They go thru the test drive, but DONT show the functional air induction vents, opening and closing, upon hard accelleration. That to me is selling point.
People say it's nostalgia. I say for the same price I can get a brand new Camaro with A/C and much more horsepower in a turbo 4, and better gas mileage and loaded.
@@gordocarbo that's because I remember the era! We loved our 60's and early 70's muscle cars but by 75' thru the early to mid 80's we referred them as the crap car and emissions generation. Not to many people that remember the up to 74' muscle car generation wasn't liking what came afterwards. My first car was a 68' barracuda formula S notchback 383-4spd. 2nd was a 70' Plymouth superbird 440- 6 pack 4spd. After 74' the car companies played a game with the public with fancy stripes fake hood scoops that did nothing T-Tops and lowered compression ratio. Maybe you loved them from "your era" but not mine! They didn't start making real horsepower again until the later 90's to early 2000's era and even the turbo cars of the 80s gimmick era were okay until the turbo clogged up after 50-60k miles. Different strokes for different folks!
Fast Times at Ridgemont High was my school's anthem, very nice car had a 79 4 speed when the movie came out. I'm gonna cruz to the coast and catch some tasty waves, then I'm gonna pick up Mick and party with the Stones LOL
@@scottdionne333 - I think you're right on that because the US '81 350s were the ones with the Computer Command Control (CCC) Module that controlled the carburetor's fuel/air mix and idle at varying speeds and a few other emissions items, all of which required an automatic transmission to sync to properly... The 350s on the 1980 US models still had the standard 4 barrel carbs...
I know I'll catch a lot of flack for saying this but, the manual transmission ruined this car. With T-tops, this is actually my dream car, same year, same color...everything. But the manual transmission is a definite deal breaker.
Love it nice car great shape 👍🏻 !
Glad you like it!

His name was Jefferson.
I'm not sure, but on the '80 and '81, wasn't the 4 Speed only available with the 305?
I believe you could still get a 350 4-speed in 1980 but you could only get that combo in ‘81 if it was a made for Canada car.
