Gen X here, I have a 1980 z28 (Texas car) with less than 40k miles on it. I am the 2nd adult female owner. It has been sitting in my garage for over 20 years. It's nice to see that these cars are still appreciated!
I had an 1980 also that my late big brother bought me in 1982. It was midnight blue with gold graffics. I absolutely loved it and him, however, times got tough and I had to let her go and regret ever having to do so. I made a promise to myself that I will do my best to capture those moments with me and him cruising around Orlando trying to find Disney World. 😆
I had a red one just like it in high School after I wrecked my 1972 Mach 1 I'm fixing it now in my garage after sitting since 95... PEACE ✌️ love your channel
Looks Great Callie. Glad to see you made it through the hurricane. I know there was a lot of damage in your area . This was the last year before the computer command control started so a good one to buy.
Yeah down by the beaches they’re all destroyed or 25 miles inland we didn’t really get any damage except for tree branches blowing down and the electricity has been off that’s the only reason we haven’t posted for nine days
Was 12 and even us young car fans in school were bummed. Cool looking cruisers which isnt a bad thing. Would love to have one for a daily now that Im retired.
@@musclecarsforsaleinc Is that the original 350 in the Z? I think in '80 and '81 only Canadian built Z/28s were available with a 350 4-speed. If memory serves, in the US only the 305 could be had with a manual trans by that time.
Hello Callie. I had an 1981 Z28 while stationed in Hawaii 84-86. Truthfully. It's a little overpriced. I would say asking 27,k would be better my friend. Those engines didn't even produce 200 horsepower. The Trans and had more ponies. 220-260. If it was a 455 SD. Some had 335. Just saying. Keep up the good 👍 work
With this car with the in cabin shot you have the perfect excuse to punch it, that way we can see the cowl induction flaps open. Don't worry about the speed because these are very slow. still better than an 80 T/A with a 301
@@musclecarsforsaleinc Had lots of friends with these back in the day with the sound, low end torque and a tack with lots of numbers all the way to 5k, oooo, makes it feel like its moving but 190 factory hp up 15 from 79, maybe 200 with the headers and 3600lbs, its not. Still cool cars tho and it is nice and clean original

Glad to hear you're all safe and the cars are fine. There is a video out of a fella with a '70 Super Bird upside down in his yard. Breaks my heart.
Yeah he’s like 200 feet from the beach he should’ve moved them
So cool , a beautiful woman driving a muscle car !
Unfortunately, by this time, the Z/28 and other "muscle cars" had been neutered by gov't. pressure on the manufacturers. Sad.

Back in the day my brother had a black 1980 Z just like that. In 1992 he sold it for $1800 in perfect condition.
Yeah good comment I remember those days.... Days where you can pick them up a diamond dozen..
