detail of its fine craftsmanship......which after decades, is still in good working condition. There's immeasurable pride in owning this piece of history. What a lovely garden you have. And the painting...I wish it was mine❤
How beautiful - I’m thrilled for your unicorn finds but I was also vicariously wishing to be laying on a rug in that garden with some pillows, cold tea and a good book, just soaking up the greenery and the sounds of nature ❤️
My heart almost stopped…. I love Sargent, I’m also a John Darien fan. The umbrella you found in his shop for painting would be the cherry on top! Soooo happy you found it when you did. I believe YOU manifested just what you wanted!! It belongs in your life.. Your watercolor painting is wonderful!! It feels magical… Thank you for sharing your summer with us!❤
Wow. Look at the quality of that umbrella and the chair. I always go for quality over quantity in everything. The hydrangeas are beautiful and they are huge. The one on the left and the back is even darker and stunning. Time well spent. Thank you.
That is the most beautiful umbrella I have ever seen .The cool thing is I know in 20 years if the canvas gives up the ghost you will re sheath the thing or do what ever is nessasary to keep it happy and healthy and working as something that beautiful needs ...
I was looking at it closely yesterday and noticed that the panels are hand sewn together! It wouldn't be very hard to make a new cover for it. I've done that before, with antique umbrellas.
I love it when this happens and I’m so happy for you!! I had wanted bees for so long and purchased some old top bar hives from a coworker in anticipation of one day installing some bee colonies into them. After having them stored away for a couple of years I saw one day that there was a swarm in our yard! I collected the swarm and in the morning installed them into one of my hives. That next evening I came home from work to find a SECOND swarm in our front yard!! They were installed into the second hive. I had never been so thankful to receive something that I had hoped so much for. Thank you, YHVH for these gifts!!!
I love that you found these vintage painting tools. ❤️ Very happy for you! I have a vintage water container. It's a glass container with coiled wire above it to hold the brushes. It belonged to my father, who took up painting in his 50's. When I took up painting in my 50s I was glad to have it! 😊
What amazing finds! I have some of my grandmother’s metal palettes ( she was an art student at Pratt then a commercial artist in 1930’s NYC)…I love having and using them in my own studio…
In my mind that one was once owned by Sargent himself. Love seeing you manifest such beloved items. It’s uplifting to see you so happy. Your painting is spectacular. Such talent!
Rajiv, your creator who gave you all your wonderfull talent know all your desires and needs. He was the one who at the right time supplied that umbrella. HalleluYAH for looking after you, precious in His sight. Just love all your videos. You are such an inspiration! Come visit! 🙂. From a small artist town Prince Albert, in the Karoo, South Africa, i send you blessings!
have to say that i also adore the little yellow chair... it makes me happy that you have created this artists life for yourself where all the parts and pieces of it bring you joy. ❤
That is a real joy moment when you are very intentional about what your want, looking, and are willing to be patient.. and then you get that moment of, yes. This is perfect. That gets relived everytime you use it When you treasure your space, things, and people, the world feels miraculous.
Watching this video made me so happy -- happy for you that you found those treasures and happy to have spent a few minutes in appreciation of art and serendipity.
You painted one of my favorite subjects-I love pictures of washing on the line! What a wonderful job you did and so very interesting about the umbrella.
I'm so happy that you found the umbrella and stool. I'm sure if we knew you were looking for them, we would have been helping you search for them. Beautiful painting!!!
Perfect. I know exactly how you felt when you found these! The process itself is often worth more than to the artist than the finished product. Creating multiples and pulling in the community to help, for me, has remained in my memory more clearly than the objects that were created.
Hi Rajiv, Your voice, calm & full of laughter, is very much like another here on RUclips, Kyle Heath, who gives instruction in painting. I've just finished watching Kyle's video called, 'Painting with Enthusiastic Brush Strokes'. Give him a listen, and tell me what You think! PS.: I'm going to tell Kyle Heath about you as well!
Love, love, love your painting, Rajiv! I also loved seeing your absolute joy and wonder at finding those beautiful tools. I think all artists love their tools. The right paper, pigments, and brushes contribute so much to the experience of painting. I have a couple of Isabey brushes, too. They are amazing! Happy Birthday! So happy you share these precious times with us.
Rajiv, thank you for sharing your magic with your Fans. I love your artistic eye and your respect for the process. Your watercolor is beautiful and I am sure your Followers all wish we could purchase one! Always love and respect your Magic, till next time ❤️⭐️❤️
Your watercolor is so beautiful! I love this story about the umbrella and Sargent. Your umbrella makes me think of how craftsmanship speaks loudly. Like you I love the beauty of objects.
It is the universe, law of attraction, positive energy…who knows but it does work. So happy you found such beautiful piece to make your creative experience even more enjoyable.
I'm so excited for you! Your unguarded joy in telling the story was infectious. Your painting is summer. I'd love to hear how you felt afterward about using the umbrella and the difference it made. Thank you!
What a find! When I first came to Perth I saw an old advertising sign for a re-covering service for strollers and umbrellas. It would be amazing if businesses like that still existed.
What a serendipitous find! And thank you for the point about asking for something out load. Especially now as today is the full moon and a great time to set intentions
This is the perfect example of the power of manifestation. Here in this exammple, lies the secret. You put your request onto the wind, you allowed the UNIVERSE to work it's MAGICK and bring the item to you. Without a fixation on it, without a constant looking for it. You had the desire, put the wish out to the UNIVERSE, then you LET IT GO! When we release the attachment to the things we want, it lets the UNIVERSE know we are willing to be co-creators in the adventure of it "BECOMING". We continue to be ourselves and we relish in the idea of "MAGICKAL THINKING". In doing so, things like this manifest themselves, validating that this whole LIFE thing is an interplay with US and the DIVINE. When we let the UNIVERSE take the wheel, the most incredible things seem to happen! Congratulations on following the breadcrumbs and allowing the MAGICK to just flow!
Amazing find, so happy for you! My grandmother was an oil painter, I can still smell the oils & turpentine. Heartwarming memories. Your painting is truly lovely!

I love listening to you… You’re sort of the Bob Ross of decorating, painting, living… I love the elegance and simplicity of the things you create ❤
That bit of trivia about your having painted John Derian’s shop sign is my favorite thing in this video. It’s such an obvious pairing that my immediate thought was “but, of course!”.
What an absolute joy! I’m glad you got to experience that moment ❤ enjoy painting á la Sargent from now on!
Seeing you so happy makes the world a softer and more peaceful place.
Rajiv is what the universe gives us mere mortals when it is showing off...
Patience pays off. Artists know this

I was thinking that too😊
Lovely idea to share 🦋
You don't have to tell us. You're vibrating in happiness. It's great!
